OLED can work with current transmission and can use 4k later! Best of both worlds.
So true!
....and this is without PR! What does the fox say to that?
Has anyone stated they would use AIVtechs OLED panels?
This might have something to do with it.

That's right. Dr. Fowler & Nabil Simaan developed the technology together at Columbia. Nabil than went to Vanderbilt to be at ARMA. I was looking for that information on bladder surgery. Titan medical has plans beyond just SPORT IMO.
Aren't we the the smart traders here?
What does the Fox say........
You guys know the song right? Just couldn't let it go. Lol
Exactly! I've watched the videos. I wouldn't use it. To much crowding. It's a glorified laparoscopic instrument. How can you have 3-D vision if you looking at 2 dimension screen? We've all watched a 3-D movie. You have to wear 3-D glasses to be immersed. You have to have a console with binocular vision to have 3-D vision and have full immersion. Duh! Can we stop talking about surgibot and the spider on this board and stick to Titan please?
Yes. Or they are not telling us the exact size yet. The daVinci system also works through a 25mm port. Just speculating.
The initial SPORT prototype (before it was licensed by Titan) was 15mm.
Which one?
I bought all my shares when it was being sold. People were afraid so I got greedy.
He also said...."Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago." If this is my chance to plant a tree I'm not going to miss it, even if the tree may never grow." I'm very new to investing. I started this year but that's why I'm invested in Titan.
What does vesting mean?
Wow.....and that was 3 years ago!
Don't worry. Everything that happens on this board stays on this board!
What cauterization product? Which company?
What cauterization product? Which company?
I had seen the spider surgery gadget but not the robot. Neither are that impressive. If the surgeon is at bedside you can't have true 3D binocular vision. No benefit over traditional laparoscopy IMO.
Maybe Google will buy Titan.
Good point. Btw the DaVinci SS technology looks very impressive. It may have more range of motion. We should all take note. I had never seen it before. Also, I think SS robotic surgery will really penetrate inguinal hernia repair surgery as well. Lap chole an IHR makes up the bulk of the volume of most bread and butter general surgeons. It will be interesting.
Great info. I'm the only general surgeon doing robotic surgery at my hospital. We have a new rep and now it make sense why he is always trying to meet with me if I'm not doing as many cases. I don't think that incentive method right! That is just driving up the price of the the technology. I am personally turned off when an a non-physician is trying to persuade me to alter patient treatment for his or her financial gain. It just doesn't seem right.
A few months ago, before I joined this board, I read an article about the technology licensed to Titan Medical being used for the development of a new type of cystoscopy apparatus. It had a small camera with a single "snake like" arm for taking a biopsy. I believe I read it on surgrobs blog but I can't find it now. Does anybody follow that blog? Has anyone else seen that article? If anyone does, could you please post the link to this board? I think Titan Medical has plans beyond SPORT. IMHO.
Sounds good.
Thanks for the great articles. I am investing in AIVI because of what the Chinese did with CFL bulbs not to long ago. Not great inventors but efficient mass producers. I hope I'm right!
.....but will they go back in the penalty box? We should all hope not.
So do you know Dr. Fowler?
Will AIVI be manufacturing OLED or AMOLED screens? They are different.
Robs911 is a gynecologist and does hysterectomys, not cholecystectomys It would be hard to explain how to do it in a post. I did three on Thursday. I am sure there are videos on YouTube. Many experienced general surgeons can do straight forward, uncomplicated laparoscopic cholecystectomies with 2, instruments and a camera. They take 30 minutes or less.
I am not as invested as a lot of you all are because I need more proof that this is going to work. Please refer to some of my previous post about the questions I posed to the company.
If a SPORT cholecystectomy is not at minimum as quick and easy as a traditional laparoscopic cholecystectomy, it will not fly with general surgeons IMHO.
I am hopeful that it will since a general surgeon is the co-inventor of the technology. I just need more evidence.
Through your broker ie Scottrade. Multiple posts about this on this board.
I agree. It's not coming back to the .05-.80 range again. This train has left the station. IMHO.
It was me. Still hanging in there waiting for the big payday!
I also use scottrade and my branch is near my house. I will be visiting them this week to get warrants.
The DaVinci robot was approved in Europe before being approved by the FDA.
Those articles are usually promoted with the help of intuitive reps. There are very many out there. Intuitive reps are very savvy at marketing. My rep also helped me get featured in an article in my local newspapers since I was the first surgeon to perform a single site cholecystectomy at my hospital. The rep basically gave me examples of press releases from different hospitals. I simply changed the names of the surgeon and the hospital,...literally. I emailed the press release to the editor. He called my office the next day. He asked me some questions on the phone and sent a photographer to the hospital to take pictures of me with the robot. The article was in several papers in 2 weeks. Instant notoriety for me and intuitive. They have it down to a science! I just hope Titan can learn from intuitives mistakes and do an even better job. It will a challenge. Intuitive is very good at this!
How are they not as liquid?
Great explanation! Now I get. After exercising the warrants do you owe capital gains tax at the same rate as selling shares?
