I'm going to start a rumor that the rise in volume and share price has something to do with the FDA - IMO
These are old, but I don't remember seeing them before, or any mention of an office in San Diego...

If you haven't put in an order for your Google Glasses, then now would be a good time to do so.
And everyone should charge up their UV penlights, as the War on Counterfeits is about to ramp up!
That's the problem with being an "outsider" silly...we never know what's going to happen until it's too late to sell or buy at the most premium price either way.
But APDN better say something soon to justify this price and volume rise, or they'll have the SEC sniffing at their butts. lol
Actually, it's probably people at the SEC who are causing the spike.
Good morning yip and all...uhmmm...looks like I'm late to 2nd your motion yip, but...
...Go APDN!
Way to keep digging yip!
You're going to find APDN gold yet!
Either that or their septic tank.
Thanks for the concern sunny..
To clarify...I would only sell a small fraction of my shares when the price hits a dollar, none before, and then I would sell a few more every ten dollar gain after that (like at 10, 20, 30, 40, etc...).
There's a good homework assignment for someone...I keep hearing that Rome wasn't built in a day, but I've never heard how long it actually took to build it...
...if it took more than two decades, I need to rethink my APDN strategy.
Have a great weekend all!
Except APDN's losing streak is at least 40 and counting...
the odds are in favor of them winning eventually, so don't give up hope yet. (Like I have.)
I can feel something, but I don't know if it's hope or not. Might be my developing (thanks to APDN) ulcer...
I keep putting bids in at a dollar, but it doesn't seem to be helping to move the price up any.
And I'm not selling for anything less than a dollar either.
So there's my support for APDN, whether they deserve it or not.
Sometimes I feel like its 1961 and we're rooting for the Philidelphia Phillies. lol
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_longest_losing_streak_in_MLB_history
Are you sure we have support here and we're not still standing on thin ice?
I thought we had great support in the .18-.19 range, but that ended up being as supportive as an XXL jockstrap on a 98 lb. weakling. lol
I agree some decent news would move us up, but APDN seems content to continue to dribble out either mundane, or lackluster performance types of info. (Spooning out watery gravy with no meat or potatoes...)
Hopefully at some point they'll have no option but to report something good.
Thanks ms. johnsyn.
Hi back at you sunny and all. I'm being quiet today because I can't bear to watch anymore, so am keeping my eyes shut tight most of the time.
Hard to type that way because I use the hunt and peck method of typing.
Coming up next month...
Nice looking website and schedule...

Workshop Title: SigNature® DNA Marking and Forensic Authentication of Electronic Components
Applied DNA Sciences offers a botanical-based DNA taggant solution for the electronics industry that authenticates and verifies DNA-marked components. The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency clause 52.211-9074 requires SigNature® DNA to be applied on all federal supply class 5962 microcircuits, which have been determined to be at high risk of counterfeiting. We also believe there is great value for distributors, OCMs and OEMs to implement this technology beyond hi-rel 5962 components. SigNature® DNA marking adds a forensic layer of protection to the electronic component supply-chain and complements industry partners practicing the highest quality industry standards.
Instructors: Janice Meraglia & Bob MacDowell.
Or Forward Components which coincidentally is about a stone's throw away from Component Trends?

True, we all knew not to expect much because the mandate dollars wouldn't really begin to kick in until the next financials (or so), but I don't think any of us ever imagined in our worst nightmares that a company that has been around as long as APDN has, that has their fingers in so many pies, that has a presence both domestically and overseas, that has been to conferences and trade shows doing presentations along with the biggest names in the business, and that finally came out with the technology to easily read and verify a botanical dna taggant using an iPhone almost a year ago, couldn't manage to scrape up at least 1 million in sales last quarter. Or that that amount would be $200,000.00 less than the same time period the previous year.
After 15 years of peddling their technology and finally getting recognition as a legitimate crime fighting weapon by police and political agencies, the best they can do is a little over one hundred thousand a month? Really?
I think a hard working, social person working by his or her self could almost manage to make that kind of money running a lemonade stand in Long island during the summer. (Ok...make that two people, because someone would need to make lemon and ice runs while the other one kept pushing the product.)
Well...as I said before...I don't know nuthin' 'bout nuthin'...we shall just have to wait and see if APDN ends up giving us lemons to make lemonade out of, or if they give us the money to buy some already made.
It's all beyond me silly, but something isn't kosher with the whole deal IMO.
I call him my "insider", but he's just a rich kid in an investment club. He did a report on APDN, and the information he had and the people he talked with was pretty impressive, and he happened to be from Stony Brook NY, so I figured he knew Jim.
I told myself that as long as that club held APDN shares, I was good with holding APDN shares, but once they didn't, then I should sell mine too.
Had I stayed with that strategy, I would have sold at .21 with a nice profit. As it is, I'm sitting on a loss if I sell right now.
And them dumping their shares shortly before the financials came out could have been a lucky guess, or....Uncle Jim called to let him know the dollars weren't piling up on APDN's doorstep yet.
"Meanwhile, private companies contract directly with the US Government and are paid millions/billions of dollars over the years with taxpayer's (i.e., OUR) money for their mandated marked components."
What we are seeing is the snowball just starting down the mountainside. Pretty soon it will turn into an avalanche of money for those private companies.
ms. johnsyn...when you have a moment...what's your take on my "theory"?
That was then. This is now.
SMT, a privately held company, is about to make millions/billions of dollars of taxpayer money because they are "DNA compliant".
http://www.smtcorp.com/sites/all/media/img/rsz4_comply2.jpg
My guess is that this guy is going to benefit in some way from the goverment contracts SMT is going to be receiving. But that's just in my own weird opinion, of course.
http://www.smtcorp.com/senator-blumenthal-visits-smt-0
Oh APDN...what deal with the devil have you made?!?!?!
Please, please, please, PLEASE get your share price back up to 20 cents so I can dump you at a minimal profit! lol
apdn1....thanks for the info, but you're making my stomach hurt worse.
Whatever....I'll push the wheel chair myself if I have to!!!
lol
Good having you back around deep space. We might not ever be able to laugh all the way to the bank, but we can still have a good time as we wait this thing out.
And that scenario would explain how a company like Crede Capital can put out so much money for so little return.
IMO - Their concern isn't with making money back on the front end with a return on what they "invested" in a company, their concern is with making sure the company they gave money to survives so that Crede is able to score oodles and oodles of taxpayer money on the back end of the deals going on.
I think it would be a good move to start a laundry service ASAP. But one that only launders botanical dna marked money, because there's going to be a lot of that needing to be "cleaned" real soon. IMO. lol
If you've ever hired Rod Stewart to sing at a party of yours, you'd probably agree with me fully on this.
Hear Hear Deep Space!
I think I would be happy if they could just get up one set of steps to the 2nd floor.
LOL...thanks Yip. At this point, I actually would love it if the feeling in my gut was an ulcer and had nothing whatsoever to do with my suspicions about the "good" Dr. and his clan.
Go APDN! You cheeky buggers you!!!
It is depressing, and my heart is heavy right now, thinking that we are probably going to be staying at this level for a long time.
Even when APDN reaches "equilibrium", I don't think the share price will go up much, if at all because of the outstanding share count.
Hopefully APDN will do some tricks for us (like a share buyback, revenues far exceeding expenses, etc.) to change all that, but they don't seem concerned enough about the current shareholders for that to happen.
Again - I sincerely hope they prove me wrong!!!
Well crap...so that's the game.
Or the "scam" in my opinion.
Government mandates use of a public company's anti-counterfeit technology on "mission critical" parts.
Public company contracts with private company to provide government mandated technology for an amount that is probably less than the public company's electric bill for the year.
Public company enters into more contracts with private companies and their revenues slowly rise to reach "equilibrium" with their expenses, thus making them a legitimate ongoing entity, and not a total scamming penny stock. But IMO, revenues will probably never exceed expenses, (on paper) because net income would need to have taxes paid on them, and that's a big no no in this country for corporations to do that. (Please refer to Apple's offshore accounts which holds billions in dollars they would need to pay taxes on if they brought them back state-side).
Meanwhile, private companies contract directly with the US Government and are paid millions/billions of dollars over the years with taxpayer's (i.e., OUR) money for their mandated marked components.
Private company executives/owners get rich, rich, rich, and kick back some BIG bucks to their political friends and the public company folks who made it all possible - all under the table of course since they are a private company and don't have to report anything to the SEC.
What a racket!!! It's so easy to fleece the average American taxpayer, no wonder so many companies and politicians are doing it. lol
Now I know why my little "suspected" insider guy bailed on APDN's stock weeks before their last financials came out after just buying into the stock last October....he either figured out what was happening on his own, or someone in the know told him to get out because APDN would never amount to anything for its stockholders. IMO and suspicians of course.
And then again, I could be wrong about all that, and the APDN share price could be going to da moon someday.
But my gut instincts tell me otherwise.
I saw that apdn1, or rather I didn't see that too.
Evidently they don't post every comment, and since mine talked about APDN again, they probably opted to not show it.
It's a conspiracy I tell you! A conspiracy!!!
Thanks for the link Wishful...
I put in my 2 cents.
Well..I called Apple to see if my APDN buyout rumor had any merit or not.
After I went through the whole automated phone system thing to where I could finally speak with a live person, (no easy task in itself I tell you...) I told the lady who answered who I was, what information I was after, and that I wanted to speak with whomever could answer my questions. Pronto!
She told me in her best businessy voice to, "Hold please", and I've been holding and listening to elevator music for 3 hours now. I don't want to hang up and lose my place in the que. I'm sure the buyout information guy or girl is swamped these days. I'll give it 4 more hours, but then I need to go home for the day.
lol
http://defensetech.org/2011/11/08/counterfeit-parts-found-on-new-p-8-posiedons/
"Earlier this year, Boeing and the Navy found that the ice detection system on a brand new P-8 Poseidon was defective. The ice detection system is a critical piece of hardware designed to prevent tragedies by alerting pilots to the presence of ice on an aircraft’s control surfaces. Where did this defective part come from? China. A whole batch of a key piece of the ice detection hardware that was sent to the P-8 production line turned out to be used and worn out parts that were badly refurbished and sold to P-8 subcontractor BAE Systems as a new part, according to Levin. Boeing and BAE first became aware of the problem in 2009, he added."
Let's see, that was in 2011. In 2012 all these companies got together to discuss the issue of counterfeit parts in the military supply chain...

Counterfeit Subcommittee
Mission:This subcommittee reviews issues concerning counterfeit items and materials and makes recommendations to the Defense Standardization Program Office (DSPO), concerning their detection, risk mitigation, and reporting.
...and look which companies are the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Counterfeit Subcommittee.
Too funny! Let's hope they get their own houses cleaned up before making any recommendations to anyone else.
Seems amazing that APDN is a member of that group along with all those major players, that they met to discuss counterfeiting issues (problems/solutions) a year ago, and the best all of them can put together is a "not to exceed" $150,000.00 contract between APDN and the DLA for authentication services.
More and more I get the feeling that the players are playin' us, and it might be too late to get out of the game with any type of big "winnings".
But...as always...we shall see.
APDN - You cheeky bugger you!!!
"$137,000,000,000 is a lot of money.
Apple has enough cash on hand to buy every man, woman and child in the U.S., UK, and Germany a $300 iPod Touch, and have a little left over for a case or two. Apple has enough cash to buy every person on the planet a $20 lunch. And Apple has enough cash to pay off the national debts of New Zealand, Kenya, Nigeria, Jamaica, Cuba, Egypt, Vietnam, and Singapore."
http://venturebeat.com/2013/01/23/apples-cash-hoard-reaches-137-billion/
Now I have to say that, THAT is a total coincidence, because while Apple has enough money to do all that, APDN has enough botanical dna markers to mark every man, woman and child in the U.S., UK, and Germany, and every $300 iPod Touch out there, and still have plenty left over.
At today's market capitalization, if Apple were to buy out APDN at a 20% premium, that would amount to approximately $107,000,000.00.
107 million is less than 1/10 of 1% of 137 billion dollars.
Apple probably has fat fingered accounting errors bigger than that.
Some Apple accountant could sneeze and go "Oops, I just bought APDN. Sorry, my bad."
APDN - Don't let the wolves get you for half off. Make them pay!!!
What the heck...I might even offer a 25% premium if I was feeling generous.
A buyout could be why the share price has been manipulated down to its current level. IMO
If I were buying a company, I would gladly offer to pay a 20% premium over the current share price (like you know who did when he bought that ketchup company a little while ago), if that stock price is now 50% lower than it was a month ago.
What a deal that would be!
Man...this board is quiet. I think we need to get a rumor started to generate some excitement. lol

Apple = Money to burn
APDN = Money to be made
"It’s mobile meets cloud computing meets big data, with genomics as glue holding them all together."
Sounds like a match made in the "Cloud" if you ask me. Has anyone heard of a potential joint venture between the two, or a buyout of APDN by Apple?
I have posted this before, and I will post it again, as I'm convinced APDN is going to be a major player in what is described in the article.
http://www.wassom.com/living-in-ipv6-what-happens-when-everything-everywhere-goes-online.html
"Micro- and nano-sized taggants can be sprayed on virtually anything to serve as invisible identifiers."
Hmmmm....I wonder where one would get nano-sized taggants like that?
Exciting and scary stuff, that's for sure.
Thanks yip. I'll bet you're right!
I will send her an email and see if she responds.
I don't know if someone posted this already or not, but I was glad to see APDN finally had a new blog article.
http://www.adnas.com/company-blog/early_adopter_uses_signature_dna_to_secure_DOD-supply_chain_rack_up_ROI
From the blog...
DLA stated in an article “DLA is initially targeting microelectronics, but the technology is used with other commodities commercially and has broad implications for other DLA products and equipment at risk for counterfeiting.”
"the technology is used with other commodities commercially"
What?! What commodities? WHO?! How do they know it's commodities plural?!!
C'mon APDN - quit being an elitist bunch of capitalists! Honestly tell us what's happening already!!!
Still more shares consistently for sale then are being bid for.
Not a good sign.
How does one express "hugeness" when talking about nanotechnology?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/google/9918794/Google-Glass-the-scientists-behind-Googles-augmented-reality-glasses.html
Please note certain items from the article have commonalities, or connections, whether direct or indirect, with APDN.
Funded by the US defence department
BAE Systems
it’s feasible that the technology has implications for space exploration too.
Parviz was brought onto Glass due to his research on nanotechnology,
“We already see a future in which the humble contact lens becomes a real platform, like the iPhone is today, with lots of developers contributing their ideas and inventions,” he wrote in 2009. “As far as we’re concerned, the possibilities extend as far as the eye can see, and beyond.”
Huge technology advancement with huge dollar amounts to be made.
APDN and others are going to make a lot of money soon, but the huge question is whether or not they are going to share that money with their small dollar investors.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that they do.
And I'm not beyond begging (grovelling at the good Dr's feet) if it will help. lol
P.S.
By the way yip...I did put in a call to Debbie Bailey last Friday to ask her my question, but there was no answer, I left a message, and I've gotten no response yet.
Imagine wearing a pair of these glasses, and thanks to APDN's technology, as you shop you can see if something is genuine or not, what it's expiration is if it has one, etc.
And it will become so much bigger than that. I'm sure there will be a government version and a "public" version of these type of glasses.
