You may call them "games" but, in truth, they're strategies that have been successfully deployed against the longs who do not have any counter-strategies and have been grossly outwitted to date. It's too bad that such machinations are tolerated in the 'wild west' of stock speculation. Despite having a superlative, disruptive technology, ANY and shareholders are powerless and helpless before the powerful shorts!
Thanks Sons, that helps to clarify my thinking on the issue. eom
PLease forgive my ignorance but when there's a short squeeze and multiple shorts are selling, causing big volume, should there not be a pps explosion upward, not this mediocrite rise witnessed over the last of days and/or the downward pressure we're presently witnessing?
I don't know about anyone else, but the only time in the past that I have witnessed massive volume and share price movements like today's, is when pump and dumps have been in play. I'm not suggesting this is a pump and dump but I am suggesting the price movements on this much volume (highest ever) are puzzling and disconcerting.
Wow, wild pps fluctuations!!! What's happening?
Why is this stock so f*%#in weak??? It's not looking like ANY news can prop up this led balloon excepting, perhaps, an announcement that they have partnered with Viagra!!!
Respectfully Atlanta, this is the same rhetoric that has appeared over and over and over again on this board over the last several months, all the while the pps nosedives. Remember the glee and celebratory postings when ANY delisted from the TSXV? Many claimed that the manipulation would stop as it was all a result of, and fault of, the TSXV listing. I doubt anyone holds that view now!!
Enough of the prognostics of when the shorts will have their day. It is evident to even the most cursory eye that no one - and I mean no one - has a clue of when that day will arrive. This might bleed all the way down to a dollar. No one knows.
"The good news just keeps on coming" fueling more criminal and illegal stock manipulation beyond the reach of helpless, powerless regulators. Is it thus "good news?" As in all things, depends on point of view!
Chiron, do u have a link (10K, other?) providing documentation of all the recent dilution you have mentioned several times? Would like to see it if you can direct me to it. Thanks.
Right. Gotcha. That sucks!
Jeff, forgive me if you have already explained this but how is it that your broker "forced" you to sell shares? How can a broker do this (unless a margin acct is in the negative, of course.)?
yes
I certainly don't know what to make of it, nor is it likely anyone else does, but on days when news is released - like today and the last three occasions - the pps suffers and reacts poorly to the news. Rarely have I seen anything like it (except with p&d's). Please, no more news???
Isn't the company required by law to disclose dilution? In which case dilution should be capable of confirmation or denial?
Can you confirm the dilution you speak of? Provide a link? Many thanks in advance for doing so.
Yes, the writing was on the wall and was why, after two yrs of owning stock ruled by corruption, greed, and BS, I finally got out when it was trading in the 13's a couple of months ago.
Trading is extremely odd, indeed!! Never seen ANYthing like it before (although similiar, in some respects, to p&d's)
There are sellers as evidenced by the 'above average' volume. How could this be construed otherwise?
How does the TSX.V "games" activity explain the parallel activity on the Nasdaq? Similarly, there's not a TSX.V "games" to blame on the disastrous pps drop, and now quagmire, of XXII. The explanation may not be as simple as you present it?
CTO behind us? Is it? Since when?
"The guy in the chair" is corrupt, greedy, and lacks a basic, fundamental concern for shareholders. Ignorant shareholders hope/believe that he can or will change. But, psychologically and statistically we know this is an extremely remote possibility. Safest and best option for shareholders is to get out, IMHO. GLTY.
WTF? Great news flowing, pps going south?
Yes, totally expected and why, after two and a half yrs of holding this poorly managed pos in the red, I finally got out when I was in the green (10%) a couple of months ago. Sold for 13.10. You think it's low now? Wait 'til the SEC investigative news hits! So glad I'm out!!
GLTY
last traded: 1:03pm. Don't know what's up. Doesn't appear to be halted.
Good question. Will need to look into it.
Deja Vu!
hmmm, surprised, market doesn't like the news??
Cobra, my bad... meant to say overbought not oversold. Sorry to the board for any confusion.
Cobra, looking at several RSI indicators (e.g., 5 day, 10 day, etc.), what are your thoughts about whether this is oversold at present?
Nothing will be released Monday. It is a holiday (thanksgiving).
JFB, you wrote, "all the paperwork required to lift the CTO has been submitted and reviewed with the exception of the audited quarterly financial statements." I ask you respectfully, how do you know this is true? Where's your proof? And if,in fact, you have proof please post it. It would ease my mind. If you don't have it, please cease being a parrot for GCEI's unsubstantiated talking points.
JFB, I appreciate your reply but I no longer share your GCEI faith and optimism. I hope one day I can rejoin you.
I think everyone who, like Arb&Cap, got in the game as a later subscriber, and have suffered losses - whether on paper or otherwise - can empathize with him while perhaps not agreeing with his every comment. I think empathy here is more difficult for those who were fortunate enough to have subscribed early on when both stocks were just taking off. Most, if not all of these folks, despite the pps nose dives of both stocks, are still sitting pretty.
I don't think anyone can argue that early HTFBS subscribers have benefited to a much greater degree than the later subscribers who paid the same subscription fee. From this point of view, it can appear unfair. That's different than saying it is unfair. Just MHO.
"CTO...almost finished." Hmmm, where have I heard that before? Another vague declaration without anything substantive to back it up. Speaking of tire deal, how about tiresome?
Is no one on this board concerned that, closing in on 6 mths now, GCEI's inability to resolve the CTO in Canada portends bigger, graver, hidden issues?
Of course, it's bad enough that the pps will not move substantially until this gets resolved but one has to ask oneself: WTF is going on that it's taking almost 6 mths to resolve? Or perhaps the more ominous reality might be that it is unresolveable and so will just drag on indefinitely without management disclosing this reality and being up front with shareholders, thereby taking them down with the sinking GCEI ship?
From no point of view can one argue that this looks good!
Significant increase in short position this month:

hydro, you were saying???
Probably not news to most here and probably not a surprise, but as of this morning, the CTO remains in effect!!
mayvid: who's bashing?
