I don’t use ML. I am required to keep my shares with my employer. I hope they don’t institute this policy as I would be forced to dump as I can’t afford to have insolvent securities.
Merrill Lynch is no longer allowing people to buy penny stocks and Is actually forcing the sale of them within a certain time frame. What will happen if we can’t sell them in the future? Then the only hope is that we exit penny land and/or future reverse split.
It’s bullshit as it’s a form of market manipulation. Some of the selling may actually be unwanted, forced selling!
What I want to know is..
From the US operations numbers he was quoting in history report.... does Lugee Li have any other US operation other than Liquidmetal? If he doesn’t, who cares if it’s amorphous or not.... it’s still Liquidmetal as a company producing those revenues. (If he’s right)
Cima,
You must be joking!!
They would never disclose that! They would test it on a non-critical component that ships in volume that requires precision in order to prove viability in manufacturing at volume. They would never disclose to their competitors what they are doing.
Furthermore, it they can color match with non-amorphous parts, they could begin manufacturing parts that are non-precision (less expensive) and couple them with precision parts (more expensive) and create devices with higher margins while they allow the price of alloy procurement to drop.
Does anybody think the Digital Crown on the Apple Watch could physically be made out of Liquidmetal? They emphasized it is a “precision” part in the keynote yesterday.
Could a part with this tolerance be made with Liquidmetal as a material alloy?
This patent is actually a big deal. I haven’t posted in a while but this patent is intriguing
Thank god Lugee controls this now.
Trump is reportedly planning major new restrictions against China
This may be the best reason to buy
Ive also said the company has learned from some of the Watch's forays into new materials like gold and ceramic, offering a rare hint into Apple's thinking for future product designs.
"[W]orking in gold and ceramic was purposeful – not only to expand who Apple is, but also from a materials science perspective," Ive said. "Our material sciences team now understands these fundamental attributes and properties in a way they didn't before. This will help shape future products and our understanding of what forms make sense."

AN Apple announcement would send it to over a dollar based on extrapolated volume
Make eggs Benedict as well with Hollandaise sauce
Any metal ian liquid at a high temperature. They made the heat sink from a liquid metal. They melted metal and made a heat sink. It’s simple.
Nowhere does the article state that it is made from either amorphous metallic alloys, is made from a random molecular structure or from Liquidmetal.
I ant this to explode as much as or more than almost all of youbdue to my significant position. If it hits $0.50/share I will be VERY conflicted because I will want to get out. The risk to me is I lose it all or I get out way too early. If it hits $0.50 and I sell and it goes up to $2.00 within two years, I will miss out on $1.5 million in gains but will get out with a legitimately huge return.
Let’s just stick to the facts. Otherwise, we’re just spreading misinformation.
YOU would think.... well that’s great.
Any metal that a liquid is liquid metal. Amorphous alloys are Liquidmetal. They are two different things entirely.
Why don’t you read the article as it wasn’t written and take the wool off your eyes.
Here’s is how I see it.
If the dentist can use liquidmetal tools and they are more sterile or less dirty than traditional tools due to thebfacr they are amorphous, that is a benefit. If implant screws hold better, that is a benefit. If at some point, these types of minor advances are proven to be better and possibly faster to manufacture, then it’s a win.
If there is a way to make liquidmetal teeth in a mold that are “white” or the color of ceramic, we would have a binaries winner as the time savings and maintenance would be exponential. They would also have a much lower failure rate.
That is the philosophy on how you get a doctor.
Liquidmetal coatings is an industrial equipment supplier located in Houston
GORGOL,
I am holding almost a million shares so I am tripping!
This is not a game! We need a little transparency here..
THis could be VERY BAD.
Yea but what does it mean? It could be really bad news if they privatize us, right?
I’m a little lost here... what is big? What are you guys referencing?
HOW much does one ton of zirconium cost?
Little lower = little productions capacity.
More power = more production capacity.
Hopefully this is a tipping point
These orders are fine but what matters most is our pipeline. Once we get our energy upgraded, how many orders follow
I’m in California and i don’t believe in paying off houses. I will pay it off in 30 years and then I will refinance it and strip the equity out to reinvest in additional real estate
I started buying about 6 years ago. Average cost basis is around $.12
I had to sell some last year to buy a house but I still have a million shares.
I am never buying again and just going to continue my wait and see approach. I will eventually sell. Who knows when but hopefully after we are re-listed on NASDAQ.
How much can one safely assume each “production” order is worth at a minimum?
Jolly,
What am I missing here?
WE HAVE ALL BEEN stating this for years. Let’s wait ain’t until when have at least 10 new products in circulation. Then we will know the time has come!
THE ISOLite 3 system retails for $1,895 each.
I wonder how many they are going to manufacture or how many they can sell?
apple Ian scared of no one. That said, they must find a way to increase their margins on iPhone if they plan on selling them for $1,000. THAT was made clear during the most recent earnings
Hauck couldn’t sell ice in the desert. He is knowledable but he can’t sell. We need people who can sell to decision makers.
HOPEFUKly soon they ad LMIM (LiquidMetal Injection Molding)
The industries we are targeting (medical) take time to get into. You can’t just enter the market. Also, we have a Chinese company basically funding a foot print. He also has medical device companies, right?
We need to be operational. Steipp was an ass and crook in paying himself so handsomely and accomplishing nothing
We must all cut our losses someday and I know the risk is not worth the reward. The risk losing certainty. I will exit soon.
Hello Al,
Our team produced some amorphous metal tuning forks for acoustic testing purposes recently. I wanted to share the results of some acoustic tests we ran them through with you.
To summarize: compared to stainless steel tuning forks, the amorphous tuning forks showed relatively more efficient energy transmission, and similar amplitude and sustain.
This occurs due to the unique atomic structure of the material, which offers many other intriguing properties as well. Primarily, precision comparable to CNC-machining, and a combination of physical properties that would be difficult, if not impossible, to achieve with crystalline materials - all as-molded.
If you're looking for a new sound, interested in the next generation of materials that can impact acoustic applications, or maybe you just want improved durability, this technology may benefit your component.
To start, I encourage you to download the summary via the link below. If you have any questions or an application you are curious about, please reply to this email and we will do everything we can to make your product a success.
Sincerely,
Paul Hauck
EVP - Sales and Marketing
Did anyone get an email today from paul hauck regarding tuning forks
All that’s matters now is:
What can Liquidmetal do better than Glassimetal?
What are our strategic advantages?
This is what happened.
Gorgol,
I remember when Cramer said that. He referred to it as a “Bear Raid”.
Look it up on YouTube
I have not seen any new rumors regarding Apple buying us out.
