Why do you say it will not open for a long time?
in MSSN
Wow, 91% success rate, seems like heaven to me.
Yeah, I completely agree, Freetrade has pretty bad fills, especially on OTC BB stocks. It's amazing how long it takes to fill on stocks like MRKL and USHG trading over $10 million volume and you only wanting like $3000. But I guess you get what you pay for. Can anyone recommend a good direct access broker?
I was wondering I have this account with freetrade and and I got a daytrading buying power call which I don't quite understand. I sold a stock short while I had another long position(MOBL) that I bought earlier in the day(with cash). At the end of the day, I sold MOBL but still kept that stock short and didn't cover till the next day. I know freetrade lets you trade your cash throughout the whole day even if you are under $25K, so why would I get a daytrading buying power call when I didn't daytrade my short position and just traded my cash?
Also I have to comment that not everyone should play these penny stocks. In my opinion, higher-priced stocks with volality such as MAMA, IPIX, ESMC, MAGS are just as good and especially can give good returns with margin. Not to mention that you don't have to worry very much about getting filled or wide spreads.
I have freetrade but I was thinking, the fills could be better and I'm sure direct access will save you money, even though the commissions are more expensive. For example, you may get filled 5000 shares of a stock at .50 with freetrade, that is $2500, but possibly with direct access you may be able to get 5000 shares at .49, which $2450, a difference of $50 which more than covers the costs in commissions. Has anyond had experience with direct access and noticed the difference in getting filled with these penny stocks?
Where does it say 1:10 margin intraday?
What is the best broker for available short shares? I heard Cybertrader is pretty good, but possibly others?
Freetrade is decent, but the commissions are not as slow as it seems, because the fills aren't so great. You wat the best fills, go direct access. Of course, still cheaper than Ameritrade/Etrade/Scottrade.
I was wondering, VISG is up 3% in afterhours, probably because the security sector is hot(with MAGS leading the way), do you think it would be wise to cover although the stock has skyrocketed in the past month?
Yeah, did great with these poppers, had a 45% gain on my portfolio this week, would be happy if I had even half of that consistently.
Wow, didnt realize USHG closed above 7. What an amazing stock, was just .75 a little over a month ago. You have a short-term price target?
I've had an even wilder ride. I lost 20% of my portfolio last week, gained all of it back Monday, gained 13% Tuesday, and lost almost all of that 13% today(these mostly playing higher-priced stocks). I need to be more consistent.
MAGS looks like a decent popper?
Yes, both these stocks were OTC BB stocks where I was selling below the bid and these are the stocks where it's most important to get out fast. For higher-priced stocks I don't care as much, as I don't usually lose hundreds. But even then if you have a large position, you still could lose hundreds in slippage.
I have had Freetrade for about 3 months but I'm really thinking about switching to direct access. Sure Freetrade may have low commissions but the fills are just getting worse. I tried to sell a stock at 1.70 but wouldn't fill until 1.51. Tried to sell a stock at .025 but wouldn't fill till .021. Direct access might cost a few bucks more in commission but at least you're not losing hundreds of dollars in slippage. Anyone else switch from web-based to direct-access and can comment on their improvements in execution?
I was wondering, might be tough to answer, but what system do you think gives better returns?
anyone ever tried currency trading?
anyone ever tried currency trading and their opinions on it?
Just wondering...did you look up the data and calculate the percentages for each stock in your major_popper system as opposed to having an automated system doing it?
What's up with ANCC?
Is anyone else having problems shorting SNTO with freetrade or ameritrade?
I'm thinking about switching to a direct access broker from freetrade because the fills from freetrade aren't so good. Can anyone who has left freetrade/ameritrade and went to a direct access broker comment how much better the fills are?
I thought this was a no OTC BB stock board?
Seems like a good time to short, although this is a penny stock board. Shorted my first stock today, FDRY, working pretty well, gonna cover tomorrow.
Anyone think the market has at least a 5-10% more correction to go?
Can anyone recommend how/where to recognize intraday patterns?
A low float can be good or bad. A low float stock means it is likely to be more volatile because there are not as many shares available to be traded. This is why TASR, IDSA, etc. went up so high so fast. Of course, it is a double-edged sword, as stocks can go down just as quickly(e.g. MAMA, IDSA).
What does everyone think VAPH will do on Monday due to their 3 for 1 stock split? I think it will pop up, as low float stocks with stock splits always seem to go up.
Has anyone tried RealTick, if so, how good is it compared to esignal?
Actually, that would be interesting but where can you scan for the float?
Can anyone recommend me a good service that shows real-time information on stocks that are breaking out? I know of esignal, but that seems a bit expensive.
Yeah I guess, but don't really like the little volume--only trades a few thousand a day.
So I'm assuming it is all right to trade my whole account back and forth throughout the day as long as I am not on margin with a stock?
I was wondering whether anyone knew a place to get historical intraday quotes and charting(e.g. intraday chart of IBZT on December 24)?
I have some of that stock but don't really know how much further it can go. It's already tripled in a half a month! What other stocks have done that?
How long did you usually hold the stocks when you went from $500 to $4500 for you can't daytrade with that little?
What do you think OVTI will hit tomorrow?
