I would say "everyone with a counting ability" since it all comes down to how many shares have been issued and whom they are issued to. So for now just assumptions that he has started dilution again and if it really is proven so in the next Q report that is a good question for the CC if anyone dares to ask it. I doubt that he would jeopardize the whole OSE by doing that now when FD is on board.
About the stop of dilution I read about from last year's ECAB announcement are there any evidence that this has happened or just assumption to explain the recent downturn?
Thanks for the advice RD, but I think you are way wrong and a bit too paranoid here.
I did spend some money on Jim Roger's books. I love them. As I recall I first got to know him through mr Sandrberg head of the Jordanfund, the same Sandberg who is in SIAF. So I guess Roger's isn't so bad.
But of course everybody who works on Wall Street makes money don't they? And everybody who has "bought" their education or born with silverspoons get filthy rich without doing a sh*t. Just sitting there letting the money grow, it is o easy.
From the book Market Wizards by Jack D. Schwager the part about Rogers starts like this:
"Jim Rogers began trading the stock market with a paltry $600 dollars in 1968".
In 1970, Rogers joined investment bank Arnhold and S. Bleichroder, where he worked with George Soros. In 1973, Soros and Rogers both left and founded the Quantum Fund. During the following 10 years, the portfolio gained 4200% while the S&P advanced about 47%.[5] The Quantum Fund was one of the first truly international funds.
In 1980, Rogers decided to "retire", and spent some of his time traveling on a motorcycle around the world. Since then, he has been a guest professor of finance at the Columbia Business School.[6]
He is quite an interesting type. And no clown.
Just my 2 cents...

So this man is a clown just because he didn't invest in SIAF?
That's funny. Note the title and the year of the article.
Good day today for us. So who will reinvest their dividend in new SIAF shares?
Cheers.
All these years of losing hair over SIAF is finally starting to pay off! What a lovely friday!
This journey just begun and it is going to be a fantastic trip. Well we all know that the preparation did take long time but now finally the rocket is about to lift and take us to another planet filled with quality beef and prawns.
Thanks Sly for always looking positive on things, that helped me alot so far.
Cheers
Well.said Carog. Positive mindset on the board is back. We look ahead and not in the past. We are in this together and Solly has agreed to.play on our.side now in stead of running around behind the scenes flapping his arms screaming "dilution dilution I love you goddess of dilution". I think he has started to realize that he can't go on doing everything by himself. And if we are lucky he might.even.start.to understand how.the.stockmarket works.
I find the lack of faith in Solomon a bit disturbing. He is determined and strict about the.plans for.his baby. He is a builder an entrepreneur a man with.a.vision. I did meet him in Stockholm and I really.recommend all of you to do that. He is.full of.energy and he loves his.company so what is all these ideas about him selling his creation coming from?
Solomon's baby (could be a good movie title) reminds me of a quote from Muhammed Ali
"Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them – a desire, a dream, a vision."
2015 will be fantastic for all of us. I.also would like to thank you all for posting here
you guys and girls have helped me keep my shares and load up at 5 times since 2010. But now things will go faster. We all have nerves of steel.
Cheers
So fun reading this board somtimes. Today I read the board's comments before I read the PR. Why all negativity? The release was good. Before ECAB this would never had happened. I waited since 2010 I can wait 4 more years. Why are you so eager to let the shareprice explode? Let it increase slowly keeping the shorts away. I am happy to read that some of the insults are gone. I am thinking of savage, idiot etc. Childish comments. But still hilarious to see some here still thinks the best way to communicate to the company is through an investor hub board.
"I hope that ECAB is getting message. If not, I'm going to bust them up some more"
That is so funny. Talking the talk but can't walk the walk.
Merry Xmas all positive minds!
I said 5800 Swedes, outside the venue, to Solomon.
But I was wrong. I checked the number from the last annual report it said 5008. And that is total. I got them mixed up. Sorry. Read it on here and I had to clarify that.
Quoting from 11th April 10-K
"Holders
As of April 7, 2013, an aggregate of 153,692,043 shares of our common stock were issued and outstanding and were owned by approximately 5,008
stockholders of record"
I couldn't find any number in the Q3.
Cheers
ps so yes I did a double mistake viking86.
Financing of MF
I got the feeling he seeemed very optimistic about the 60MUSD financing for the mega farm. When farm is up running (parts of it) producing 2000MT of prawn he said there will be no problem with financing. I find that a bit too over optimistic when thinking of the success of financing other projects so far. On the other hand one can interpret that as that there is something going on in that area. He was smiling alot though.
Did he really say they needed 80 000 workers for the mega farm? Or did I hear it wrong?
About listing I got the impression was to forget about USA and full speed ahead for a swedish listing. It felt like, from the way he said it, that it could happen any day. Maybe I overinterpret it since I want it to happen or maybe I was hypnotized by the big smile he finished alot of sentences with.
I also go the number 300 000 heads of cattle but the MF is also 300 000 so maybe they were mixed up in his head.
So I thought we already produced high quality beef...but apparently not.
And importing sheep from madagascar. That was interesting. Norway wasnt mentioned at all.
Besides that I think the summaries written so far tonight were excellent.
Easy...Joe won the lottery in 2009 and then tried the stockmarket in 2010....
2009= 2880%? how did you go from that to -12% in 2011
What a night! First Zlatan scored his 50th goal and now this. 4 years of pain is finally over. Happy I increased my position for the 4th time 1 week ago :)
Thank you board-posters for helping me find strength not to sell my position and keep strong through all hard times!
In Sweden if you bet 10 kronor on 7-1 to Germany it would have payed 30560 kronor.....I wonder if I get better return if I put down money on the fact that Yappie is going to buy any shares this year? Naah. I don't want to lose my money...
Really..is that what you think? So no one else but dumpers sold today? No one sold because they are tired of dilution and of "summertime blues" I will stop arguing with you now since I see no point of trying to make myself heard. You are a true hero RD....
Just my opinion....no need to use bad words..Bonebreaker I just think that putting your name under something your write on a board, well aren't people allowed to question that?
Well I will share you my opinion BUT your can't question what I think.... hmmm
Do you feel you got through to S? Do you feel that you got the answers you wanted?
"hence my warnings"
Who do you warn RD? Do you think dumpage will stop since you write warnings on IHUB? Really? The only thing that might happen but is a long shot is that someone who planning to buy shares doesn't buy shares and the share price falls further and S has to issue even more shares.
Is the reason you write that Solly will finally read this and say "well, the RD guys is correct let's stop this madness and just sign a big bank loan"
I understand you feel like that. But I do not agree that you post "warnings" of something you assume works in a special way. In the long run though, I doubt that your "efforts" will have any impact at all.
Yes there is dumnpage and I am surprised that no one is adressing Solomon and really questioning him about it? On the board everyone hates the delution but on the conference call well no one questions it.... weird in my opinion...
No blaming anybody for anything but I do think that repeatedly posting that mr S is an idiot on this board isn't helping anybody.
I've said it before I do think Solomon has better things to do than to sit around reading the board. We all been around for many years and I have read millions of times what you think about the company, but it doesn't add up in the right way.
You are talking lawsuits etc. Even talked about halping JoeN with material. What is that all about?
You question S all the time? but you still will not call and ask questions when you are allowed to do in a public forum like the Earnings call?
Does Solomon scare you? is that why you are hiding behind alot of fancy words?
Do you want someone here to applaud you for behind right about Solomon? Can't expect to be right in the long run can you? Because if you are right that means that you will lose all your money? So what is really the point? Do you want people to tell the story like this "thanks to RD who warned me on a board for a reckless management I didn't buy any shares in SIAF today"
You are mixing brilliant analysis and knowledge about the company with stupid and childish remarks about the company, especially S.
I've been around for 4 years now in SIAF, but I do not want Solomon to lose all his money because then I will too....
But aren't you the one who keep telling the board that there is something wrong with the company? Because of dilution, Solomon etc..are you really 100% it is dumpage going on? today? .
Wnot just someone who is tired of owning shares in SIAF when they overpromise all the time. And decided to sell? Maybe this is news for you but there are actually owners out the who don't like holding shares for years that do not move at all or decreases every month.
"people don't know what is going on then they will assume something is wrong with the company"
What do you really want RD? Sometimes it feels like you want the company to go bankrupt. Why do you spend hours and hours on this board if all you do is wishing that Solomon go bankrupt. Isn't that not just a waste of time?
What is the point?
"WARNING for unwary investors
We have massive dumping of financing shares.
INTL is the dumper now. Nice move, Solomon. "
LOL
mpty--The question period was shorter than usual because S was trying to be sensitive to George, for whom it was 5 am. "Dan" took most of the questioning time allotted. That's not Solomon's fault. He wasn't avoiding anything at all.
Hey !
I just wonder. Why try to contact the IR of SIAF through a message board? Why not email him directly?
Why not CFO?
Well most of you have been around for a long long time in SIAF. What is it you do not understand about Solly?
1. It is HIS shareholders
2. It is HIS company.
3. He runs the show
4. He has 81,89% of the votes behind him.
And he tells the market what he thinks all the time without carying about the consequences. He has HIS 5 year old plan, no need to change. What will happen after 5 years? Another plan?
Everybody sits arounbd trying to figure things out. When someone does, mostly TRADERFAN points out the obvious you blame him or jump on him when really the only one that can answer your questions or prayers is Solly himself and that is at the conference call. So how can you own thousands of thousands of shares and not wanting to ask Solly some serious questions?
I just do not get it? I can't figurre it out. Why sit around all day complaining and discussing about what you THINK is going to happen when you actually can find out by just asking him in the CC. If he doesn't answer in a correct way, ask the question again until he gets it. How can it be so hard. Why is everybody so afraid of the man himself???
In in what way does this matter?
HB, how many shares do you think your group controls as of this date?
Don't you think that one of the main reasons that we can't get financing is that Solly is holding on to +80% of the voting power?
How many other companies do you know like that?
No chance we will ever go to HK with a share structure like that.¨
Alibaba in talks with HKEx on ownership structure ahead of IPO-sources
Aug 19 (Reuters) - Alibaba Group Holding Ltd is in talks with the Hong Kong stock exchange about allowing its founders to maintain control over the Chinese e-commerce company even after it becomes listed, people familiar with the matter told Reuters.
Alibaba is widely expected to launch an initial public offering worth more than $15 billion by the end of the year, with Hong Kong tipped as the likely venue.
The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd, however, generally disapproves of dual class listings, which favour a company's founders and management over its individual investors.
I am surprised that people who goes to meetings where S does his presantations isn't a bit more stubborn when asking questions. I read the transcripts from the Stockholm meeting. So why not just push him to answer the questions that you want in stead of discussing it over the board?
How many other companies do you know like that?
Or maybe S decided to read the board for the first time ever and didn't like that he has been called "Solly" lately and decided to revenge-dilute us like crazy!
Anyway, I am surprised about how much money he has to pay workers to build, what is the average salary for worker in China? What is the cost of building materials? I thought chinese construction workers were fast. The build a 1000 feet building in a few months but for SIAF, well not so fast. Why?
I wonder if someone will ask a question about how low the share price must go before he stops diluting? 10 cents?
Wasn't it really good of him to sign Nisse to the board so Nisse can't talk publicly about the company anymore? And Nisse bought 100 000 shares, well and now everyone is waiting for him to buy more. Why ? He laready owns like 4 million shares. Does that help the share price? Nahhh...
Worst nightmare ever would be to sign Yappily Yap to the CFO post...... please stop suggesting it...
"You guys... should be all over Solomon Lee, as I have been, if you haven't already.
"
Really? In what way except sometimes posting threats about law suits here on the forum ?
This may come as surprise for you RD , but I do not think Solomon reads the forum ...
I sure hope that this will not happen again. From the 2012 dec 10 Sedar filing:
"
At present, the board of directors has no plans to issue the additional shares of Common Stock authorized by the Amendment. However, it is possible that some of these additional shares could be used in the future for various other purposes without further stockholder approval, except as such approval may be required in particular cases by our charter documents, applicable law or the rules of any stock exchange or other quotation system on which our securities may then be listed. These purposes may include: raising capital, providing equity incentives to employees, officers or directors, establishing strategic relationships with other companies, and expanding our business or product lines through the acquisition of other businesses or products."
No plans? So they stopped dilution last year for a while?
"we do need to keep the pressure on Solomon but in a respectful way"
Really? Why?
How will you do that? On every CC and presentation so far people been nice... so where would we be if we had questioned Solomon from the beginning. He is responsible for this. And I do not think he reads this forum at all, so how are we actually pressuring him?
He obviously doesn't care about the shareholders. And about the extraordinary dividend? Where will those funds come from?
There has been too many hopes and wishes lately ....
Hey all,
Anyone here who is going to the presentations next week in Sweden who is planning to ask Solly some serious questions about the future? Or are you just going to sit around like a bunch of kids seeing their idol on TV and applauding every move he makes since he is such a brilliant man?
If any of you plans to call in tomorrow, just remember that asking 5 questions before Solly even answer one will just give you an answer to the last one.
I like to ask if he can give me a reason to buy the share as an investor right now given the performance of the share the last years. Why would I buy the share now?
I am not looking for an answer like "because it is going to go up"
And well I just enjoy reading the board here every day, somethings changed lately. Almost everytime we have a CC someone points out "be nice to Solomon" . This has not happend yet.
By the way how many of you guys have a poster of Solomon over your bed?
Solly and Yappy. I like that :)
I know, that is what I wrote. So the extra 3.6 added up to over 100 mil which is 1.6 too much right? So when they tell us that they have no plans to use more shares over 100 mil. Are they lying or did the batteries run out in their calculator?
From the security definitions in the SEC files.
"Series B Preferred Stock
The Series B Preferred Stock ranks senior to any of the shares of Common Stock and any other class or series of stock of our company which by its terms shall rank junior to the Series B Preferred Stock. The Series B Preferred Stock pays no dividend. Each holder of Series B Preferred Stock shall have the right, at such holder’s option, at any time or from time to time, to convert each share of Series B Stock into one (1) fully-paid and non-assessable share of Common Stock. The Series B Preferred Stock shall carry no voting power, subject to certain limited exceptions and as provided by the Nevada Revised Statutes."
Doesn't really matter what stocks he will retire does it? Unless he forgot what he told us in the last call...
so the share count on the 5th was 98 mil and then on the 21st they signed an authorization for increasing the O/S to 130 mil from 100 mil. But on the same day they added another 3.6 mil shares which ads up to 101.6 mil shares. I get that.
But what I do not get is why they said this in the file from the 21st of december
"At present, the board of directors has no plans to issue the additional shares of Common Stock authorized by the Amendment. However, it is possible that some of these additional shares could be used in the future for various other purposes without further stockholder approval, except as such approval may be required in particular cases by our charter documents, applicable law or the rules of any stock exchange or other quotation system on which our securities may then be listed. These purposes may include: raising capital, providing equity incentives to employees, officers or directors, establishing strategic relationships with other companies, and expanding our business or product lines through the acquisition of other businesses or products.
Or maybe I got it all wrong ? I am sure someone will point it out to me :)
Maui.. I see Chad is on the board today, I hope you emailed Chad what you wrote to him. Good work by the way.
you wrote ...
"Problem are that they aint allowed to communicate at all with the market prior to the listing at FN once application are sent."
Really? who said that? Have you asked chad about taht or are you just guessing, trying to talk us into another excuse why they are not releasing the pr. The reason stated in the conference call is that no need for pr unless it is required from SEC.
Andrew I envy you courage to step back... have a good weekend, thanks for many good posts and that you still have that critical but still very good analytical view of looking at things.
If siaf have 500 employees where were they when the investor tour was there?
And when they too the photos. Anybody looked ath the facebook page lately, why aren't there any new photos?
So with swedes sitting on +60 million shares isn't it a bit naive to think that all just keep their shares and would not selll them when the share is down. How many swedes are on plus? Normally you talk about cutting losses but not in siafs case. Now hope is kicking in and after that desperation. And on top of that we have a ceo that just dont care. Great. Siaf the ultimate holding company. Where is the release about the 6 million retired shares? Do you think S will buy out his fully financed company when it touches 10 c
ents?
