Well it’s going to be feast or famine tomorrow for Coretec investors! I’m not holding my breath! GLTA
Since there’s no PR by Coretec this week, I’m going to take it as a positive sign……
I guess Coretec is going to wait until the last minute to notify Investors of any delay. What could hold up the merger. Coretec had no revenue………

I agree with you on Trump. He’s a very successful businessman! Trump knows all the facts & stats on green energy. What works & doesn’t work. Such as battery semi diesel trucks aren’t feasible currently. The problem is that the truck has to make frequent stops to recharge the batteries. Whereas the truck doesn’t have to on a tank of diesel. Plus another problem is the weight of the batteries. They’re very heavy affecting the payload. Which the Endurion should be able to solve hopefully……
Amen Gunny!….

Gary,
Don’t get me wrong, I think that EV’s are great. But there are many concerns including cost, electric grid, minerals, cold weather, infrastructure ,etc. until new technologies are available such as Silicon batteries, etc, these problems will remain……
One out of every three EV chargers don’t work! Biden has spent millions on these Ev chargers! Drivers stress over ev charger locations. For these ev chargers are few & far apart. Putting mandates on EV’s is wrong period! Who can afford these EV’s? Citizens will have a choice of electric or gas under Trump administration. He will also give tax cuts for businesses. They’ll in turn will expand their businesses . I see EV’s flourishing with Trump.
Trump has to win the election first! Which I hope he wins. This nation can’t survive another 4 years of inflation, high taxes, immigration invasion, & crime! ……
I would think Core Optics would want to up list to the Nasdaq asap. No one knows about this little company & Endurion. In order to get those contracts, the world needs to know about this silicon battery anode. I don’t see this happening in the otc market……
Quick Shift
I’m afraid that investors will be holding the bag again! Core Optics will do a massive R/S post merger. I just hope I have enough shares to survive another r/s. I know that the share count is diluted big time. But I expected a budge in the share price with the deadline coming up again. Yes I agree with you that there’ll be another delay. It wouldn’t surprise me with Coretec management.
I’m glad that the stock market made a record high today! But disappointed that Coretec is still down below 2cents. Why hasn’t the share price increased with the closing of merger immenant in 2 weeks?……

Do you know if Coretec battery lab testing Endurion anode manually or by semi/auto equipment? I read in an article that many errors can occur in pouch testing. Also read that it can be 5 years before a battery is certified and on the market. I pray that’s not the case for Coretec and investors…….
WHAT TO EXPECT FOR BATTERY DEVELOPMENT TIMELINES

Customers requiring batteries for their products or applications have become savvier when it comes to the developmental phase of the battery packs. They understand that by having researched power requirements, dimensions of the pack compartment, battery chemistries, and cabling specifications, the customer can develop more comprehensive design documents. Then, the battery pack manufacturer can use these specifications to get started on the development and tooling stage immediately.
Figuring out the battery development timeline allows a customer to understand when they will have the battery pack completed for time-to-market. They will be able to adjust deadlines as well as consider required battery testing, tooling creation, battery enclosure creation, and programming of the fuel gauge’s integrated circuit, among other factors.
Learn How To Expedite Your Battery Pack Design & Development
About The Battery Development Process
The battery development process begins after the scope of the work has been determined. So, it is not the first step in the entire production process of the battery pack. Rather, the review of the battery pack application comes first as all the documents provided by the customer becomes reviewed by the battery development team. Then, both the customer and the team will discuss these details to figure out the specific requirements of the battery.
Our battery development timeline is a result of what is required on an average basis.
Our battery development timeline is a result of what is required on an average basis.
After this stage, the scope development and scope refinement commence to create the battery project’s first draft and to revise the specifications and proposals. The application, scope development, and scope refinement processes can take a total of 2 to 6 weeks depending on the complexity of the project.
After the battery’s work scope has been confirmed, then the battery development process can get underway. This process will involve a multitude of individual steps that include control circuitry design, Gerber data creation, the project’s bill of materials (BOM), the prototype’s material procurement, developing the prototype, having the prototype run on the printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), testing, and the prototype battery pack assembly. There may also be prototypes created that will need to be sent off to certifying organizations for testing based on the battery's chemistry (lithium-based).
Lead Times For Development Steps
Keep in mind that the complexity and materials used for the battery pack will play an important factor on the lead times for the pack’s development. If an application requires multiple battery packs that each have their own chemistries, each battery pack will have different lead times. Here are the typical lead times for certain elements for a battery pack.
Electronics for Lithium-Based Battery Packs
The electronics for the lithium-based battery pack will involve the battery management system (BMS), the integrated circuit (IC), and safety circuits. There may also be added electronics to turn the lithium battery into a smart battery pack. These added electronics may include the fuel gauge, the general-purpose input/output, embedded battery charger, system output power, and a wireless battery charger.
The amount of electronics specified and what will be added into the final design will impact the lead times for the battery’s development. The electrical design and testing timeline can take about 4 to 6 weeks, while the software/firmware design to program the electronics can take 4 to 5 weeks. Placing in additional electronics to create a smart battery pack may increase these timelines depending on what the customer decides to have in the battery pack.
If desiring a fuel gauge for the battery pack, an algorithm will be programmed into the IC to tell the customer about the state of charge (SoC) and the state of health (SoH) of the battery pack. There are three different algorithms that may be used: voltage lookup, Coulomb counting, and a combination voltage lookup/Coulomb counting. A learn function may also be programmed into the IC for the fuel gauge.
Developing and testing the fuel gauge may also increase the lead times depending on the number of functions programmed into the IC and when calibrating the IC. Calibrating a fuel gauge requires taking a fuel gauge that has already been properly configured and measuring the current, voltage and temperature. These measurements will be logged during periodic intervals.
Battery Enclosure 3D Data
One of the factors that takes an extraordinary amount of time is creating the battery enclosure for the product or application. There are many steps that are involved, including gathering the right materials and determining the size of the enclosure based on both the product as well as the battery pack. Tooling the battery enclosure using fused deposit modeling (FDM) can help to speed up the process to create conceptual and engineering models along with the enclosure prototype. However, for customers who have tight deadlines, 3D printing can shorten the amount of time to market.
The 3D printing method involves creating the prototype of the battery pack. This prototype helps the manufacturer verify its mechanical properties. Since the data will already be within the 3D print software, it can now be used to create the tooling procedures that will be used for the battery pack enclosure. The 3D printing modeling process can take anywhere from 5 to 10 days.
Injection Molding Tooling
Enclosures that will be inside products, outside of products with detachable covers, or made from plastic will be created using injection molded plastics. Injection molding is where several parts of the enclosure will be made from injecting molten thermoplastic into a mold and then cooled into shape before being taken out of the mold. Creating the tooling for injection molding can take anywhere from 8 to 10 weeks.
Regulatory Testing And Certifications
Regulatory testing and certifications timelines will always be dependent on the organization that will be performing the tests. One thing to keep in mind is that you may cause delays to your battery pack development if you send out 3D-printed enclosures with the battery packs instead of waiting for the injection molding tooling and plastic enclosures to be created. Organizations such as UL and IEC require the injection molded parts that will be used in production to be submitted with the battery packs in order to receive certification.
Depending on the regulatory and certifying organization, typical timelines are:
UN38.3 Transportation Certification: 6 to 8 weeks
UL Certification: 10 to 12 weeks
IEC Certification: 8 to 10 weeks
Battery Testing
Battery electronics are normally tested before assembly. The circuits will be tested by building a fixture as a power supply and electronic load will be configured to mimic the cell pack, load, and battery charger. Once all the circuits have been tested for any failures, the cells will then be installed into the battery pack. After the battery pack’s final assembly, a load test will be performed to ensure the pack is working as specified.
Inspection points that are performed during the battery testing include:
Weld validation
Diode polarity
Continuity test
Cell polarity
Battery string voltage load test
The timeline for battery testing will vary greatly depending on the complexity of the battery pack. Each battery prototype is bench tested before being submitted to the customer, who may perform their own product testing based on their requirements. For simple battery pack designs, there may be quick approval within several weeks. More complex batteries or comprehensive battery testing could take several months.
Summary
There are no set timelines when it comes to battery pack development. While the lead times discussed above are what have been typically noted for our manufacturing processes, these timelines can change based on numerous design factors. Speaking with our team at the very beginning of the project will allow us to understand the battery pack design and specifications. Then we can provide more precise timelines based on the project’s specifications.

Article on battery testing & certification requirements. Does anyone know if Coretec battery lab is testing manually or by semi/auto equipment? If manually, many errors can occur with the testing. From other articles I’ve read, it can be up to 5 years for a battery to get certifications & on market! I pray that isn’t the case for us…….

Sorry i misread the post…

I thought the pouch battery was to be at 500wh/kg. Amprius has a 500wh/kg. What gives with 350wh/kg for the pouch battery? I hope that the testing reveals beyond 500wh/kg. ……,
That’s a BIG IF that I pray for investors! As long as Core Optics doesn’t do a massive R/S on investors after closing of merger! …….

After the pouch battery testing is done, what other testing will be done on Endurion? I know auto companies will do their own testing. It’s disappointing that the share price will remain around 2cents . But I pray that Coretec obtains contracts after closing of merger…….
I hope that CEO Kim updates investors on the endurion battery testing after the merger closes. We need a timeline for commercialization of Endurion battery……..
Thanks guys for the info! I wish that Coretec’s share price was $13! In time hopefully……..

Endurion battery increases lithium battery capacity by what percentage compared to Group 14 battery anode? Both increase energy, charge quicker, & are drop in technology. Group 14 claims its increases energy of lithium battery capacity by 50%. Since Coretec has more silicon per molecule, Endurion should have a higher energy capacity. Right? Group 14 share price is currently at $13.64……..
une 14, 2024. Group14 Technologies, the US manufacturer of advanced silicon battery materials, announced the signing of five multi-year binding offtake agreements on June 4.
These amount to a minimum commitment of over $300 million with five unnamed manufacturers — three EV and two consumer electronic cell —across Europe, Asia and North America, according to the firm.
“The agreements will allow Group14’s customers to deliver the highest performance batteries in production today to a diverse array of industries. This reflects the high demand for Group14’s breakthrough silicon-carbon anode material, SCC55,” says the firm.
This, it says, delivers superior energy density, faster charging times, and greater overall efficiency compared to traditional graphite and silicon oxide-containing anodes.
Group14 CEO and co-founder Rick Luebbe says Group14’s full customer base has forecasted demand for SCC55 that is more than four times the company’s projected production capacity by 2027. As a result, Group14 is rapidly scaling its global manufacturing capabilities worldwide.
A second factory in Moses Lake, Washington, is planned to start production this year and should have an initial annual capacity of 4,000 tonnes of SCC55 or 20 GWh of silicon battery material.
The first manufacturing module from Group14’s joint venture with SK in South Korea is in the final stages of commissioning.
“With 30 GWh of production capacity ramping up in the next year, Group14 will be the world’s first EV-scale mass producer of advanced silicon materials,” says Luebbe.

Twa Flyer can be found on the brainchip stock ihub forum. It’s sad that TWA boasted that the stock would soar higher in dollar land. It did make it to over 1 dollar five years ago. But now it’s at .14 cents! I don’t know what happened nor where’s stock going now. I wish him the best.

You are very right! God will handle the details. I need to trust him & have faith! I believe that Coretec will succeed in commercializing Endurion battery anode!

So GTMS is a trading exchange overseas right? Is Coretec applying to it? Do u think the share price will move upward with the merger closing. I hope so! But I’m waiting for the long term also. Next year will be exciting with the expansion of the business into drones, auto’s, etc. Someone posted on stocktwits that hedges would try to keep the share price down. Thoughts? If the share price got up to .08cents for Coretec wuth no revenue, then surely it can get to .25cents or more! Am I dreaming at this point? This can’t be the end but the beginning of a very profitable journey….

Was this GTMS order a buy or sell order? What exactly is this company about? Sorry I’m a beginner investor…….

I’m glad that Coretec took the deal. But many investors were disappointed about the share price not going anywhere this year. I’m in it for the long run. But I was hoping for a little profit this year. But If Endurion is as spectacular with its data, this could turn around easily. CEO Kim needs to reveal battery data to investors. Hopefully the lab has completed all the battery testing. Coretec needs to get Endurion commercialized asap! For the competitors are advancing daily! I hope that CEO Kim has customers lined up to test out Endurion. Time is ticking……

Correction I meant to say share price of double dollar digits. I would expect the insiders would hold those series c shares until then. Again I would like to see the battery anode data. Are they still working on coin or pouch batteries ? Tomorrow hopefully we’ll have some news……
