How the Case for Voter Fraud Was Tested — and Utterly Failed.
From a new Supreme Court ruling to a census question about citizenship, the campaign against illegal registration is thriving. But when the top proponent was challenged in a Kansas courtroom to prove that such fraud is rampant, the claims went up in smoke.
by Jessica Huseman June 19,2018
"This view emerged in writing right after the trial — that’s when Robinson issued her ruling finding Kobach in contempt — but before the verdict. And the conduct that inspired the contempt finding had persisted over several years. Robinson concluded that Kobach had intentionally failed to follow a ruling she issued in 2016 that ordered him to restore the privileges of 17,000 suspended Kansas voters.
In her contempt ruling, the judge cited Kobach’s “history of noncompliance” with the order and characterized his explanations for not abiding by it as “nonsensical” and “disingenuous.” She wrote that she was “troubled” by Kobach’s “failure to take responsibility for violating this Court’s orders, and for failing to ensure compliance over an issue that he explicitly represented to the Court had been accomplished.” Robinson ordered Kobach to pay the ACLU’s legal fees for the contempt proceeding."

'Utterly Terrifying': Study Affirms Feedback Loop Fears as Surging Antarctica Ice Loss Tripled in Last Five Years
"The most robust study of the ice mass balance of Antarctica to date," scientists say, "now puts Antarctica in the frame as one of the largest contributors to sea-level rise."
by Jessica Corbett, staff writer
Scientists are expressing alarm over "utterly terrifying" new findings from NASA and the European Space Agency that Antarctica has lost about 3 trillion tons of ice since 1992, and in the past five years—as the atmospheric and ocean temperatures have continued to climb amid ongoing reliance on fossil fuels—ice losses have tripled.

For be it from me to state the obvious, but prior to ASFX going into chapter seven bankruptcy they had already undergone a series of splits. So they had the share structure right down to where they wanted it. Now they have embedded shareholders that have been with the stock for years, in addition to new shareholders that have come on board recently that are longs.
So, why throw all the commons to the trash barrel, when you really don't have to because they represent an asset to the company, and the stock.
Any prospective private company looking to merge into a clean shell will want to see at least four things.
No.1 Is the security debt free? Once emergence out of CH 7 BK here shortly, it will be debt free.
No.2 Does it have a relatively low share structure to enable a move in PPS up the tier, to qualify for for emergence out of pink sheet status? Yes it does, prior to filing for CH 7 the share structure was estimated to be under 200,000 shares.
No.3 Are all the filings up to date with a completed audit on file making it ready in all respects for a reverse merger?
That is one of the very first things we are going to look for the company to accomplish after the judge closes the case file, coming up here shortly we think sometime this month.
No.4 Does the security have any shareholders of record that are required for an application to an upper tier trading registration?
Yes it does.

In re Case No. 12-14640-JKO Chapter 7
American Scientific Resources, Inco
Debtor. ___________________________________/
"NOTICE OF DEPOSIT OF FUNDS WITH THE U.S. BANKRUPTCY COURT CLERK"
So basically the trustee is saying we tried to give them the money but they don't want it, so I'm giving it back to the court.
Notice is hereby given that:
( )
( )
The Trustee has a balance of ** remaining in bank account which represents unpresented checks drawn and mailed to creditors of the above named Debtor in accordance with the Order for Payment of Dividends.
"Your Trustee has made a good faith effort to verify the correct mailing address for said creditor(s) and deliver the funds before presenting this notice. More than sufficient time has passed for these checks to be presented for payment;"
So the Trustee is saying look man I tried to find these characters to shift them some cash, but they split town with no forwarding address dude! What do you want me to do? It's like they fell off the edge into the abyss. Look man I'm outahere, I'm tired of this crap. Just tell the man we tried to do the paperwork so I can go play some golf and drink a beer, I'm totally over it dude.
So, I guess we know just why it was taking so long, the Trustee was looking far and wide to track down the creditors to slip them some cash that apparently they are not willing to take...lolol
or The Trustee has a balance of ** remaining in bank account which represents small dividends as defined by F.R.B.P. 3010.
Attached and made a part of this notice is a list, pursuant to F.R.B.P. 3011, of the names, claim numbers and addresses of the creditors and the amounts to which they are entitled.
"WHEREFORE, your Trustee hereby gives notice that the above stated sum has been deposited with the Clerk of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Florida, to effect closing of this estate."
So, the Trustee is stating that he tried to complete his job to the best of his ability, and came up short. Here is the leftover ASFX money returned back to the court, let's close up shop your highness, I'm really burned out on this case. It's been over five years man, these files are all covered in dust, let's pack it up boys, the fat lady is singing!!! Or words to that effect..lolol

‘Impossible to Ignore’: Why Alaska Is Crafting a Plan to Fight Climate Change
WASHINGTON — In the Trump era, it has mainly been blue states that have taken the lead on climate change policy, with liberal strongholds like California and New York setting ambitious goals for cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
Now, at least one deep-red state could soon join them: Alaska, a major oil and gas producer, is crafting its own plan to address climate change. Ideas under discussion include cuts in state emissions by 2025 and a tax on companies that emit carbon dioxide.
While many conservative-leaning states have resisted aggressive climate policies, Alaska is already seeing the dramatic effects of global warming firsthand, making the issue difficult for local politicians to avoid. The solid permafrost that sits beneath many roads, buildings and pipelines is starting to thaw, destabilizing the infrastructure above. At least 31 coastal towns and cities may need to relocate, at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars, as protective sea ice vanishes and fierce waves erode Alaska’s shores.

Bee crisis: EU court backs near-total neonicotinoids ban
The EU's top court has backed an almost complete EU-wide ban on the use of three insecticides, which studies have linked to declining bee populations.
Chemicals giants Bayer and Syngenta had gone to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) hoping to get the restrictions on neonicotinoids overturned.
Last month EU governments agreed to ban all use of three neonicotinoids outdoors. Seeds treated with them can still be used in greenhouses.
Many honeybee colonies have collapsed.
Scientific studies have found that the chemicals can disorientate bees, harming their ability to pollinate and return to hives.
Some other factors - notably mites and fungus - have also been blamed for the widespread bee decline.
The three neonicotinoids to be severely restricted in the EU are: clothianidin, thiamethoxam and imidacloprid.
Currently they are widely used, but from next year farms will have to find alternatives.
Pesticides put bees at risk, says watchdog
The ECJ ruling said the EU had correctly applied its "precautionary principle", which allows restrictions on chemicals even when conclusive evidence of harm is lacking.
In a separate ruling, the ECJ backed chemicals giant BASF in its complaint against EU restrictions on fipronil, a different class of pesticide. So the current EU regulation that restricts fipronil will have to be amended.
The ECJ said the European Commission had failed to do an impact assessment on fipronil, and that "breached the precautionary principle".

Why the EPA’s ‘Secret Science’ proposal alarms public health experts
May 18, 2018
Later this month, the EPA could finalize a controversial rule to limit what scientific research the agency can use in writing environmental regulations.
I write as an academic who has been involved in air pollution issues for over 50 years and a former EPA assistant administrator for research and development, a political appointment position, under President Reagan. To understand why this proposed change is so controversial in the scientific community, including the EPA’s own Science Advisory Board, one needs to understand a landmark study in the history of air pollution control and science policy.

The United Nations' top human rights body has voted to send a team of international war crimes investigators to probe the deadly shootings of Gaza protesters by Israeli forces.
A resolution calling on the UN Human Rights Council to"urgently dispatch an independent, international commission of inquiry" was backed on Friday by 29 members.
Two members - the United States and Australia - voted against and 14 abstained.
Investigators must"investigate all alleged violations and abuses ... in the context of the military assaults on large-scale civilian protests that began on 30 March 2018", the approved resolution said.
The commission of inquiry will be asked to produce a final report next March.
The 28th Special Session of the Council"Violations of international law in the context of large-scale civilian protests in the #OPT, including East Jerusalem" has concluded.

Rent Increases and Work Requirements for the Poor, Mortgage-Interest Deductions for the Rich
The Trump administration’s proposal to reduce housing assistance for the poor couldn’t contrast more sharply from the housing assistance showered on the rich.
Because the GOP’s tax reform doubled the standard deduction, fewer people will claim the mortgage-interest deduction next year, as Jordan Weissmann writes in Slate. But while that means that the mortgage interest deduction will cost the government less, it also means that the deduction’s benefits will instead be even moreregressive, heavily tilted toward the very wealthiest—24 percent of the deduction’s benefits will go to households earning more than $500,000.
And so it goes in Donald Trump’s America: The poor get more regulation and more sanctions, while the rich get tax breaks.

Pentagon lodges complaint after US pilots ‘injured by Chinese military lasers’ in Djibouti
Chinese officials deny American accusations that pilots have been targeted near Beijing’s first overseas military base
“The Chinese and US bases in Djibouti are really close, so one could disturb the other if the two sides don’t have a proper communication mechanism,” said Zhou Chenming, a Beijing-based military analyst.
Zhou noted that China has already publicly showed its use of laser weapons against drones at air exhibitions.
The Chinese military base in Djibouti is just a few miles northwest of Camp Lemonnier, the only permanent US military base in Africa and home to 4,000 US military personnel.

Transport helicopter takes off from China’s new aircraft carrier as sea trial nears
Military observers say warship’s maiden journey is getting closer
An advanced transport helicopter took off from China’s first home-grown aircraft carrier on Saturday, mainland media reported, another sign that it is being prepared for sea trials.
The carrier was launched in April last year, and Zhou, a military commentator on Phoenix Television, said it usually took more than a year to prepare such a ship for sea trials.
He added that China still did not have much experience working with aircraft carriers, and it would take time to coordinate the navy units involved.

How China’s military has zeroed in on laser technology
The Pentagon this week claimed two US pilots were injured when military-grade laser pointers were shone into their eyes from China’s navy base in Djibouti as the Americans came in to land at the US base.
US officials made a formal diplomatic complaint and demanded Beijing investigate, with the defence department saying there had been similar incidents for weeks at its base in the Horn of Africa nation.
Beijing has denied the allegations.
As part of China’s push to modernise its military technology and equipment it has been developing laser weapons – ranging from low-powered tactical beam emitters to a high-energy strategic weapons system. These are some of the latest tactical laser weapons China has revealed in recent years.
Rumors of War: Mueller and Trump Prepare for Battle
Saturday, May 05, 2018
"My handy Trump-to-English dictionary translates that to mean "I will fire Rosenstein," even though all the flames of Hades will rise up to boil the marble tiles of the White House … maybe. Right? It's always "Maybe" around here thanks to heroes like Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham. They say all the right things about Trump "paying a price" for firing the deputy director if he actually does so, but I trust that about as far as I can spit a yak.
If Trump decides to move on Rosenstein, an impeachment push by the Freedom Caucus could provide just enough political cover to withstand the firestorm. This pincer move would provide the Republican jellyfish hive in Congress an excuse to let Trump be Trump … which, in this case, would mean the end of the Mueller investigation, the breaking of the Justice Department to Trump's will, and the final triumph of his Chaos Theory of Governing".

That's a good first step to be sure, a lot of follow up inspections and negotiations and verification's, that will have to be undertaken going forward for like, years to come.
But make no mistake about it, this administration called their bluff and backed it up with a military presence that is second to none.
That is not in question.
Neither is the resolve to use it in a big way if it came to that, which is exactly the who, what, where, when and how this all came together in the first place.
Only a constant and renewed threat of military escalation will keep North Korea along the path toward the elimination of it's Nuclear weapons.
President Reagan said "Trust but Verify".
The bond yield outlook is in flux, and it's contingent upon a lot of different factors, and there not all bad ones.
It's always a pendulum swing with the markets, you can always find one analyst or another that will contradict each other.
Overall it's not all doom and gloom.

Korean 'peace' must include nuclear disarmament
Washington Examiner April 30, 2018
"The opportunity of denuclearization on the Korean peninsula is not simply that it would restrict North Korea's potential to pose a critical regional and international threat, but that it could occur without limiting U.S. military deterrence options. Mr. Trump could, for example, agree not to post any U.S. nuclear forces on South Korean soil unless Kim Jong Un decided to restart his nuclear program. Even then, in effective nuclear deterrent terms the U.S. would still retain its primary nuclear striking capability via forces such as the B-2 bomber and Ohio-class nuclear ballistic missile submarines. Both those assets could be used to strike North Korea without requiring any footprint in South Korea or regional U.S. bases on Guam, Okinawa, or Japan.
First and foremost, we must verify that North Korea has stopped its development of nuclear and ICBM technology. We must also be able to make sure that North Korea abandons all its nuclear weapons.
If Kim goes along, Trump can afford more optimism. Anything short of a verifiably disarmed North Korea counts for little or nothing".

With ball in his court, Trump welcomes inter-Korean summit.
d: April 28, 2018
SEOUL, South Korea — With the ball in his court, President Donald Trump said Saturday that “things are going very well” after a historic inter-Korean summit that led to promises to pursue denuclearization and a permanent peace on the divided peninsula.
Trump said he had spoken with South Korean President Moon Jae-in by telephone a day after Moon held a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that raised hopes of peace and reconciliation after decades of hostilities.
While short on specifics, the summit laid the groundwork for Trump’s upcoming meeting with Kim, which is expected in coming weeks.
“Just had a long and very good talk with President Moon of South Korea,” Trump said in a tweet. “Things are going very well, time and location of meeting with North Korea is being set.”
Trump said the list of potential summit sites has been narrowed to two countries, which he didn’t list.
He also said he had spoken with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe “to inform him of the ongoing negotiations.”

Thxs stervc, as per DD: #msg-136594551 It's the 'Potential Merger' that is cause for speculation here with ASFX.
The first step is emergence from CH 7 BK.
The second step would be the elephant in the room, are the common share holders going to survive the closing of the CH 7 by the judge.
Of course, if the common share holders stay intact *I've already commented on that: #msg-138103707 and the 'Culmination of events' occurs, then this ticker will be well on the way to multiple pennies, in the short term, before any of the real big stuff happens. imo

After the CH 7 closing, watch for an update on filings, that's the key indication that something is going down.

The Incurable, Mysterious Disease Ravaging Australia’s Indigenous Population
HTLV-1, the most lethal human-immune virus known, is capable of killing people within weeks—but it’s not getting the public-health attention it deserves.
"The Australian indigenous population is being hit by HTLV-1, the most lethal human-immune virus known thus far, with “no current cure, no treatment and no coordinated public-health response,” according to a report in The Guardian.
An acronym for human T-lymphotropic virus type 1, HTLV-1 is related to other diseases like T-cell lymphoma. The disease is transmitted similarly to other human immune retroviruses: through sexual contact, blood transfusion, and via breastfeeding. In some cases, it can very quickly transform into leukemia.
The infection is vicious. It can kill people within weeks—or inflame the spinal cord, rendering a patient paralyzed. It can also lead to a series of painful inflammatory diseases like bronchiectasis, a condition that affects the mucus-clearing system of the lungs and makes it difficult to breathe".
