I totally agree, which is my beef with the board this morning when I asked a few honest but tough questions. I got buried, lol. I'll keep championing fair and equal opinion making here, otherwise I have to find a more honest board.
I can't see your orders being shipped, but I can see a website that says not in stock. Till that changes for all I know the only place it is shipping to is a customs holding dock or Austrailia where they can't sell them, or is it advertise? Oh wait maybe they can't sell or advertise but can give them away?
Still, if this gets to .02 I am in, as you all can pump this thing back up enough from .02 for me to double by Tuesday. I've always avoided pennies, but with what I have encountered since two weeks ago, this is down right fun. I gotta a buddy here right now laughing his rearend off at all of this.
Who needs friends, when we got Ihub?
It better, or I am going to have to eat my morning words about not accumulating anymore until I get some more starter kits. If this thing dips into the .02s I am going to have to buy more, won't I?
Maybe...
That is an AWESOME idea!!! I'd buy some of those to hand out with test samples. Nice!

I saw your follow up post, and it's a bummer, but I honestly find that more encouraging as it seems like willingness to not candy coat the facts. I certainly think all the kinks are able to be worked out, assuming they are not just looking to sell off the patents as their goal. Heck even if that is their goal, working those kinks out will only improve their chances to do so.
I didn't think I was beating it up, just thought I was asking some questions. I wouldn't be on this board if I wasn't invested, what would be the point? I just want to know more, because frankly if I see good answers to these questions from some of those more in the know here I had been planning to accumulate more shares. Then after yesterdays exchange about if their goal is to just sell the patents, I got to thinking and it lead to these questions. Nothing insidious, just curious and I got frustrated as the previous comments were not insightful.
That's not an email, that's your post. Use the image button and link one of these emails please.
Asking questions equals Wah wah wah? Two for two for customs hold ups, what are the odds? That's a question.
Thanks, that is the best reply yet, I will have to review the New Zealand info further because what I have seen so far doesn't look promising.
You know that was not my question, my question is it going to take another month for the next shipment once the current shipment clears customs and fills all the back orders. You really think this shipment will last more than a couple of days?
So I have had two replies failing to explain anything, obviously any reasonable questions are meant to be buried here.
So what, they got 19,600 cartons they can't do a thing with. How are we supposed to get the word out to smokers, have them try these when they are batting 1.000 with customs holding up their shipments? Then, when they do get the shipment, it's gone in two days. Smoker's Option's been avaialable for how long now? They've not learned anything from shipping that product? Or have they failed to sell any of those units?
I'm all for positive news sharing, but I need to know about some of the negative info too. Like deals in Australia and New Zealand when they can't even legally sell a nicotine device there. Anyone on this board can Google that information and see it doesn't add up on it's own. Such comments in SFIO's PR certainly does make those of us familiar with these facts question what is really the goal of SFIO as it does make a difference to investors.
If they don't want to be open and honest, then don't release or regurgitate PR. I'd rather wait then see PR that makes me question what should be the facts.
Again, after these back orders are filled, are we going to have to wait another month for 19,600 cartons? Glad your order's been filled. Our first one was with the first shipment. I don't doubt they can get us product, I just don't think they are really trying to. I've bought into the whole want to sell their pantents perspective. Which is a real gamble imo...
Again, I am holding, waiting and seeing. Not giving them the kiss of death here. I promise to buy more once we get a functional starter kit or better yet six. And if we can order the 6 and get more than one a month.
Maybe I am just having a case of the "Friday's" and being grumpy cause the weather here is supposed to be bad.
***Whoops, correction***
I mistakenly read what a $16.00 order consisted of.
I agree with PTF, we've seen a product, even feel it has promise. However there are still a great deal of issues that dog this company, one of them is communication. Not to mention 19,600 cartons of 10 filters each? There are 40 filters in a box??? What's the big deal on 19,600 cartons, will that even fill the back orders? Not to mention I am still more interested in starter kits that work. We still only got one that's not working. So regardless of those "loving" the product, all I can attest to is what I have seen witn my own eyes.
They've been selling Smoker's Option for how long now? They can't claim to be complete novices at this. The more I mull this company over while I do mundane things like exercise, the more I say "Great concept, good product POTENTIAL, crummy communication, down right FAILING supply chain (again, they've got to have some of this down by know just selling Smoker's Option.)"
I'm holding, but my days of accumulating are done until I get a few functional starter kits, AND we see they can create some type of supply chain. How long are going to wait for customs to hold the next batch of 19,600 cartons (i.e. a lousy 4,900 boxes.)
Perhaps a little less time in Austrailia and New Zealand trying to land deals to distribute illegal contraband, and more time getting a functional organization going. (Still REALLY fishy to me.)
Maybe they are all about the patent and just selling off. If so, most of the profits were already made by those lucky enough to have bought in the triple zeros and have sold off to speculators like me.
If they want to become a successful business, I'll hop back in. For now, even with this next shipment, I don't see them doing more that floating between .025 and .045 a share. Even with the nice chart, I'm just slowly getting an uneasy feeling of a company already in the habit of making excuses and just giving us enough of something real to help them to try and sell a patent. As if there are not other soft filter options being developed as we wait.
I guess a buyout doesn't seem as attractive to me being a long term investor in a penny. All your points are dead on though, and why I was wondering if anyone knew this CEO's track record. As a long term investor could see huge profits if the company decides to go it alone, like a Google, Ebay, Netflix before comtemplating selling or perhaps even becoming the buyer of something else.
Now if I were in it short term, yes, I'd be rooting buy out. So I guess I am fine with that, but I really see big possibilites on this company if they decide to mature solo. For as many small companies holding patents that sell and avoid the headaches, who make nice profits for their investors, we see some wade through those details and become historic. I probably am expecting too much from SFIO, but I really think this product is revolutionary.
Keep in mind I typically do not monitor stocks nearly as frequently as I monitor this one, so I want long term stocks I don't have to watch as closely. I guess the fact that I am wading into waters I've rarely waded into is silly of me, but this product really does intrigue me.
OK, so I considered buying more on the patent news, but then set a limit as I cooled on the whole patent situation. Yes it has value, but for real long term prospects the key is the product pipeline, and product reviews. Both of which I don't have enough on. However, I heard another interesting tidbit that I had not thought of. Is this CEO and company trying to prime themselves to get bought out? In which case there is money to be made, but not the rich profits others envision if they were to become the company to destroy big tobaccos "cash cow" once and for all.
I mean if they do "sell out" make handsome profits for everyone they really miss out on being the real and important part of historic change and profits.
So what I am hoping one of you more in the loop investors can share is if this CEO who I believe is known for getting startups going, known for getting them going and selling the company out to a bidder for a merger, or more turn it over to new management after he gets his "atta'boy" severeance package?
It could affect if I sit and hold my current position or accumulate more, or at least more aggressively.
He said "fraction of a penny" which is different. Your example is a fraction only in the sense that it is 8/1, but went up 8 times the base value. Huge difference in statements.
OK, I was cut short yesterday as I did not realize I get only 3 posts a day as a new subscriber and I am not ready to commit to s subscription here yet. So I must address a few replies I missed yesterday, in the name of good etiquette.
First, I think it was Hurtzss. The smokers we had try it all basically have said the same thing. They just don't feel that nicotine hit, and none seemed to feel warmth incoming into their lungs,
Two, I thought the two issues may be due to the same cause, as I had read others who speculated some bad units are out there, which with anything, some lemons make it out of QA. However, I also read some additional speculation that the nicotine filters are a slightly different style than the Cinnamon and Menthol non-nicotine filters. Now I cannot verify these claims, as we have not purchased any of the non-nicotinie type of filters, but it SEEMS that is extremely plausible. I know gut feels are meaningless, but having been around enough "new product" launches myself, I hate to say I see oversights like this far too often by zealous marketing and sales folks. Even as design and engineering are pleading for a delay. There IS always the possibility that a cash strapped start up is willing to unload their current inventory hell or highwater because frankly they need the funds. I think this is putting carts before horses, but that is my opinion as I see that alienating excited new customers, and even investors. AGAIN, all this is specualtion built off of other specuations to this point but...
Three, today's news is somewhat what I wanted to hear. SOMETHING was mentioned about the start kits availability. Had they said they are getting a new shipment with their most recent revision to correct either airflow issues with the nicotine filters, or to correct quality issues, I'd of been tickled pink. Now they may not have enough raw data to do either at this time, and that too is acceptable. Just not ideal for those who need to sober up for the long haul.
Four, Flippers need this volatility. Those bashing the stock today are making money on the short, and many buy stocks based on charts and graphs and daily and weekly losses and gains. Many are not only day traders, but minute men. They see a penny like this rocket from .001 to .07, they know the hypsters have pulled it off. In many cases this is true, in some cases, they hype is worthy of consideration. I think SFIO is worthy, I bought in at .07 myself when I caught wind of a real product coming. I seldom if ever buy pennies, as I can't track stocks all day. So I buy them when they seem ready to become a real company. I've missed on more than my fair share too. Ebay and Netflix still make me cry. The best part is you really never loose with these pennies that start to make legit products that SELL. Even the ones that fail, will typically give you enough time to make you intial investment back.
All this being said (in a long winded post to conserve my 3 of the day) I doubled my position today. We have a product in hand, and yes our smoker test subjects have some minor but important feedback to this point. We ONLY have one starter kit, and we may have a bad one. Either way it's either a design issue (albeit most likely minor) or a quality issue (also, most likely minor) but still an issue with our base unit. I think it is preventing the flow of warm air, and thus you are also not drawing in enough to the nicotine to create that satisfying "hit" they are looking for. So I am excited to get a chance to obtain some additional starter kits. I have the hype built up enough with folks who still want to try if their first time, to keep me busy. I just don't know if I want to keep investing money in kits in filters that I'd rather be pumping into my stock, because yes at this price... EVERY buck counts. Folks are going to be come millionaires on this stock, I can't afford enough to be one of them, but I am still going to profit happily in the long run if these minor issues get ironed out.
Finally, my Katherine Heigl line of which I am proud as I just adore her and she looked so silly with that plastic air vapor toy. NOW THAT BEING SAID, they ARE helping people to quit smoking, and I mostly kid because me, and especially he smokers I know, laugh at how that video clip looks. I bascially equate it to my grand daughter blowing bubbles in the back yard. Which is why they are all really keen one the, "I just want to get the hit and have the feel of a cigarette." Which is what makes SFIO's product so simply genious, it is a SOFT filter (this is huge to each and everyone of our test subects who have tried and are waiting, many of which have refused to try traditional e-cigs just to test them.) In addition to the lack of a "phoney looking" puff coming out. If it serves a purpose it makes sense, but for looks forget about it. That is what will really back file on those the emit vapors. It's not that resturaunts and bars won't allow most of them, it's that most smokers (the more hard core the more critical of it in my group) don't like the vapor. It makes sense with a real cigarette, since there is fire involved. "No fire? I'm not a three year old, you ain't fooling me." Is what they think.
In the end, I have an EVEN more far out theory. SFIO doesn't want to go crazy on their new releases. KISS... Yes keep it simple stupid! This allows them time to work out these issue only hyper additive types like us investors constantly looking for that next big tip worry about. If anything, their share price slides back, allowing them to perhaps recoup some of their own shares at better prices. Becuase if you think I am excited I am able to dollar cost average on this puppy, well how do you think they themselves see it? Buying bonanza, that for a little while they don't have to report on and drive their stock up liek will be the case very soon for them.
Charts mean nothing when a penny reaches the point to cross over to small cap status. Well, let me rephrase that. They mean nothing to long term investors who have researched their prooduct and like the potential. These same chart patterns are seen on pennies that die, as well and pennies that fly at this juncture. I'm not saying SFIO is the net Netflix, Ebay, or Google. It's not. Howevever, it has a real product now, that is really for sale, and this gives it a RE/AL chance.
So the POINT of my first post yesterday. I wished the company would clarify the situation with starter kits. Which frankly, they may have done today. I'm just still not sure they are being completely open, but there is good reasons not too. Oddly enough, another good thing. THEY HAVE NOT started to advertise yet. My brother asked about that and I explained how horrible an idea that is. They gotta get the supply chain going, the kinks worked out and THEN they can let Katherine Hiegl redeem herself on late night TV!!!
P.S. It's been known since 2009 that AHN Biotechnologie GmbH has supplied the filters, so that is not actually new news. Any Google search will quickly confirm that.
Yes, we (three of us) went in and bought a starter kit and 2 sets of filters. We want to buy more starter kits to get more input as we've only tried the smokers where my brother works since it was delivered to him. We still have smokers at my work, and then two hyper critical smokers (in my father who we are saving for last as he will be very demanding, but he is not a pass or fail for the product but rather a possible HOMERUN. Because if he and my cousin like them, then ALL smokers will.)
But hey, I appreciate being called a liar my first day on the board. The good news is at least folks are active and certainly reading. Feedback is good, even if it is bad and poorly presented.
If I can't share my opinions and those of the ones I have gathered with RE/AL field testing, what the heck good is this board? I caught the iLube reference, so should I take that to mean if you can't jump in one the pump and hump story line, then take your real and non-fictional research elsewhere?
Yes, we have the product, YES we're all holding out stock. YES, I am trying to say, I have some construtive criticism to share about the product and believe this is why consumers cannot order the starter kits (FOR over two weeks) becuase guess WHAT???? I would like to purchase more of them for further research, ESPECIALLY if they release a revised base unit. They don't have to revise it, as we can continue to buy filters but have held off as we really do want to have a pair of base units and chargers each.
AGAIN, I am not down on this product, I'm just antsy to hear either something from the company about why STARTER KITS are not avaialbe for over two weeks when we got our first order in just a few days. There was never anything about starter kits being delayed in their communication, just filters. Better yet, they can just send me 4 more baseunits and chargers free, as we'll buy plenty of filters and get all the darn field testing they could ever want done for them in about a month. We want this to work for many reasons. 1. We are investors. 2. We'd love our friends and family who smoke to switch to these for health reasons. and 3. AND yes of course I lying about this one... We'd love to see everyone have a healthier alternative to tabacco products, because we are EVIL.
I'm basing this on the folks I have had try it. Not one smoker felt satisfied yet. Now grant it, we've only had a handfull of guys try it due to the number of filters we have they've ALL given the same feedback independant of knowing what the others have said before hand. I then have coupled this with the comments I have read here and on various other boards.
Again, I have not had an issue with how this product is evolving, if anything, as I mentioned, I expect this. I do admit I put more "cred" into negative reviews at this time, as every smoker who has tried it that I know has said it has promise, but is not there yet. So when I read positive reviews, I typically lean towards them being 1. investors in SFIO to whom I would say hold because there is promise here, or 2. non-smokers or social smokers who do not use a cigarette for meeting a physiological need.
That's all. My "Sobering Facts" was probably too dramatic, and not targeted, so I can see some taking issue to that statement. I meant, sobering facts on the stock price and slight movements over the last two weeks. Those expecting big moves either way need to temper those expectations with the simple fact that this company is just starting out and with all start-ups there are some bumps, so sober up this thing isn't going to the moon in two weeks (though an pinkie trader could argue it already did, but I am speaking towards this company maturing into a real company which I think it has begun.)
So I apologize if I "offeneded" anyone's sensibilities with that less than ideal use of sobering facts, I can see it was misleading of my opinion, which is hold, if not accumulate.
I'm new here, so I must learn the lingo and get to learn the "unofficial rules" of the board. However, I must chime in, as I have feedback on these RE/AL cigs that is very sobering. Maybe this is already known here, but non-smokers who try it, seem to find them interesting. However, non-smokers are not going to buy these.
Now the few smokers who've we been able to get to try them have some complaints about them. Mostly about the lack of "fulfillment" and I thought I read somewhere that these new nicotine filters don't work so hot with the current base starter kits. This would jive with the feedback we've gotten from smokers, so there is hope a revision will correct this. I actually expect numerous revisions in a product so new.
Thus, I am not in the least surprised they are struggling with "supply" as I don't think they want to risk futher negative PR based on some minor incompatibilites I think may currently exist. What I am a little "miffed" by is that they call this a supply issue, but it's now lingered into a second week. They also call the supply issue related to filters in their new release, but I've never seen the filters become unavailable.
So my question is, why wouldn't the company admit to a redesign issue? It's early in the development, we've got new filers which deliver nicotine now. Sure, we could argue that they should have had this figured out in advance. Yet, reality has repeated proven most products go to market flawed "in the users mind" and the user is key. So we understand then that these things need to be resolved in a timely fashion. Timely fashion in this case is ANYONE's guess as we have very little understanding of what it takes to redesign a e-cig and then alter production for this change.
I guess, I see this slip in price, understandale, even expected. What I don't understand is why the company would not state the issue at hand, building some "Street Cred" with investors as being and open and honest company. Is there that much at risk at the moment? Is this type of product that fragile? Is the company that fragile? Have they scared enough tobacco giants that they are being tampered with?
If tomorrow has PR as some speculate, I hope it addresses this rumor about design changes needed for the new filters. Then I hope to get my hands on some new starter kits, and see the "fulfillment" that smokers hope for being met with a near eqeual amount of drags.
I'm holding long, but sure willing to see it dip to pick up more if they (SFIO) lets it.
BTW Katherine Heigl would look even hotter on late night TV using a RE/AL cigarette than that goofy wator vapor toy she was playing with. All my smoking buddies agree to this!!!
