Personally, I don’t remember any news being released as late as 9am unless it was after trading. If there’s nothing at 7am I’m usually of the opinion that we aren’t getting anything. Glad to see it may change tbh

I’ve often wondered this myself and consider the following as a plausible explanation:

He’s far too paranoid about the whole technology behind the company just being stolen or copied by the Chinese. Maybe he believes it’s in the interests of the company to keep everything on the QT until contracts are signed and success is realised with tangible revenue and commercial partnerships with bigger fish than us that will throw their weight behind us if anything nefarious goes on.

In all honesty, it being stolen before it gets off the ground is my only really worry.

A short time from now, we could all be pondering on what a genius move it was :)

Everything pretty much shuts down. The official holidays are usually 7-9 days but you can expect extended periods of inactivity either side of the official holidays.

I’d like to say that gov’t agencies would run as usual however in my experience, gov’t agencies are ‘jobs for the boys’ (full of nepotism) and full of lazy SOBs. So don’t get your hopes up for much got 2-3 weeks around Tet.

That being said, if all that’s happening is a bit of silkworm rearing then I don’t see it as consequential. You never know, if things have been done right then it has been planned around Tet.......

On an aside, the Vietnamese are incredibly superstitious and with the new year brings new opportunities. People see it as a new start, this could play nicely into KBLB’s hands.....

Believe me, there is no bitterness whatsoever. I’m a Brit but was asked many times if I was American, never under a shroud of animosity or Ill feeling.

The Vietnamese are a very forgiving race of people, probably due to the predominant Buddhism & Taoism in the country.

It was just a flip from yesterday, I didn’t have the balls to keep them off the table for long. Plus I found out my BS broker (Firstrade) charges around 5% commission (on the $ value of the sale) for sub dollar stocks so it was one big expensive mistake that cost me around 20,000 shares!!!

If anybody can recommend a decent broker that accepts foreign clients then please shout out!!

The only thing KBLB will be paying for its financing is with beautiful shiny super strong Dragon Silk.

Nobody on this board has ever denied that Vietnam is corrupt, certainly not me. I’ve gone into detail about it several times.

2012-13 doesn’t seem like long ago, but the pace of change in Vietnam is frightening so really an awful lot has changed since then.

Sometimes getting what you need in Vietnam is as much about who you know, not only how much you pay. It may well be that Kenneth Le has the contact necessary to ensure no bribes were needed.

Back in 2010, I had a friend of a friend who was an immigration officer. To cut a long story short I was having difficulty getting my baby daughter out of the country. He helped me do so, no doubt illegally, get her out for me. No money was needed, just knowing the right people.

t’s absolutely not impossible, I personally know plenty of people that have successfully set up businesses in Vietnam without bribing people. Plus we are far from the first US company that is doing business in Vietnam and I’m sure plenty of others are already doing work in compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

If I were you I’d start taking a look at the Vietnamese news just now. As the biggest corruption shakedown in Vietnamese history is currently taking place. A good portion of the house of cards is falling down so things are definitely changing.

In my eyes, one of the reasons it took 4 years is because Kim hasn’t been bribing anybody. There was plenty of delay and plenty of hurdles along the way, very possibly as a result of no backhanders. Bribing would have bought us our result sooner but I’m convinced no bribes have been paid.

May I ask how long ago you tried to do business in Nam?

Hey Yankee and all, the flowers on stands set up behind Kim & Jon are extremely typical for a new business opening up. You would even see these outside shops, cafes and small businesses on the streets when they were newly opened.

I’d almost guarantee that the flowers are gifts from officials or their KBLB’s local partners, people who have an interest in the company’s success as they are a symbol of good luck & prosperity.

This makes me rather excited.

FYI I spent the best part of 10 years working for a Vietnamese Company and not once did I encounter a single company that had not set up a subsidiary or become involved with a Vietnamese partner to do business over there.
