Okay, sahd3g. Thanks for that. By the way, I'm betting big on this stock as well. This one is my biggest holding.
A question: what does JADA do eventually with the 80,000 issues of stock? Could they do a reverse split to pump the price up and get that unwieldy number now? I'd say there is no need now for such an action since JADA has not indicated it is rushing to uplist, and doesn't seem too fazed with the price. Plus, being an OTC stock, there is no AMEX, Nasdaq pressure to keep the price at a higher level, which ORS, for example, is dealing with now. Ideally, it would be nice if the company just bought up some of these shares, especially at the going price. Any thoughts on the bloated share situation at JADA?
Should we take cold comfort that Orsus is considering a reverse split to maintain its listing? Better that than closing up shop. At least it indicates the company wants to keep going and maybe, just maybe, their pricier 3G phones are snatched up. I'm going to call the company's IR rep in NY to see what's what. Will report back on this board to the sound of crickets.....
Absolutely right, value. As long as JADA doesn't go belly up I won't worry. Just extricated myself from the disaster known as CHIO. So, I'm a bit ansy right now....
And thanks, value. You've been very solicitous about answering my queries....
I guess it comes down to acceptance on the part of the Chinese consumer. Eventually, that will come, if it isn't happening already. Just frustrating to see this stock tread in water while a lot of other promising stocks rise. The financials seem solid, so... I guess we just wait.....
why?????
Thanks for the response. Just seems in light of all the anecdotal info out there that jade prices are going thru the roof in China that we'd see some investor interest in a company that sells the stuff. Hence, my concern that maybe 'our' jade is not in such great demand. Hopefully, the answer will be a bit clear come November when they release some stats. JADA would probably get a good bump if they just communicated with the investors....
I know you addressed the quality of the particular type of jade mined by the JADA folks. Wondering if anyone out there has any idea how the Chinese are taking to it? Whether, the general consensus there is that this jade is high-quality or not up to the standard of the Burmese or the other stuff.
CIHD with another 9 percent rise on Monday. Up 30% since I got in at .45 cents.
Thanks much. Right now I'm up about 17 percent. Will see where this one goes....
Any other juicy bits to pass on? This stock seems very very undervalued; I'm very bullish on it. Got in at .45.
I think patience will be rewarded in the case of JADA. I'm looking at a three-year time-line, for this company to really get its act together. Right now, some simple stuff, like communications, would help tremendously. Hopefully, management will get the picture...
For what it's worth, I think folks are a little wary about JADA due to the slightly weaker sales figures for Q2; the general lack of IR(this after some movement on that front that came to an abrupt end, perhaps for mentioning a possible stock buy-back plan?); and a lack of no new customers. Strong Q3 results obviously will help this stock, but long-term, JADA needs to get a little more p.r. savvy, and really sell their story. The financials seem strong, just seems people who were burned by JADA are nervous about sticking their toe back in. I'm hoping in three years my 20,000-plus shares earns me a tidy profit!!
Totally agree. Have 6,000 shares, which is a lot for a two-bit investor like me, and think this one could really rocket. The deal with Sinochem hasn't really sunk in yet with the investing community. If it stays at these prices for a bit, will sink some more in....
Perhaps this stock has a life after all. The deal with Sinochem is very promising and with the stock trading at historical lows, I've taken the plunge myself.
Thanks very much. I guess I'm just a tad worried with all the talk of jade prices spiking that JADA may miss the boat because it sells the "wrong" type of jade. Just don't understand why that stock price is so low. Hopefully Q3 results will be positive and send this thing upwards....
I'm loaded up on this stock, and agree with all believers here, that this stock is really undervalued. A question: I've seen it mentioned that the type of jade JADA mines is not the jade Chinese are used to buying. I've also read that the type of jade JADA mines is of a higher quality, harder, ect. Just wondering how much of an issue this is for Chinese consumers, whether they'll still prefer the Burmese stuff to our JADA stuff. Any thoughts?
you got it. Apparently, stock traders don't read the NYT. No bump in the price of JADA today.
Anyone see this article in today's NYT.
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/21/world/asia/21jade.html?_r=1
Anyone have an inkling why ORS jumped 78 % today. Yes, it was only 11 cents, but on a stock down at 14 cents, that's huge. Don't see any news....
Obviously this is a huge sign this company is here to stay and will tackle the problems....
Agree with the sentiment that there is more than a little bit of envy/propaganda stirring into the story that is China. Yes, the Chinese economy is 'cooling down' to a predicted 9 percent growth. I'll take a slowdown like that. Seems there's a lot of wishful thinking that a Chinese 'bubble' will decimate them much as the rest of the Western world, read Europe and the U.S., seems doomed for.
I'd just add that if you have a little more patience, eventually this stock will break free of these pops and drops, and, over time, probably will rise well beyond 50 or 60 cents. Heck, getting two two bucks over the next two years wouldn't seem like an impossible task. And then what kind of windfall are we talking here? Patience is almost always rewarded.
Got 2,000 more shares at a 'high' of 0.38. Almost have 20,000 shares, which I thought was quite a bit, until reading some of the posts here. Obviously, I'm the poor relation....
I agree too. Hardly the best time to cash out. Textbook case of why most people fail while investing: buy high, sell low. No reason now to sell this stock. At least wait for the info on the acquisition or next quarter results. Oh, well, I guess I'll snatch up more at these bargain basement prices.
