stating they were applying for a permit to begin drilling on the 29th
Liberty Star has proposed a Period of Operation commencing September 29, 2014. The innovative drilling program proposed by LBSR could begin after that date if the EPO is effective and adequate funding is obtained.
I can sell you some, need some cash while I wait for LBSR to move on. ;)
Come on, what did we expect? Financing deal announced on the best possible terms? Tried to get some credit lately? A mortgage? If that's still difficult how about getting someone to fork over 6 million to plow a field to possibly prove that the sky can be blue.
This was never going to be one that follows our preferred timeline. If it was, it would be one of the penny stocks that brings us the NRs with the news we want, when we want it. And I for one don't want it to be that.
I do believe they are doing their utmost to find us a deal. In the future - maybe not even that distant a future - the situation might be such that it will have to be *any* deal.
We've been there. Survived. There's no guarantee we'll survive a second time.
So, options are to get out or get a helping of patience cookies.
I'm in in. Staying in. Waiting. With all the knowledge and work that went into this I want him to add another chapter or two to this story. The happily ever after chapter.
Go Mr. Briscoe!
But will we get to see the results of the first hole? :)
Go Mr. Briscoe!
We'll see. Like the glimpse at some optimism. But we've been there before. Time will till. I'm ready.
Good luck to you too, Blue.
Go Mr. Briscoe!
But what a strange way of answering that query...
Or is that just me? My experience is that if I'm not very precise in formulating my question, the answer is either left unanswered or answered the way they can. Trying to be helpful but only providing information within the boundaries of what can be safely released to the public.
The way this is answered is more like hinting. Sorry looking for words to try to express myself here in a language which isn't mine.
What a strange way of answering.
'"Are we any closer to a binding agreement for financing?” A general answer is yes, and there is lots of interest, on several fronts.'
It's the *and* in that answer that I'm looking at.
And thanks for asking, Blue. Appreciated.
Thanks, no worries. I'll try to find out. Googling it right now.
Go Mr. Briscoe!
You wouldn't happen to know whether they allow to create an account there for someone outside the US? I guess you'd need a bank account in the US?
Thanks.
Go Mr. Briscoe!
We're good. All the preparation work has been done. Meticulously. We're ready. Funding is the cue for the PPS. The conditions as well. Might be another couple of bumps along the way whilst we try to 'keep the lights on' but most of us are now experts on dealing with these bumps.
But funding will make it worth the wait. Whenever that will end. We're good.
Go Mr. Briscoe!
;) Sorry Dent, couldn't resist.
Guess I'm getting a little 'fed up' by all the 'almost September 29th', 'this is our year', 'NR Tuesday is upon us', 'maybe an early Thanksgiving present' messages here.
The story will unfold (should we find the funding). But it will unfold on the timeline the story needs to unfold. Not because the shareholders want it to accommodate their agenda.
We'll see. Or not. I'm in.
Go Mr. Briscoe!
What year?
Well... Wish I was as optimistic. But we need the money. One way or the other. And maybe this is the better of the options. Maybe it's the only option.
Mr. Briscoe possibly 'being confident of good news soon' and good news actually reaching us are two different things.
I'm not in the 'thin to sub-penny' camp, but not everyone will be interpreting this as the best that could have happened at this point in time. Some were no doubt in the 'next NR is the one' state and might not be as patient as others.
Either way. We'll see. We'll wait and see. Well... I will. Wait. And see.
Go Mr. Briscoe!
No need to apologize. Lost mine more often than the times I've gained confidence. And it could - and most likely will - happen again.
But I'm here to see mr. Briscoe tell his story. The entire story. And he will. Eventually.
And chances are I'll cross the big pond at that point in time just to have a chance to shake his hand. Or not.
But till that time: go Mr. Briscoe!
Thank you very much indeed.
Go Mr. Briscoe!
Excuse me, G., but which NR did you quote from here? Thanks.
Go Mr. Briscoe!
None, as you were typing. Think I have the answer to your last question. ;)
Go Mr. Briscoe!
Thank you for posting more frequently again. I've learned to appreciate that as a sign of good things to come.
Now without a doubt we won't know whether the drilling will commence on the mentioned date or after it, but they've generally been very careful when expressing timelines in NR's.
But why would they go through the trouble at this point in time should the outlook wrt funding this major step be bleak? I read it as a vote of confidence that one way or another we'll move ahead. But then again, what do I know, haven't made millions in this game. Yet.
I'll patiently await.
Go Mr. Briscoe!
Must have missed some research here at some point in time. Henry?
Go Mr. Briscoe!
Hmm. Thanks. Missed that. Doesn't look like a typo.
I'm not doubting that we have what Mr. Briscoe has known for quite some time.
Having said that, I'm not the one that needs convincing. I've contributed what I wanted to risk. The party that is asked to hand over the first 6.5 million is hopefully as impressed with Mr. Briscoes achievements so far as we (well, most of us) are.
Assuming phase 1 brings what most of us anticipate it to bring, I'd want part of the pie of phase 2 up till 4 as well if one would be able to convince me to part with my money.
Should we entertain the thought of 'only' phase 1 money I see very few (can't even come up with one) scenarios where it would be beneficial for both parties.
Then again, how much leverage do we have till we're past phase 1?
Go Mr. Briscoe!
We do, we do.
I see it as positive though. Very much so. We've (well, Mr. Briscoe has) got everything covered as far as he is able to. To the greatest detail possible. He's made sure we're ready to move ahead as soon as we are able to.
Money is the only thing that could stop him from seeing his lifetime achievement come to fruition (is that English?). As we are all very aware.
And he apparently does not want all his eggs in one basket.
The interested parties of yesterdays NR, maybe a deal on NP, but continuing to look further. It doesn't hurt. It can't. It can only benefit us.
Go Mr. Briscoe!
I had kind of given up on NP. So if something comes from that, excellent, but I'll see it when it comes. Or not.
Getting close to getting close. ;)
Go Mr. Briscoe!
Go Mr. Briscoe!
All the preparation finished. Here's hoping for a chance to prove all.
Additional. True. He even states it. Should read the entire NR first next time. Thanks. Excellent.
W/o knowing the details my gut feeling says that I'd prefer 'one international mining entity' over 'three domestic investing groups'.
But mining entity and domestic inesting groups. Are we to conclude this is in addition to possible interest from the region just visited? Or do we read this as 'don't expect to much from there'?
I assume it's to soon for the latter, but I'm not allowed to assume anymore.
And before we can talk of 'proven' goodies in the ground, I'd think we'd need to be able to show just a tad more than just the one core.
Why run the risk, but more importantly go through all the effort and expense for just one hole? Once you have the equipment and skill in place why not make the best of it?
Ok, tip for next Sunday reading: please read de backstory first (there's more than enough here and on their site) and after that go through the filings. Should you still be interested that is.
But no, LBSR has not yet had a flow of income generated by mining activities. Exploration is the keyword so far
But do read up here. There's potential for sure. That, and we need your cash to keep the lights on.
Revenue on exploring?
Yeah, but then we run the risk it might get believable and with that dangerous... :o
I'm with you. The board looses its charm w/o the input of our resident millionaire.
Go mr. Briscoe!
Liberty Star Submits Testimony to US House of Representatives Committee on Natural Resources RE: Strategic Rare Earth Elements

Excellent. Glad I could be useful for once. ;)
Go mr. Briscoe!
For one reason or the other, I can't get passed the verification page. Regardless of which browser I use. It's trying to run some script after I register the code in the 'I'm not a bot' page, but doesn't allow me further to download.
If you can download, as I understand - I can't test it as I don't have the WordPerfect files - LibreOffice (the free, open source office application) allows to import WordPerfect files.
When you open a file from within that application (LibreOffice Writer), select the filetype there, and it should read it. At least it did it in version 3.5
Hope that helps. Will make another attempt at trying to get past the 'security' I'm to curious now to wait till everyone at the other side of the pond decides it's time to wake up. ;)
Go mr. Briscoe!
Appreciate the update but is there anything in there that we could not have been informed about upon the return of mr. Briscoe?
Not trying to be negative here, just wondering why this update only comes now.
Any possible opportunity to find cash to drill and prove is great news IMO.
Go mr. Briscoe!
Fully agree. Was pleased to read that.
