TA is so subjective! My dailys tell me that the inverted H&S neckline is at .33, a level which has been successfully tested and is therefore confirmed as critical support. A failure of that level gets us down to the doji cluster at .28.
Tiger........how could you, a confirmed TA guy, be selling now? We formed a hammer at fib support where the 20 DMA is crossing above the 50 DMA in the midst of an intermediate uptrend (higher hi's and higher lows) right at the shoulder of an inverted head 'n shoulder pattern, not to mention the confirmed histogram divergence on the weekly. Could it be that fundamentals are creeping into your analysis, like the possibility that SE will not be forthcomming soon?
Oh, and as for you not being "perfect", please don't be so hard on yourself.
Conofie.......Post #23049
Reality check! As of the time of this posting, morning after FDA clearance netted VKNG 13 points or 40%, from .27 to .40. That puts IMGG at .55 under the same circumstances. I wonder how the IMGG $2.00 to $10.00 dreamers are going to respond to that.
Nothing personal BUST, but not all of us believe that Dean wrote Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Your statememt clearly contradicts the news release and the attached FDA org chart.
http://www.fda.gov/AboutFDA/CentersOffices/OrganizationCharts/ucm183986.htm
BUST, I know you want to get the Director of the CDRH and Shuren in on this conversation, but nobody is questioning his title and authority. The subject of Hindsight's query, as you acknowledged in #25372, was Rosecrans, the Director of the 510(k)Office of Device Evaluation, and it is clear, if you read the news release carefully, below, that she and her office are not only in the loop, but at the center of the decision making process, and therefore, by extension, have a considerable influence on the final destination of Dean's application.
"A major player in CDRH’s 510(k) process is stepping down just as the agency begins to revamp the device clearance program. Heather Rosecrans, director of CDRH’s 510(k) Office of Device Evaluation, is retiring Sept. 15, FDA spokesman Dick Thompson said. Her departure could be another example of the ongoing turnover at CDRH, John Romans, CEO of BioMedix Vascular Solutions, said, adding that the turnover has resulted in a loss of institutional memory, contributing to the lack of predictability in the clearance process."
No argument with you there BUST, but to suggest that the Director is out of the loop I think is misleading.
20Hindsight20.....While it is true that the Director does not get involved in the application by application technicalities, I think it is nieve to suggest the the final approvals/clearances don't go thru his/her office before they are announced. Especially so for the high profile applications.
Up another .02......ah, the sweet smell of success.
The recent spike in the PPS is a direct result of all that fresh news that Dean released furing his CC last Friday, the most salient of which was offered at the 5:37 time mark. Revisit it if and watch the stampede continue.
BUST.....with all due respect, I personally heard nothing new yesterday, and, IMO, neither have most of the other board members, and neither have you. I challange you to give us one example of a tidbit of new significant information that Dean disclosed yesterday that heretofore had not been public knowledge and that we haven't been rehashing for months on this board.
As you know, the reason people keep asking the same questions is that they keep getting the same old answers, and, at this point, they are desperate to hear something new. I would like to know, for example how many times Dean himself has called the FDA asking the same old "status" question, only to be repeatedly rebuffed by the same old "it's in the works" answer.
Thats why I find this rally this morning very curious. Yesterday, people were dumping the stock at the prospect that Dean would say nothing new and that the situation would stay the same. Today, they are buying the stock because Dean, in fact, said nothing new and the situation stays the same. Maybe it just depends on how sweet smelling the substance is that is thrown over the same old Bovine Scatum.
fidder......Is that what your dowsing rod tells you today?
As of 11:18:43.....best bid on my L2 is .186.
Well BT......one thing is for sure. Incompetence, if it applies, is not confined to the FDA.
madtig.......you know the age old adage that says "buy when the market needs buyers, and sell when it needs sellers". Unfortunately, it takes a whole bunch of nads to do this, but, as the present T&S attests, there are people who have them.
Shaka.......predictions are almost always wrong, and even BUST will admit that his haven't been the most stellar either. But we're not talking predictions. When you made the statement "If anything in the application changed then it most certainly restarted the clock", you were talking about rules, or, at least your interpretation of them. BUST showed you conclusively why your interpretation of the rules was wrong, and you have yet to show us conclusively why it was right. 'Nuff said.
madtig......it's a full assault today, and it seems like an orchestrated one at that. Maybe, in a contrarian kind of way, it means that we are getting close.
bigred, It is no secret that the government regulators have over the past decades become so incompetant, undermanned, and underfinanced that they have become ruled by the very industries that they are supposed to regulate (what's happened in the financial and oil industries the past two years is perfect proof). And, as the FDA is a government regulator, it is IMO entirely possible that there are "outside influences" that could and would affect the outcome of this submission other than purely its merits. In the case of I3, I think that is becomming more and more obvious every day, as the only other alternative would be to believe that Dean is a complete buffoon.
"If anything in the application changed then it most certainly restarted the clock." Shaka, you made the statement, and purported it to be fact. Bust said that you were wrong and showed you in black and white why you were wrong, nothing "subjective" about it. Now, thanks to Bust, the burden is upon you to show us in black and white (ie; something other than your gut feeling) why you are right. Man up big guy!
Chev.......it's almost been four years, and the PPS is .30. That statement isnt "negitivity" or a "false statement", it's fact. No wonder the "truth" is so hard to defend.
I agree wiz. How do you tell a potential customer that I have a great machine, but I cant sell it to you cause I cant get it through the FDA? And, even though I've been trying for four years, it's a great machine and FDA approval is only days away. In my opinion, Dean should forget about the RSNA and all the media sites and lay low, doing what he should have been doing all along, quietly crossing all the t's and dotting all the i's.
Did you see the MTV show this morning where Baillargeon was interviewing the head honcho of another medical imaging company, and this guy said that the FDA was getting faster? Did you see where this guy said that you shouldn't worry about the FDA, that
if your convincing, you can get through the FDA in a couple months? Did you see that?
That was awesome!
For those who want to reminisce, I pasted the following:

Poppo, technical analysis is a tool many traders use, particularly with such parameters as resistance and support levels, moving averages and overbought or oversold conditions. They are very helpful on some but not all stocks, up to a point, but significant contractual agreements, FDA clearance of devices or FDA approval of medications or announcements or significant revenues reported among other reasons can override even the most overbought and resistance points on any stock.
IMGG is the rare gem that will move, ultimately on merit. Results of the beta testing will be hugely positive for this company and its stock price, but the soon to be achieved FDA clearance of the device will cause a further run-up in anticipation and a major rocket blast off in share price upon its announcement in my opinion.
What do you think would happen to the share price when a Siemens or GE announces a contractual agreement with Imaging3 for a buyout?... I'd say 10-20 bagger from here!
We are rapidly approaching the fourth anniversary of that posting, yet if it weren't dated, I'd swear it was posted 5 minutes ago. At that time, the PPS was around .19......today it is .295 and, think of it, Dean has four previous successful FDA submissions for experience!
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?
madtig.......read your article carefully. A "stop market order" is a generic term that, as I said, lacks specificity and clarity. Enter a "stop market order" with your broker, and see what he says.
madtig.......I am glad that you are comfortable with your "system" and I trust that it is serving you well
Your use of the term "stop market order" conveys a lack of clarity (as there technically is no such thing) and suggests that there may be some confusion on your part as to what the different conditional orders are supposed to accomplish. Perhaps it might be helpful if you refamiliarize yourself with the differences between "market", "limit" and "stop" orders. Just a suggestion.
In response to IMGGorB and madtig, be mindful when entering a sell stop (stop loss) order that your order can and will be triggered when somebody enters a bid at your stop price. In other words, the "last" price of the stock does not have to sink and hit your stop point for your order to be triggered, as most people believe. If somebody, like an MM, bids your stop price, you are out of your stock, even though the "last" price has never even remotely approached your stop price. I know. Regretfully, its happened to me (I was prematurely stopped out, and immediately after, the stock skyrocketed).
PS: Some brokers allow their clients to enter "advanced" orders to protect themselves from this. This is cumbersome however, if you need to fire off an order amid intense volitility. Seems to me, and correct me if I'm wrong, that a market order to sell after your mental stop has been hit is the way to go. The downside however is that you have to stay in front of your computer, and never, ever, doze off.
madtig......beautiful night for watching shooting stars.
madtig......though I consider myself a technician. I take it with a grain of salt. I have been studying charts for a long time in search of the holy grail and have learned, as I have discussed earlier on this board, that a person can see on a chart whatever he wants to see, and that for every technical signal on a chart that suggests future movement in one direction, there is at the same time another signal that suggests future movement in the opposite direction. It is important for the technician to remember, and sometimes I forget, that it is price action that determines what the technical pattern will look like, and not vice versa.
Nevertheless,I do appreciate your posts. Tx.
madtig.....I am equally intrigued by the doji that is forming on the dailys at very strong resistance in the midst of the severe downtrend that has occurred since the June 30 Death Cross.
I am amazed, no, astonished, that the CEO and majority shareholder of a corporation has so much spare time on his hands that he can get down 'n dirty with us self interested schmucks on media sites such as IHub, MTV, and FB to the extent that he does. As a trader and former businessman, I have been involved in the business heirarchy for some time, and I have never seen a CEO expose himself so readily to public ridicule and personal attack as Dean does, especially from individuals, like us, who are so narrowly focused on mere self enrichment and aggrandizement. Seems to me that Dean has much larger concerns on which to spend his time, not the least of which is the health of his business. I would implore Dean to resume the role of a CEO and to maintain some sense of decorum and professionalism. It is important for him to remember that if he takes care of his business, the stock will take care of itself.
So, if I understand you correctly madtig, sounds like you are saying that the stock will either go up or it will go down.
Looks like another new 90 day review period. Assuming FDA received new package on Jul 9, this one ends Oct 7.
IMGGorBust, I have been reading in past posts that there have been communications with the FDA since the Apr 5 AI submission that have reset the review period clock. I emailed Dean for verification of this, but no response. To your knowledge, is this true and, if so, when and what was the nature of this communication? TIA.
Precisely my sentiments, wiz! I thought the 90 day period ended two weeks ago. IMGGorBust, help us out here. When does this 90 day period end?
Joebari, Not to be argumentative, but you are stating the obvious. To match buyers with the sellers is exactly what the MM's job is....in other words, to make markets. There is nothing that prevents him from being either the buyer or the seller, indeed, he is mandated to buy or sell when no other match can be found in his order book. And as either buyer or seller, he, like everyone else, will seek the best price. Still, no manipulation. Thanks.
Shaka, Lacking further clarification from Joebari, let me take a shot at answering your question #19458.
When you sell stock, somebody buys it from you, and conversly, when you buy, somebody is selling it to you. When the transaction is exercised on the ask, it is an uptick and it is printed in the Time & Sales data as a buy, in green. When the transaction is exercised on the bid, it is a downtick and it is printed in the T&S as a sell, in red. So, contrary to Joebari's answer, there is no "manipulation" involved; it is simply how the markets work.
Joebari, Referencing your post #19458, you answered Shaka's question simply by saying "manipulation". As I am always somewhat skeptical of one word explanations, could you please explain in detail what you meant by that? I would like to be further enlightened. Thanks.
adama.....you're trying to get blood out of a stone. Heshe (IMGGorBB)is still trying to figure out what time it is in California.
IMGGorBust........forget bogdan. He has already proven himself to be unsubstantive, insincere, and outright fraudulant, while your track record for information and analysis (if not your predictions)on this board is unquestioned. Bogdan is just doing what all stupid people do.....digging his hole deeper. Please dont legitimize his stupidity with further responses. Its just a waste of time.
Problem is......while they're publically touting IMGG, they might be quietly pressing the "sell/short" button.
