When you sell stock, somebody buys it from you, and conversly, when you buy, somebody is selling it to you. When the transaction is exercised on the ask, it is an uptick and it is printed in the Time & Sales data as a buy, in green. When the transaction is exercised on the bid, it is a downtick and it is printed in the T&S as a sell, in red. So, contrary to Joebari's answer, there is no "manipulation" involved; it is simply how the markets work.
