volume corrected to 1.3+ myn...as to the large trade...im at a loss...it wasnt even at a price w/in todays range...its hard to think that was the russell index trade....DO WE HAVE ANY CONFIRMATION ON THE RUSSELL INDEX MOVE
thats some pretty crazy action...volume shows 2myn traded
volume bump...do we have any confirmation on the russell index move
the seller wants ninteen...the buyer has been unwilling to pay that.....YET!...a high volume print at 19 would look pretty good right now going into the weekend.....has anybody heard about the russell rebalancing yet??
i like the price action...we're going higher today...19.40 is 200 dma...it would be nice to get the initial test out of the way
l2v...im surprised you would even think of being disappointed...in every single presentation[pitch] ive ever made aout idc...i never once mentioned possible cdma2000 revenues as a source of revenue...im am astounded that we've been able to achieve the magic buck a phone for cdma2000...it tells me my buck a phone for wcdma estimate is way low....i was there when howard said it..."the street has no concept of what this means to us on the cdma2000 side"...well i must be on the sidewalk because to me thats a blowout number!!
lets put it this way...its closer than it was yesterday.....i have no specific information...but im good at listening to the winds[i think my scicilian grandfather was part cherokkee indian]!!
couple the sanyo liscence w/ PENDING JPO APPROVAL...and by the time the arb rolls around idc should have nokia doing a roberto duran...no mas liscences!!!
shorts were active in front of judges decision to unseal...they overestimated the importance of the ruling...they is trapped for now!!
there you go..when you recieve cash...youve got to account for it...this is their best guess right now...there really is only one compent that is seemingly fixed [japan cdma2000 sales..soveriegn treatment]
while i have you here...i just reread the 8k...it looks like cdma2000 sales outside of japan china and the us...are covered by "sales of 2g and 3g products" ...so they will get paid for the areas you're "concerned" about[south america canada new zealand] on an ongoing basis along w/ the rest of 2g and 3g...only japanese sales are getting sovereign treatment..lets see ...soveriegn treatment for samsung and lg in korea, and mot in the US...sounds like a plan to me
looks to me that nothing is being amortized except maybe japanese cdma2000 sales...they just said that the easiest way to account for the cdma2000 side of this deal as of today....is to amortize the payments over the term of the deal...nothing is being amortized on the gsm/wcdma side...and i think idc will report cdma2000 sales on a unit basis
i need a dozen for my big graduation/birthday/4th of july bash next week..$45 at my liquor store
mas tequila...my buddy just called me from vegas....cabo was on sale for $35...he bought them out of their inventory
feeling bold today...i actually lifted an offer!!!
look forward [wcdma]...not backward[phs/pas]...the boy has amazing powers to discourage
a dollar per phone is exactly one dollar more than what the market expected idc to be able to get for cdma2000...including you...
hard buy indication for 100k...soft buying indication for 500k...next stop 19.40
lastchoice...first call 3 at 9.10
i agree...the deal provides a framework for cdma2000 amnesty...the koreans would rather eat a plate of hot sh1t...than to pay another nickel in royalties for sales w/in korea..the bait is on the hook now
its nothing
something out from merril at 9.01 on idc..says bloomberg
the plain fact is...walkley is no longer willing to reccomend idc as a buy...until nokia is settled...so he purposefully downplays any achievements....ill tell you one thing...if he ever HAS TO reccomend idc as a buy because of a nokia settlement...its gonna be at much higher prices than this...such is life
it seems a little unfair to me...but what do i know?
how can he only raise his revenue estimates by 4myn....the incremental revenue from cdma2000 is more than that alone by itself...not to mention the potential wcdma revenue
i know of an EXTREMELY large shareholder who wishes that they would never say a thing...as he said to me...some companies can make thing happen w/ their mouth....idc cant...they should just keep it closed!!
rox...carefull...you know that because idc doesnt yet have the critical liscencing mass of qcom...we have to be carefull about disclosing SPECIFIC contract terms...when we have two hundred liscences...we can give them the old...everybody pays "the same" line of krap
your so confused...lately you sound like you had another visit from the idc boogeyman
ahh...the elusive "buck a phone" for cdma2000....looks like a good number to me!!!...its like a wcdmasundaie w/ two cherries...how much of the 20+myn were gettin from sanyo for cdma2000... do you want to credit OUR 11myn dollar INVESTMENT in tantivity w/?
i retracted my statement....they have to be carefull about exposing explicit contract terms...you know that...so on every variable...they are purposefully vague
yes mr spencer you are correct...i didnt read the allotted number of units correctly...
yes ...i think the fee is fixed for cdma2000 for the next four years...and its icing on the cake
ill take my chances w/ the dominant standard...sanyo will be a player in wcdma...understand that this means that more money comes in after 5myn credit is exhausted...i think thats fantastic...
cdma2000 is gravy for idc....and 5myn for the next four years from a bit player in cdma2000 is a lot of gravy!!
prepaid period is for 4 years for cdma 2000 and phs/pdc...prepaid credit is for 5myn gsm/wcdma
let the buyback begin!!
WAKE UP BUYERS!!!!....this agreement looks like 10myn this year
i agree....its a helluva lot more than the straight line amortization of the 27myn over 4 years....actually after rereading it appears pretty clear
i see more cash coming in as soon as they exhaust 5myn in gsm/wcdma royalties...in essence we could book the 5myn for cdma2000 this year...and add in any gsm/wcdma sales....looks like 10myn could be easy this year
this is only in regards to cdma2000...the rate for wcdma/gsm is firm...and sanyo is obligated to pay ongoing royalties as soon as 5 myn is exhausted....dont complain when you dont understand!!
