I believe Inventec is the ODM for HP for the IPAQ 610 and so it is already licensed but let's hope they sell millions!

Our next licensee....

Maybe??
Eli
Good point Jim--with this light volume, how will the share price react to that kind of major sale? I hope Harry sends us a message by holding on to all or most of those shares.
Let's see...
Regards,
Eli
Total Volume looks about 350K--Institutions were buying with the Dow up over 100--our institutional investors have stepped aside until the company delivers some new business or we get some positive development from one of the many legal venues that are ongoing.
I'm disgusted,
Eli
140K shares traded at 1:36-unbelievable EOM.
Don't have the report but--
Here's what Sidoti says on their website
BUY implies at least 25% upside over a 12-month period (from the date of coverage)
NEUTRAL denotes a stock is not likely to provide similar gains.
The appearance of our research is standard. We initiate coverage with an eight-page report that includes detailed cash flow, balance sheet and quarterly earnings projections at least six quarters beyond initiation of coverage. In conjunction with our Investor Forums, we publish supplemental publications comprised of two-page summaries of all companies presenting at these regional, client-only conventions. We also publish notes and special reports as warranted.
We provide our value-added, fee-based product exclusively to clients or potential clients. We use direct mail, First Call, Reuters and our own website to distribute our work timely and efficiently.

Good Point! eom.
Revlis--no malice intended--I was just giving another reason
Eli
How about the market is just having a bad day and we have almost 60% institutions in our stock?
Eli
I believe "SIP" stands for Session Initiation Protocol used in signalling for starting and terminating sessions.
Eli
Institutional ownership back to 57% today eom.
Mschere--Thanks for your work--can you provide a breakdown on how you got to .24. With the new revenue forecast and now less than 50 million shares outstanding; I thought the EPS for the quarter might be a little higher than your number.
Thanks,
Eli
This guy Chad Nick called news to the day again--

Spencer--actually I was referring to who generated it--at the beginning it says "SK Telecom announced" but it was released out of Seoul and King of Prussia---Eli
SEOUL, KOREA & KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SK Telecom announced it has chosen InterDigital Communications Corporation
Check that---the announcement came from both-eom.
Does it matter that the announcement came from SK Telecom and NOT Interdigital? eom.
FYI--Wibro Presentation from Samsung--

Loop--I'm not a legal mind but isn't it true that in arbitration you have a broader scope of discovery? If so, could IDCC's request for arbitration be an avenue to get insight into Nokia's dealings with others (i.e. Qualcomm) regarding patent essentiality?
Thx,
Eli
How about a new 6 year high!!
Ed - Companies like QCOm have a market cap more than 30 times that of IDCC---they have it because they have realized much of their potential. IDCC has yet to sign any of the top 3 handset providers for 3G which means there is a ton of upside and would suggest the P/E is NOT that rich (if you believe they will ultimaely sign). In fact, if you look at history, many of the bid winners of the 90's like QCOM, DELL, CSCO traded at very rich P/E's while their business was maturing and many like you said they were overpriced based on P/E.
Respectfully,
Eli
Revlis--interesting that the paper you posted has Interdigital with 4 "judged essential patents" to Qualcomms 20 "judged essential patents" so effectively 1/5 the number. IDCC gets about 1% royalty to Q's about 5%---roughly 1/5 the number.
Eli
I agree Bulldzr--Not to mention the stock took a dive the Friday afternoon before the Monday morning downgrade. Check the charts-it dove in an up market almost 2 points the trading day before his downgrade---but he's just doing his job while he and his friends scored and longs got hurt.
MHO,
Eli
Ronny--thanks for the clarification on the MFL but I still think the mode is to get away from that type of language going forward.
Eli
Because of Samsung today and the possibility of them getting it (arbitration arguement)WITHOUT a 3g license!
MO,
Eli
Count---Interdigital got rid of the MFL clause today (which was in the Nokia 3G license). IMO, no licensee will ever see that again--it was something Samsung was arbitrating over and now its a dead issue. I expect Samsung is imminent. Also remember NEC is number 1 in 3G market share to date and they didn't/don't have MFL status. IMO, Uncle Bill just realigned the royalty structure that we will pursue by ridding himself of that clause. Remember he said, it's not only about Nokia and I believe he just made a move that helped current and future licensee agreements by ridding us of Most Favored Licensee language.
MHO,
Eli
Lord have Mercy---AMEN!!eom.
Check the report from Columbine that Jim Lurgio posted tonight and it's the same read from the Ford report--it even looks exactly the same--it's boiler plate
Walldiver--check the report Columbine Capital that JIMLUR posted that I sent---It's the same boiler plate verbage and format
Eli R
To prove my point I just e-mailed a report on IDCC from "Columbine Capital" in PDF to Jim Lurgio to post --note the format and content relative to the Ford report and you decide how mich credibility to give these guys.
Eli R
Xavier--That Ford report isn't worth the paper it's on--you're right. They had a sell in January in a similar boiler plate "technical" report. In fact, those of you who are Fidelity customers, note the format on the Ford report and then look at a research report issued on IDCC on the same day in January from a research firm named ,I believe, Columbine (its at the same Fidelity site). Columbine had the same format and "technical" statistics word for word and they put a "buy" on IDCC with the same info that Ford used for a "sell". It was laughable--then came the LG signing--enough said.
Eli
Is this lack of agreement on scheduling order common?
TIA,
Eli
In the company 8K released on Jan 26th-they outline the LTCP adjustments that were made in the 4th quarter arriving at over 100% of LTCP performance. If that work was done by the January 26th 8k, then they had to know how they are treating the LG numbers that are effecting the 4th quarter or they would have waited on the 8k release until such time that they knew. Therefore, why we are not getting detail of the breakout of LG numbers? Could it be we are negotiating another large license and don't want that information released yet because it would give too much visibility to breakout of LG rates?
Well, we'll all know in a few weeks when the numbers must be revealed.
Eagle--could it be because of the new attorneys Nokia has just brought in (i.e. do they need to review/modify the scheduling order based on their strategy?)
TIA,
Eli
No mention in the release of IS-95 which is CDMAone. I guess we let them go on all 2G CDMA money to get the license going forward?
I guess I'll take it!!
Hey Jimmy,
Give me a break with the Ford report!--There's a similar report from Columbine Capital at the same Fidelity site released on the same day rating IDCC a buy. Then there's a trendline report lists it as a neutral. All the reports are a joke because they are boiler plate generated reports based off of technicals and earnings projections with absolutely no insight to what is going on. Anyone who invests based only on those types of reports would be better off betting black at roulette.
Happy New Year!
Eli
No mention of Nokia or Nokia money in the presentation unlike prior slide decks-- I think it's significant--the company is focused on 3G and its value proposition--that's the message and the reason why most of us are still here. BTW--if you were negotiating with Nokia as we speak, how would you have handled the presentation? I'm still hopeful!
Eli
OT: I agree and don't try to get through on the phone--I waited 20 minutes to speak to someone today
Good Luck,
Eli
My3S--Could the name have been Oistamo--couldn't find a "Stinson" on google for Nokia but found the following--

Thanks again for all you've done,
