Really nice volume going into the close! Good to see
Gotcha, I appreciate the candor and get a kick out of a lot of your posts, A lot of your suggestions are spot on.... I guess we will find out soon enough.... we actually going to hear from them twice in six weeks.... hopefully Givens is too busy writing up contracts and responding to RFP's..... : )
Do you have any knowledge of this or just throwing crap against the wall?
From gbb's post:

Gotta start somewhere! :)
Or.... he is getting rid of dead wood
Do you know her or did you interview her?
A typical Fish over reaction, no mention of 16 mil in booking in the Q and very little understanding of how government contracts work... give the man a chance, I heard A LOT of good on the call.... why don't you become an independent sales rep and show us all how it's done??? : )
I like a lot of your posts Fish sometimes you way over the top tho
I thought call was pretty good as well, I asked a couple of Q's and was happy with the answers. I asked about spend out on the facilities (Orlando is done, AZ is nearly done and impressive training/demo rooms are complete.
Asked about the efficiencies created by the new studio... Long answer, but will be a huge advantage for Virtra and save a lot of money over time, scenarios will be usable for next 10 years or more. Other companies scenarios will be obsolete as training transitions to headset/goggle based.
Thanks for sharing Sharp!
Lol! I saw a beautiful buck yesterday, unfortunately I was on my way to work!
Thats great to hear Fish, I'll be checking in as well
Annual Shareholder meeting is today....
Are Fish and Twister going to participate to ask the tough questions that they harp on???
Amen!
Great report weedboy! Thanks so much for this!
Cool vid!
Thanks B!
How long do you think a technology set is considered the best, or world class? How do you stay the best?
I understand, and I think most agree that sales strategy has been lacking, but don't write off tech advances and the positive effects they can have. I think the PR might be showing a company shift as well, did you notice no quote from givens??? maybe they have made the shift where Bob is more CTO and Givens is going to be leading the sales side.
good luck with the pheasants, my Dad and I along with our brits harvested many a pheasant over the years
I can speak from personal experience with 3d video capture and editing.... the editing process is by far the most time consuming piece, which makes it expensive as well. Now if this minimizes editing, and "Quickly" build a comprehensive scenario library, I think it could be really positive for margins.... Again, we do need to hear this fleshed out, but it sounds really good.
"This is a tool needed to create characters and scenarios with unparalleled realism built for the three-dimensional world of headset-based training.” We also don't know what opportunities this can open up....
hopefully we can get some answers in the next month....
Not that it necessarily means anything, but this is the longest PR I have seen from VTSI in quite some time, so, I am thinking they believe it to be a game changer
I don't drink Kool-Aid and I do know technology and govt contracting
Ok.... lets just write it off as a failure even though its going to create better margins, a better product, and makes the VR headset more attractive.
BTW, Modern round failed as a company, not vtsi
Did you even read the announcement?
Sharp, I do think this time you are over thinking it, there is going to be cost savings and time savings which ultimately leads to higher margins and more flexibility... And I think you know, being the best is point in time analysis, if your not improving, you are falling behind.... I am personally wondering if this was in part from the "paid" R&D through the lower margin military contract??? Hopefully some questions can get answered at the shareholder meeting or subsequent earnings call.
Totally agree Utah, plus it mentioned creating more realistic scenarios at a more affordable price, also i think it mentioned renting out the studio as well
gb, The Best is getting even Better!
Fish, this might explain where some of the cash was going... New corporate and production, in AZ, the Orlando demo facility, AND the new 4D content studio! Sounds like they are finally looking to expand BIG TIME.... and just maybe... Givens is going to lead a new sales force as well, that even you would be good with! They did a lot the last year while remaining profitable, not easy to do for a small company! Let's start reaping rewards!
Ok, didn't see you said Net....I don't have a big problem with that as they now have their own building and production facilities in the same place that they are not paying rent on and can take depreciation etc... And i'm betting making that move when they did had more than a little to do with IVAS/Military contracts and they were going to need more space. I'd give it a little more time to decide if it was a good decision or not.... And as far as Orlando goes, they could make many times there investment with military contracts/sub contracts over the next couple years....
Are you serious??? Where did you see we only have 6 Million in cash??? That really pisses me off!
That would be great to see! And could happen especially if Givens can get us some quick sub contracting sales on some existing military contracts. We could really shine in the 2023 recession year!
Thanks G! Keep 'em rollin in! I lost track of my abacus, but I bet we well over $11 mil of new orders in the 3rd quarter..... that we know of
Agree Fish, we just moving with the market, a lot of great stocks moving lower with no justification other than the indicies are heading down.... It going to be a GREAT buy in level at some point relatively soon for the good companies!
Annual meeting notice out!
NICE!!! That should free up a lot of funds for the boys in blue
De-escalating with a skunk???
Maybe there is another contract that someone found ; )
I did hear an interesting news piece today... Insurance companies are starting to put a lot of pressure on police forces to continue coverage (some insurers are even getting out of the business of insuring PD's), because they are having to make too many payouts due to situations being handled incorrectly. This will definitely put more pressure on PD's to get more high quality situational training in my opinion
Agree! They have 2 board positions to fill... set a good example, and imply in interviews/recruiting that it will be expected
Just showed up on my yahoo news feed:
https://news.yahoo.com/microsoft-us-army-combat-hololens-goggles-military-152855161.html
The 8/31 filing
Shouldn't that read Notice of Ineffectiveness???
Lol!
Good point fish, and thanks sharp!
Maybe we get a PR and an article or two tomorrow.... Also, we should be showing up on a lot of screeners with the PPS increase and above average volume on ANOTHER down day for the overall market
