What makes this one different than the average pond fishing play? Just curious.
Someone mentioned APCX awhile back here as another pond fishing play. Seems to be doing well. What do you see in terms of the volume/chart action there?
HLXW was a great call. What's the strategy going forward on this one in terms of an exit? Is it based on anything technical or just the pure emotions of the people trading it?
TLR - What's the story? Where is that news?
I tried to listen and had the same problem that you had. The audio got messed up when the CEO was speaking. I'd like to hear what he had to say. It's just gonna take a little time before people discover this stock and it's current and future growth. I'm gonna start trying to buy more.
ENTR, this one is interesting, but are we trying to catch a falling knife if we play it?
Nevermind, saw this but it's not the same company. Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. (NYSE:HLX) will issue a press release reporting its financial and operational results for the fourth quarter of 2010 after the market closes on Wednesday, February 23, 2011.
VSCP, thanks. I agree the company has a good story at the moment. Low O/S and float and earnings on February 24th. The CEO just presented yesterday at the BIOCEO Investor conference. His presentation can be seen here.

I think it's a long term winner, but I hate investing long term, no patience and no fun. That's a terrible mindset for a trader, I think, but I'm working on it.
WOW! That's some thorough analysis. The more I read it the more I understand. It's definitely a learning experience and I appreciate you taking the time.
By the way I'm one of those guys you mentioned that has to trade with 5k and under. Never hesitate to throw out ideas for us. I'm always willing to take $100 profit and move on. I just wanna build it up so I can trade some larger companies in the future.
Take Care
VSCP. I've recently started reading your board. I'd like to know your opinion or TA on this one. Its like a yo-yo. 2.62 - 2.79. What gives? Thanks
I think it's good. Who could make the following happen fast?
20 NEW FORMATS
"""This new agreement will allow i-Mobilize to rapidly release these titles in over 20 new formats including Palm, Blackberry, Digital and Internet TV, Zune, Android, VuNow, Boxee, WDTV, Roku, Symbian, Squeezbox and many other mobile, desktop, and tablet devices"""
It sounds like i-Mobilize gives the app to this "award winning company" in any format and then it's converted to all of these formats by this company for distribution. I assume this since they say they will save thousands in software development costs. Converting to those other formats would be a significant cost to them.
There really aren't many companies that are in a position to do this right now.
News is out.
VSCP How about it? Had a nice run and now a pullback. Low O/S and Float. I'm no good at charting but looks like it's held some support recently, maybe you can help me with that. Finally, earnings Feb, 24th. Nice short term play possibly.
That probably means the news will come out after the bell tomorrow and be worthy of a run up on Monday. Just a guess. Kind of gutsy on his part to think the price will still be on the rise Tuesday. It does give me more confidence in the largeness of the news. Do you have a link for that find?
Ok, So with a little good news and such a low share price it's not too tough to eat up 1.75B shares. Seems realistic. I'll roll the dice.
Can you tell me how a maxed out A/S makes it a play? I'm serious. I don't know how that works. Not being a jerk. Thanks.
I totally agree with you. They just need to keep doing what they're doing and grow. The updates from the blog are nice. Some companies don't give info for months. I like how they keep us up to date.
I've been following this board for a long time and I am long this stock. I don't value anything you say or have said in the past. I'm all for long term gains. I just want it steadily. I don't want daytraders to pump this stock like they did a couple weeks back. That's all. Take care MJ.
A share repurchase program would be nice to see. That would show confidence in their future. However, that would require them to start putting out money that 1) They probably don't have at this point and 2) That could be used to acquire the rights to a "game-changing" app. I guess for now we all need to be the purchasers and then maybe they can consider it if things keep moving at the current growth rate.
My only concern is that people may be getting their hopes up on the news. I don't doubt that it will be good, but I want the stock steadily rise rather than spike either way based on news.
I've been looking into several app companies. I don't see any reason why this company can't be as successful as a WZE, which was once a OTC stock and now is on the AMEX. Their price is still under .25. That would be great for MRNJ to move up to a bigger exchange. I've held MRNJ since before the daytraders messed with it and held right through it all. STVI also made a recent move from .20 to $2.50+.
I think the difference we have from both of those companies is our S/O of 360,000,000. STVI has a very small O/S and float and WZE's is about a third of ours. However at these prices and with people that believe in MRNJ and hold it long term the float could easily get eaten up in very few trading days.
Anyone have a guess what our float may be now?
WZE...A little more DD
AF, I know you took another position in WZE the other day when it looked like it would be breaking out again. It appears that earnings should come by Feb. 14th unless they file for an extension. The last quarter ended Dec 31st and they have 45 days to report. Sound right to you? What are your thoughts going forward? Good luck with the neck and back.
The company has been a leader in podcasting over the years. They've started converting those podcasts to apps which should give them more exposure and $. They have over 1000 apps now, mostly podcasts and video. They're now using iAd and in app sales to generate more revenue. They've also started to acquire the rights to other apps and app games. The recent closing of their offering should make them debt free and give them cash to acquire the rights to even more apps. I know they have their hand in other forms of business but I've been focusing on the apps since that seems to be a hot topic right now.
Here's some things I've pulled from past PR's
Nov 15 2010
In mid-2009, Wizzard Media introduced a new monetization product for its publishing client with the launch of an iPhone App. The App offers audiences access to their favorite show directly on their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, bonus content and new social communication features such as Twitter and Facebook, creating an unprecedented level of audience entertainment and a new means to monetize content. Publishers and Wizzard earn revenue through the sale of the App as well as through in-App advertisements and in-App purchases of content, upgrades and subscriptions.

Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcasting network, today announced a strategic milestone in the Company’s App roll-out plan with the availability of over 1,000 Apps for Apple and Android mobile devices now available for sale. Overall revenues for Wizzard’s App immediately increased by an average of 20% with the launch of Wizzard Media’s App for Android.
Wizzard’s In-App Purchase upgrades and promotional efforts have demonstrated impressive early success with above industry average conversion rates up to 40%. WTF with Marc Maron, the number two ranked podcast in all of iTunes (the world) and the number 162 ranked App in the very popular Entertainment category, has seen early success with his podcast App.

“We see significant growth opportunity for our podcast Apps business and with this capital raise we believe we can now accelerate the growth of our mobile media business to keep up with the rapidly changing entertainment consumption habits of consumers worldwide,” says Chris Spencer, Wizzard CEO. “This is the future consumption and monetization model for online media and Wizzard is delivering it today. As we continue to be the publishing platform of choice for the best podcast publishers we expect to continue along our path of becoming one of the top global new media powerhouses of the future. This capital, along with becoming a debt free company, allows Wizzard to make strategic acquisitions and investments in the rapidly growing mobile App industry.”
Mr. Spencer added, "This transaction, along with the conversion of all of our outstanding preferred shares to common stock and retirement of all debt, will put our balance sheet and capitalization structure in a much stronger position which should in turn help increase shareholder value significantly as our media business accelerates with the continued growth of mobile devices."
Nevermind...
It appears that ASPN was only a shell for the other two companies to merge into.
Looks good.
Tell her to go to hell and open an online account with Etrade or Ameritrade
MRNJ
MRNJ - App company
I know it had a recent run.
What stops this company from being successful?
They put out 100+ apps last month and are trying to do that each month. The apps are mostly videos repackaged as apps, but they sell. They're also working on games now too. Revenues were around $50,000 last month. $36,000 the previous month.
The company puts out a blog here: http://metatroninc.com/blog/
The O/S is high and that concerns me. Anyone know anything about this company or think it's worth my time?
Anyone have any other "app plays"? I like the sector.
Buying more now. I think it's a great story. Too bad people are afraid to dive in here. You can definitely tell that people were scared off by the posts yesterday. This thing would be running if those posts weren't made. I'm ok with the ability to buy more and take a shot.
Needs some more volume for that doesn't it?
I like the company. They seem to be expanding and it seems to be working. I Googled "Glamsmile" and was amazed by the results.
L2, thanks. New here and appreciate the updates.
What's the bid and ask?

Re: WZE DD, I read everything on the company posted by AF. I know that India has only recently gotten access to 3G. Amazon has recently announced their "App Store". Podcasting and Apps are a growing market. If the financials are good on the next earnings one would think that this company could be successful long term. I'm trying not to fall in love with their potential, but it looks good to me.
WZE???
This company looks like they're doing good things and in large numbers. How are they making their money?
