I Think you may have urged me to join as well Janet!! It was a great move dropping in here. Very little noncense and some helpful people pulling together!! Thanks for the tip (if I forgot earlier!!) - Paul
Bye Bye Drumstick - you will see your .40c very shortly. Good luck with your next investment. All others here are in for a very exciting time this summer/Fall as we begin to understand what T.O.'s "Plan B" will do for the share price overall - Paul
Reason I suggested 'getting in bed' with a condom company is, that I read yesterday, that Herpes simplex 2 is still spread 30% of the time over a long term relationship, given to breakage and surrounding areas "not protected"becomming infected. This coupled with the fact we need money to advance human trials.. it seems like the perfect fit...so to speak - thebouch
I had a shoulder that looked like that in High school football - but it was dislocated LOL Bigger interests seem to be giving this a look - Paul
glad your'e not "IN CHARGE" I want at least $5 US
We have discussed at length several possibilities here and on other bb's but I think this possibly has more to do with the recipient of that last PP as much as anything here. He/they have seen how little it takes to move this stock and may look for a quick return on investment after they push the S/P over .40 and "into the money" - just a thought barring any N/R shortly - Paul
Will be sooner than you think....APH 29.5c at 11:35 hrs - turning to enthusiastic buying IMO - Little resistance set up going forward at this time--Paul
I am hopful that T.O.'s stratagy will be to keep releasing smaller n/r's with less and less time between them to "gather " a multitude of investor's eyes before letting go with a couple of company making N/Rs. This could be done easily in spite of what he claims as "never sitting on news" -Paul
You're begining to waffle D.S LOLO -thebouch
A J.V. with a company who has purchased the rights to use T36r would give Alda the money required to go forward with 2nd stage human trials & thus onward and upward to higher priced applications. Won't matter by then though, you will be out by .40c (Remember??) - thebouch
My vision here is one of a joint venture with a major condom manufacture like Trojan. Synergisticaly the two companies could create the most effective type of profalactic in the market anywhere in the world. Several years in the test stage required here to be introduced internally to humans & also to observe the effects long term if any, that T63r may have on 'rubber' - Sure T.O. has this possibilty in his sights and may already be testing effects on condoms...I know I would be if I were him (cheap to test) This new expanded US patent will come in handy over the course of the next 2-5 years IMO !! - Paul
I'm not sure what is bringing Scott to Toronto the week of the 22nd but he asked me to call him on the 17th or 18th to set up a meeting time. I'll ask then if it is Alda that has him coming here and if any others will attend. - Paul
I spoke to Scott the other day for about 1/2 hr and got some further insight into the workings of the company and feel quite positive going forward. Have a meeting with him in about three weeks to discuss Alda at length with a few of my buddies that are fairly large investors. He assures me that there is indeed a back up plan now that the manf. purchace has been aborted. Since our discussion a couple of days ago we now have some new money with a small pp at .20c however with favourable terms going forward. T.O. has always demanded any PP particapant to buy into the market an equal number of shares to support the stock. If you are indeed anxious to get out the oppertunity may come over the next week or two. Good luck with what ever you decide to do. - Paul
Been calling for a share holders letter for 6 months now- way over due IMHO. Enjoy the 4rth Surf - thebouch
Do you really think that a CEO with that many letters after his name is stupid enough not to have a "Plan B"? I personally am unhappy only with the arogance shown yesterday with no explanation... I own this company and deserve to be treated as someone who has lent them my $54K not some invisible liability. I personnaly will wait till the other shoe drops before desciding which way to head, there WILL BE some direction announced shortly... it should have happened yesterday or this morning at the latest - Paul
Alcohol based product - not un-like any other hand sanitizer - I read that over a year ago in an annual report. Not to worry - Paul
I'M just as 'Bummed out' as the next guy on this waisted three months... I will be a lot less patient with T.O. if he fails to come out with a detailed explanation for this bail. Let us know if it was the company to be aquired/thier DD on Alda/ share dilution/problem getting financing thru Eugene. Can't believe it was the lack of share price/dilution as T.O. has made no public attempt to move the share price. O.K Dr T let us know the reason & quickly !! - thebouch
Not trying to meddle in your investments Drumstick, but when I find myself in a less than optomistic position in a company I look for oppertunity to lower my cost-per-share average. This must of course be done without continualy throwing "Good money after bad" Not saying this works for everyone mind you. Concider seperating your position into two portions. A long term "Core" position, and a short term trading position designed on taking advantage of the Pops & drops that we all know too well are part of this story. That is why it is important to learn from the history of the APH share movement. Even though this board is very quiet at this point there are still people here that understand the trading channels, Fibs ect. and react to these tech indicators. Surf is more in tuned to them then I am but he has shared his perspective in the past.It does not have to be an 'all in - all out senerio' at .40c. Bottom line here is, if you can lower your cost per share in Alda I'm sure you will have much more patience and be around for the end results down the road. If you get caught with Alda suddenly "Going to the Moon" and you are 1/3 out at the time, you will still have a large enough position that you won't feel screwed if it hits $1.00 share. - Just my 2c worth - Good luck lad -HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL WHO QUALIFY!!! Paul
There were two houses that sold blocks yesterday at basicaly the same time. One sold 100K at the bid, then 8 minutes later a second house hit the bid for 50K no finesse used here to maintain the share price (so that makes me beleive that they don't have a whole lot more to divest themselves of)- Could be the same shareholder, who knows for sure. The suggestion that it was due to the company pulling out of the proposed purchase of the manufacturing company is nothing but wild speculation. What we saw transpire was nothing more than a long term investor getting frustrated with the lack of news and throwing his $35K at perhaps some other investment he/she believes is about to move better.Dr. T.O caught vertually everyone flat footed with the original N/R about the purchase & I'd bet a weeks salery that next to no one knows what the decision that Alda is making regarding the purchase is for sure. What I will say though, is that we should have some kind of report from the company shortly as the comany's DD was to be concluded by "the end of June". It may be then that we find out what the terms of the purchase will be regarding the share dilution vrs. the possibilty of taking on mostly long term debt.(At these S/P I much prefer this scenerio!!!)When I get somewhat depressed looking at the current S/P (& re-reading Drumstick's post LOL) I try and put myself in T.O's place. Building a company with unique & needed products, it would be very tempting to, in essence, 'sell the company's future' through massive dilution of shares, in order to expidite the process. If he wanted to just get the product on the shelves...He could float a massive PP at .25c raise the $20 million required to produce/market/advertise/hire sales dept./pay off the super chains for thier shelf space. What would this do to the common share-holder? We would then have a share float of around 140,000,000 shares (Do the math people!) If the company had a float like that the chances of making any REAL increase in share valuation would be next to impossible.! I may not be pleased with the current share price but because I took on this investment with a TRUE five year window, I can cut Dr T the slack here & give him the time required to build this Pharma. into what I think can be a once-in-a-lifetime oppertunity as an investor. The longer the share price 'drags' on at these levels, the greater the possibilty that others will not hang in here and wait for the outcome. I personally know of 17 people who own this stock, with a total of just over 1 million shares. There are the odd ones who flip it back & forth taking proffits here and there - thats great. However the great majority of the people I know have held strong since day 1 because they LOVE the story & the POSSIBILITY of a huge payday. The only investor I know of that dumped any real shares was a buddy of mine who reduced his holdings from 150K to 110K on Thursday. The reason he sold.. he wanted to put the money into RIM before their next numbers came out. Everyone has their own reasons for buying and selling. No one is right or wrong but don't read into a block of APH being sold as the begining of the next apocalipse. thebouch
With yesterday's advance on better than average volume I would think .30c will be broken on about 15k at around 9:32 hrs - LOL - Paul
Drumstick...get your finger on the sell button. It won't be much longer (.40) LOL !
Looks like Raymond James got a little too excited with the WHO level 6 announcment.Bought 80K at ask.(Ouch!) We really need some kind of N/R now to allow Drumstick to get the heck out of here !!! (.40c) - thebouch
Alda will continue to feel the downward pressure here until they can come out with something of some value.(Where is our Diane Mann after three weeks on the job?) - Paul
Not at all D.S - I wish you all the luck possible. I am on a five year plan & only 2 into it! I bought at .20 and at .30 am up 50% in just two years. Not a bad return when looking at the investment markets overall. - Quite happy with the company building going on and beleive that some day we will be a house-hold name in an industry that I see as a growth industry. Hope we achieve your self imposed target soon, as I feel it needs to happen quickly if we are to avoid share dillution in buying the manufacturing company in August.- Paul
unfortunatly I don't know the answer to either of those questions.- We are under some real pressure here to day !! - Paul
I have not checked...so for what it's worth...I think the options about to expire are priced at .12 - .30 FWIW. Also I agree that the market for APH seems to be held up while the option questions get sorted out. Some insiders may need cash to aquire future PP comming to pay for the purchase of the manufacturing facility. (This PP may be coupled with attractive warrents !!) One N/R of any real consequence should wipe out this hurdle & we know they didn't hire Diane Mann just for her looks !! LOL - Paul
I like the direction we are going here as a company. Every week or so Dr T finds another piece of the puzzle and is IMO building company momo. With todays N/R we hire a Marketing/Communication/Sales specialist to take over the upcomming promo & assist in getting the Alda name out there. Not to be lost in the N/R was the confirmation that APH has been in a test market, the rumour being in Five Shoppers Drug Mart stores in the Richmond B.C. area. (For those US readers perhaps unfamiliar with the name, this is a BIG chain)Like to believe that there will be a deal with them at least regionaly soon. This I feel, will have the impact on investors many were looking for when the anouncement came last week about Esthetics Plus Retailers. Even though the S/P is still weak, the company is getting stronger & stronger & IMO the S/P will follow. - Paul
What the heck do you think we were wittnessing this AM ? At times it looked like very poorly hidden 'wash trading'! - Paul
I agree Alda must step up thier company profile, but where I disagree is the timeframe. I think we will be just as well served by a slower more grass roots approach that preserves capital yet still yields results over time. - PS great to see you back where you belong !! - Paul
It is, what it is...perhaps a far-too-often used phrase these days, but how I see the latest developments with our company here. From my very first posts nearly two years ago I declared myself more of a gambler than an investor. Durring those early posts I also said quite often that this was for me a five year gamble on a little known micro-pharma. With just over three years left on my self-imposed timetable I could not be happier with where this company is today, given the hurricaine force economic storm we have endurred. Dr T.O. has built this entity into a serious investment going forward. All I heard on the majority of BB's I read was how stupid I was investing in a company with little or no sales or revenue stream. This CEO has now brought us to the point where we will attract the serious investor. The revenue stream is small but will grow quickly in my opion as his distribution network matures. ALL WITHOUT DILUTION of any real consequence. Most people with very short investment horizons are once again disappointed at the lack of size in the distributors. Can someone out there tell me how we were going to fill all the Shoppers Drug, London drug, Costcos Cruise lines, Hospitals, & Dr's offices with product & launch a nation wide promotion campain with $2m in our account? Once again TO is launching our productline slowly but with quick return on inventory. I for one aplaude him for sticking to his plan & not changing course due to investor shortsightedness - Paul
Now we are really in trouble....T.O. has been reading drumsticks posts !!!! LOL,LOL,LOL
I agree, once we get the CIBC seller out of the way we MAY see a bit of a green light here. (Sorry Drumstick!! LOL) CIBC accounted for virtually all of the selling yesterday & someone looks to be in a bit of an unnessasary hurry to sell 17,500 at or around the opening bell - Paul
I like it best when he complains as stock goes up !!!
Drumstick...I wont try to tell you how to get through this with your sanity intact....However... Basicaly you have to forget the way Alda's shareprice reacted on the way up last time. It was a different situation than the one we are trying to profit in today. You know that !! You have posted with an understanding of current market conditions in several of your posts. What you have to concentrate on now is the "New Alda in this New market environment". Take the S/P at the low of .06c and chart it going forward from that point as if you had just bought into the APH story at that date. With a couple of minor N/R's and some solid buying at certain values we were able to elevate our s/p to the midteens. Another N/R and more buying back in by some of the faithful & we consolidated APH in the low 20s. As time went buy the sellers dried up and we edged slowly up to the high 20s and then the H1N1. We took off from that point on over two million shares that week & hit a new mid term high of .48 before consolidating around the .36c mark. This was all done in relativly short time frame. We went from a low of .06c to a high of .48 in 4-5 months. Do you think for a New York minute that if you had bought for the first time at .06c this year and sold out at .48 this month for a SEVEN bagger , that you would still be whinning!!! Give it a rest lad. It will take time to recover from your bad trade of a year ago. We are going in the right direction. Maybe just not at a pace that you like.-Paul
Sounds encouraging SurinNj We will need a positive N/R shortly if we are to keep our present S/P from eroding any further. This IMO should be followed real closly by the long awaited "State of the company" address to start our momo.
Intesting purchace by TD - They have been a constant buyer over the last several weeks & attempted a runup in share price at least twice that I saw. Maybe someone on the board could identify some reason for a purchace like this. TD could easily have bought that number of shares cheaper in 1 or two boardlots if that is all they wanted !!! - Could there be some benifit to clearing up all those odd lots? Some things just make you go HHHMMMNNN in the middle of the night SurfinNJ!!!! - Paul
My window is a very short term - 1-2 weeks also - Paul
You are a far better crystal ball gazer than am I Surf.... but I have my rose coloured glasses on again (That could be dangerous LOL) 1) I see continue news coverage of a worsening problem ie. Flu 2) I see a major promo starting in days durring ODA convention 3) T.O. has said right after convention we start to see campaign to inform public of all seven of our products. 4) Time is of the essence here with the Aug 31 deadline looming & IMHO T.O. will be aiming at a buck/share here for the PP & there is little time to allow for many retracments here. - Paul
Nice little blurb in the NY Post today - eyes will start to open, luckily we got the inside scoop on this early. Can't stomach stockhouse any longer so lets keep our board informative & respectful - We go north again today people - Hang on Drumstick - LOL - Paul
Dear SurfinNj: Your tickets are ready for the cheap holiday you requested to MEXICO CITY...Have a great trip. signed "Fly By Night Tours" - LOL - Paul
