On a more positive note..although we haven't gone up we haven't really gone down either,knock on wood,while the DOW has plunged almost 1000 pts over the last week and a half...sometimes boring is good..can you imagine the house of pain for those people that are stuck in the financials or retailers and that bought on margin are in...I think at this point considering what COULD be just around the corner and the fact that this stock has had no run at all from which to take profits from..it's not all that bad of a place to be right now.....

I think that a lot of what some people misconstrue here as bashing is more of a call to arms for the companies involved to quit effing around and give us some straight up info so we're not reduced to continously speculating on future events and rehashing old ones...we need SOMETHING we can hang our hat on and say yeah we got that going for us...that one is in the bag....

I doubt that IA is of any concern to the Kentucky legislature but those sound like good names to contact for other concerns like when exactly is the funding for the CTL plant going to be decided upon....I contacted the Kentucky energy dept. about that a few weeks ago and just got the vague reply of within the upcoming months....

of course....we've been through this terminology thing a 1000 times..how about proposed tender offer then....

that's the problem...Herda isn't coming out and calling BS on the deal..so regadless of whatever we think of this nondeal deal..NSOL still seems to be acknowledging it as a deal..If they would just come out and say forget about it then we could move on and stop the never ending dissapointment selling that happens when the next week happens and there's no PR.....

No kidding at some point Larry gotta put up or shut up...our fall from that .50 level to where we're at now is probably directly tied to the failure of this T/O buisiness to materialize...but hey not a bad close .175 on some decent buys not one of those sneak in a 100 shr buys with 1 min to go.

It was a very good presentation...I just can't imagine with energy prices being what they are that this plant is not going to get the green light...the time to act on alt/fuels was years ago now that the disaster is here they simply have to react...the choice of doing nothing is now gone....ps..SYNM here at 1.72 looks good for a quick trade....

Stock Trading Robot at American Bulls.com has NSOL as a confirmed buy...going with the robot on this one...has had at either a hold or sell the last 2 weeks and just changed a day ago.

nice jump there a minute ago from .155 to .18....just bought another 13k at .16....I think july and august should be good months for this stock...IA I'm not so sure about but funding for the KY plant should happen....now that I look at my screen again somebody just did another sale at .155 but at least they pulled up the bid to .16...there is not going to be any drop down to .11...trust me just this one time and never again....

Normally you get more volatility on the day of a Fed decision on interest rates...200 pt up and down moves...but I think we'll be ok where we're at right now because the bids are finally starting to build up under the ask price so we have a pretty nice cushion for the time being as long as they don't disappear...a lot of times this stock will just fly under the radar when the market is making huge moves....how many times have you seen this do nothing when the market goes up or down 200 pts?

Wow..that was a really boring trade today....I thought there might be something in the works for today but it just didn't materialize...but hey sometimes boring is good...I,m sure with the fed tommorow things will get more interesting...

It's not about that message from Herda or a PR. Should know by monday/tuesday one way or the other. I had to up my position today which I really didn't want to do going into a Fed meeting...but could be some new $ incoming. Emphasis on could.

According to monkeybear Herda said that he could not add any additional comments on the IA deal other than what has been publicly stated. They are as confused as we are about the current pps of the stock. The recent shares issued to DB are restricted and he does not think she is selling her unrestricted shares...he says that he certainly is not selling his. They are continuing to lobby Kentucky for more money and if the buyout does not come they will continue on without them. Herda said he is prohibitted by SEC regulations from making comments on negotiations or progress until a formal TO is filed. He also said it is up to shareholders what happens in the long run.

Cramer talking about clean coal right now...suggesting FWLT and McDermott as the best way to play the space..says MDR has the best tech for cleaning up coal with their scubbers for reducing co2 emmissions...reducing emmissions by 12 to 15%...super critical boilers made by MDR are another emmission reducer..plus MDR has the offshore drilling angle to it..

It was late friday afternoon when the stock started it's run up which is a little suspicious in and of itself. It could've been someone trying to create a fakeout move to pull in buyers into thinking that an announcement or PR was in the works for today. Kind of like that move before the last PR we got from Larry. No anouncement today so the stock is giving back a bit. If you were watching the trades on friday the bids followed the asking price right up until the last hour...and then they all disappeared back to .16 It was like they chased the buyer up a ladder to the roof and once he was at the top they all went back down and yanked the ladder away. Probably the buyers and sellers will split the difference and close her at .175 today.

Emphasis??? The more posts you have on a board the more attention you draw to the stock. There are people who get drawn into stocks by the amount of posting activity going on.

Indeed...if the plant performs as expected it's virtually an emmission free operation....I suppose pumping the CO2 underground in caves is ok unless you happen to be a caveman living underground...personally even though I am very pro-environment I think this whole cap-n-trade issue is more about some people making a whole bunch of money than protecting the environment...you don't hear the same crowd making the same noise when it comes to clean water..ie pollution and putting flouride <rat poison> into our clean water..there are entire 100 square mile areas of different parts of the ocean that are considered dead zones..because of all the plastic and toxic waste that have been accumulated in them...

Meanwhile.....back at the ranch......now that I've gotten the vitriol and venom out of my system.. and can post more "rationally".. but what's a message board without a couple good catfights...thx for the backup Ari...another thing I found of particular interest in the report is the containment of carbon emmisions in this whole process and this is not just a "green" thing. It will contribute big time to the bottomline in the long run. The cap/trade carbon emmissions tax is looming there in the backround like a monster in the closet and it will happen and when it does the companies that are able to most competently solve this problem are going to be the winners in the long run and the KFA/FFI plant really has gone out of the way to pay particular attention to these issues from the close location of plants to mines reducing transportation emmissions to the recycling of emmited heat from the conversion process which will make them a net exporter of power back back to the grid instead of a consumer. The end product will contain less than 1 part per million of sulfur..can't get much cleaner coal than that...
