Agreed. Fortunately for Wave shareholders the magnititude and quantity of current breaches has expedited the day of reckoning for Wave. One way or the other, the "wave" of chronic business execution anticipointment will come to an end. As stated previously, if we do not have a $15 Qtr within the next 6 months this company is a failure and SKS will be looking for shareholders to fund a new business model.
The current environment warrants a minimum 2-3 new accounts per qtr. We have a data security crisis at hand, more name recognition (from recent account capture and more presentations), more salespeople, etc.... This should be far from a linear acceleration. EVERYTHING is aligning. No more excuses. Time to get off of the fence.
"Talk about "old Chestnuts", the oldest "Chestnut" around here is an expectation of Wave being "on the verge". I've seen posts from as far back as 2004 predicting profitability was one quarter away. "
Same people. Some are in love with the tech. Some are in love with the company mgmt. Some love to pump, dump, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, in a concerted fashion ..........
Greetings XP57,
Bumming around Maui for a coupla weeks so no time (ok, inclination) to respond to some of the gibberish around here.
So if I were a company storing PIV out there (and who doesn't) I would be asking the integrators/OEM's "so what we currently use is clearly insufficient. What/Who do you use?". Unfortunately, virtually none of them can say "I use TPM's and SED's managed by xxxxx s/w company". Now why is that?
Not enough of them? (we have reached the saturation point)
Not enough knowledge? (150 TCG companies have been members of the TCG for years. How many of them are using the tech? More than a decade of road shows aroung the world and NSA adoption). There lies the conundrum.
Data raiding and hacktavism rampant. We are at the inflection point which is going to prove this tech over the next 6 months. If the prospective customers are not knocking down our door right now, it wont't ever happen. We are past the point of "prospective opportunities" and empty pipeline. In this market we should easily be able to sell this tech now - whether it works or not. (Yes, my defintion of sales is selling something to the customer that they don't really need). If we do not have a $15mm quarter by year's end, this tech is a bust and SKS will be seeking more shareholder money to fund the next business model.
Regardless, SKS' ponies will continue to receive their pedicures til the day they arrive at the glue factory - and something is very wrong with that picture. But not many here want to talk about that. And that picture is equally corrupt.
Enjoy the weekend. Molokini and the Blue Course beckon.....
Aloha
SL,
1) I appreciate your posts as much as anyone on this board. My opinion - you know more about the tech involved here than anyone. Thank you for posting.
2) In fact so much #1 above that I sometimes question if people some here either a)truly grasp what you say and blindly think/chant "everything is great again" (what happens when you are emotionally attached to this company, yes company, not stock)or purposely say "everything is great again" for their own manipulation and fiduciary gain.
3) If I'm not mistaken, the "vanilla" CSP was/is free. I don't know and does anyone here truly "know" if any their "CAC-customized" CSP is NOT free? Maybe it was what the gov't paid for under ther past services contract but my goal being an investor is to find out what bearing this has on the FUTURE WAVX SP.
4) Many here - including myself but apparently not nearly as much as others , were less than pleased with the Q4 release. I won't regurgitate all of the many comments made but they were extreme. Take another look. To see it reverse so quickly to such a point of optimism based on what you had pointed outseems quite a bit premature. Did what you say add value? Of course, as it always does. Should it have caused such a turn-around in people posts? Hardly. Perhaps I guess what I'm saying is that I too am tired of people overtly expressing over-optimism for reasons previously described?
5) WAVX clearly cannot cure all of the IA industry's woes as many folks here seem to think or at least claim to think. But there are areas where they can truly be beneficial now, yet the traction is perplexingly minimal thus far. I don't buy into the stealth bologna and WAVE has been to so many shows, demos, conferences, bar mitzvahs, barn dances, etc... over the many years I can no longer buy the "wave who?" argument. If we can't sell the simpler produts now which currently answers the market's mail, I have serious concerns about they are going to execute later. Why aren't more of the TCG members eating their own dogfood? I am "in the chain" so to speak and am not seeing it.
In summary, your detailed tech here is unrivaled. My response was not directed at you and I can understand why you are reluctant to post as much. It was the others' responses which I found so irritating. G'day and good luck to you as well sir.
RIC: ExPat - enjoy your posts very much. We have sorta similar backgrounds. And your periodically challenging the status quo on this board spreads the burden for the very very few of us on this board who have done so for so long and paid the price (allowed 1 post per day which actually has been a blessing 99.9% of the time).
Hoping everyone had a great long weekend. Cheers!
OK, so I guess my question wasn't so easy after all. Nobody knows how exactly the CSP/TPM machine/card authentication methodology will bring dollars into Wave's coffers??? I like that it enables the TPM but where oh where does Wave monitize this thing?
How quickly we turned from bashing Wave's BoD and saying whatever Wave has won't produce significant revenue (if ever) until years from now (lighting up the network) to things are great again because SL said so (but no one can say exactly how this will help us present investors?)
I really like the new closed external hardware interface and can now say we have everything our primary competitors have and more. I'm sure this helped swing some WinMagic employees (and customers) our way. However, just seeking clarity (not Koolaid) on all fronts. How will the TPM/CSP/CAC interplay generate direct sales for Wave as-it-is-described ? Or is this another "more TPM's can only mean good things for Wave" eventually - maybe???
TIA A happy Holliday to all. Thank you my military brothers and sisters.
TINFM
OK, so how does this ring the $$$ register? Does the TPM require management SW? I believe we've been giving the CSP away, correct? Who will jump on this easy question first? :)
Recognizing China as "having greating potential opportunity" is fully in sync with SKS's modus operandi. Everything and everybody (twice over) as being in the imminent tremendous opportunity pipeline.
And let's not forget that the military (and its contractors) has been performing key management in many different modes for quite sometime now.
Does no good here. Snackman can get you the email address or telephone # so you can ensure he gets your message if you like. Still won't do any good (I say that as usually when I do say something it comes round to bite me so I'm using it quite timely. However it would be merely coincidental - already in the works - certainly not because SKS gives a hoot about shareholders who keep his company in operation. He's already dismissed that theory many many years ago quite to the contrary).
TKC: Isn't it nice to be able to day such things and not get banned and mugged by the SKS Preatorean Guard! Yes you can be long AND criticize the regime when they are doing a terrible job. Kinda like criticizing your kids. You still believe in them (until you have ultimately have them incarcerated :?) ).
EP57,
I am limitied to 1 post per day (from days of old when I simply asked the same valid questions you and many others are asking today) but need to use it to respond to your good posts.
I am holding more shares than I ever have as I still believe that this stock may go incendiary. However, it has been much too long in development ( I say nonesense to all the people making excuses)and I can feel first-mover advantage will begin slipping away very soon of we do not move quickly now. Sure we keep our ERAS and SED position but the concept I bought into initially I beleive has become diluted. Wave is good at moving from one failed opportunity to another and I understand it takes many attempts to finally hit the mark. They more or less have succeeded with SED/ERAS but not to the financial reward I had expected with their other forays. But this area alone may sufficently fill the coffers while nuturing other concepts to fruition (if the family doesn't empty the coffers first). They are certainly now (and have been) unjustifiably over-paid. Not even close to being commensurate with corporate success. I have been voting a resounding no with my shares each year for a large # of years and will continue to do so.
As for the BoD, it's even worse. No accountability for their inactions (what the heck are they providing? at this glacial pace they have not provided any value to the company or shareholders whatsoever) however they are providing plenty of value to the Spragues by allowing them such meritless increases. I say this is the old saga epitomzing the "I scratch your back and you scratch mine" BoD debacle. Some new bllod needs to be brought on and some of the current board retired. No one from this investment board should be on the WAVX board and certainly no one from this board should even have the position of making any recommendations to same. This may be the only way this company can survive without either being acquired or reviewd by the SEC.
PS Don't beleive the "long wavoids" on this board. They have been trading and shorting this stock like there is no tomorrow and have benefitted handsomely from it. Thing is, I feel if we don't get true governance very soon, there may not be any tomorrow.
NSTIC WG
Hey SKS,
Perhap you can recommend the TCG WG structure as a template (with perhaps some of the same people chairing ??!! :)
http://www.nist.gov/itl/nstic-workshop-june2011.cfm
What are you talking about??!! Our crack sleeping over-paid geriatric BoD with all of those deep established gov't connections have more than paved the way for SED's with their uber global marketing blitz.....errrrr, ummmmmmmhhh, cough, cough, didn't they???
HOLEY MOLEY!!!!! (what does it mean?)
Not a big contract but a big fish in our competition's backyard. I see this as further validation as to the value and utility of not only ERAS but TPM's and expect many bigger contracts coming in rapid succession. When that happens, the shorts will be blown out (literally and figuratively). Come on SKS - shows us some contracts!
The longs aren't going anywhere really slowly either..........
I would say familial ties but that is it. NSI has done NOTHING for this stock. Their connection is HISTORY just like any connections our BoD may have once had many many moons ago. Please. No more connect-the-dots-to-the-1800's type posts like Tsunami. I'm hoping this stock's better days are ahead of it and not behind it. Some of the links to the past perhaps/maybe/if-only/in-the right light/from-this-angle/with-these-colored glasses dots are truly sadly comical.
Come on Wave! Where are all of those "mega- opportunities" that were busting down our door if they could just build the HW fast enough??!! We have product but cannot sell it. Get someone in there that can sell a hair-piece to Blagojovich!!!!(sp)

I like it. Small cutting edge company that knows the ever-growing perceived value customers have on the their vendor's IT security.
Do we have financial evidence (unaccounted revenue streams) of clear captured anonymous customers? And if so, to what amount? Seems are financial accounting isn't missing too much. Please clarify. Thanks.
thanks for the reply to my tongue-in-cheek assumption. I am in full agreement with assessment/ranking and also believe one more venerable account further entrenches Wave in pseudo-legitimacy.
If I'm not mistaken, anything over 50 on your optimismometer is bullish, correct? ;)
Jermart,
And what is that "other" risk? Thanks.
Also a chance of my hitting the Lotto tonight since I bought a ticket.
and let's not forget that the gov't is looking to stimulate competition and is seeking to support small businesses wherever possible.
Mac OS X's 10.6 "Snow Leopard" Cryptographic Module is now FIPS 140-2 certified.
WD, where are you getting this info from? TIA.
I say they stole about $1 trillion in IP therefore we get to deduct that from what we owe them in bonds. We now owe them $37,014.06
Agreed. No to many commercial customers requiring a combined system high/low.
Very nice validation of not only the HAP concept but also of Wave's IP playing a prominent role. Let the adoption begin.........
blah blah blah
Interesting article on SSD/HDD - Encryption and key destruction works best for safety....

Wasn't this Syed characater generating various whitepapers relative to TPM's some 5 years back? The name sounds familiar.
Thanks. Perhaps someone will intiate coverage...hopefully with a strong buy or outperform.
Graet news, I think. What was it before?? TIA.
Let's see if Captain Steve's presentation today will get some folks buying through the course of this week.
is that an 11 month cup?
So far we know that only one of them using TC.
As previously stated, this announcement (recognized value and ROI) was most likely the last phase of pilot (validation) after which an analysis of alternatives was certainly performed. Each one of these types of announcements makes prospective clients ears perk up and say to themselves "another party just proofed this out and I can save $$$ for that part of the implementation. It's much safer to move ahead now." That makes Wave's future look that much brighter as it likely foretells greater traction. That "buzz" moves SP's.
I would suspect a couple more conracts should put us in the $6 SP range (predicated on size of he contracts of course)?
