Nice pop in volume. That's unusual for mid-day.
Maybe the MMs have some more large blocks to trade at these levels...
Right on PRS_Hope!!!!
There's a story behind those big trades and I'm sure we'll see what it was all about shortly.
Han,
We know from prior PRs that the WWTBAM show is 90 minutes long. Based on the schedule you listed in your post (#12573):
The scheduled time block for the Saturday show is 115 minutes.
The scheduled time block for the Sunday show (re-run) is 110 minutes.
So ad minutes for each Saturday total 25 minutes (115-90=25) and ad minutes for each Sunday total 20 minutes (110-90=20).
Based on this info, what is the range of possible ad revenue based on AAGH's cut of about 40%?
Also, crouchingdragon says WWTBAM also has audience participation with cellphone/text messaging as an additional revenue source. (Post #12560)
Crouchingdragon said cellphone/text messaging revenue was 15 million Yuan ($2 million US) for the final show of Supergirl. Although that's probably not an accurate representation of revenue for the average WWTBAM show, that would still be an astounding supplemental revenue source even if it was a tenth of that amount! What's your thoughts?
Well, I still think there are too many unknowns to put an exact price on this stock, but I'm sure we'll all be real happy with the price once we get some figures from the company. Personally, I'm happy to wait until the next quarterly for guidance (six more weeks by my estimate), but I wouldn't complain if we got a PR earlier than that!
At least I think we can all agree that this stock is worth much more than .21, especially since there was inside buys of this penny stock today totaling about a million bucks! That blows my mind!! For what it's worth, I'm going to sleep well tonight with that in mind... despite all the blood in the streets this week.
Have a good evening everyone. GO AAGH!!
Rubellite,
Have we confirmed that there is a second or repeat of the show on Sundays? If so, we would have to multiple your number by 104 and not 52 for the estimated annual revenue. And there is no way of knowing if the ad rates might be cheaper for the Sunday re-run. I would guess that is the case. Also, I wonder what kind of revenue WWTBAM will pull from the cellphone/text messaging, if we can confirm that?
Geez, we need a PR...
That's incredible news! So there is cellphone / text message revenue for WWTBAM on top of advertisement revenue!!?? That's awesome! GO AAGH!! This stock is going to fly if we can confirm that.
Lucky,
I had the same experience as you. I bought shares in small blocks all day in the .20-.225 range at the "ask" without restriction. Even then, it still took 5-10 minutes to complete these trades. I think we'll be green tomorrow, IMHO.
Zaq,
The only thing I can think of is that they have more blocks of insider trades and they can't get the stock low enough to execute them because demand for the stock at these prices is too high.
I know its frustrating, but read between the lines. No one arranging for such purchases are going to invest that much money in a penny stock unless they know it will make them a fortune...
Thanks Gene.
FYI, I cut and paste those two trades from the L2 off the www.otcbb.com website. I checked it again and now that other trade of zero shares is gone. Weird.
What's with these strange trades on the L2? Anyone know?
z 0.20 10000 OBB 14:31:36
0.20 0 OBB 14:30:56
I got some more at .21, Lucky. However, it took them awhile to fill the order, even though it was at the "ask".
And another thing regarding this big inside trade today... NO ONE IS GOING TO SPEND OVER A MILLION DOLLARS ON A LOSER STOCK!!!! Enough said... GO AAGH!!!
Maybe it's just me, but it looks like they are trying it again.
It looks like they've held off any new updates on the show so they could drive down the price to complete the inside trades. Now assuming they don't need to complete any more inside trades, I'd hazard to guess some positive PRs are waiting in the wings. Either way, this stock will be green for the next few days, if not EOD, IMO. If you look at the charts, we're poised for a nice run.
Great to hear you got some cheapies, Lucky.
I can't wait to see the revenue figures! This stock is going to pay off huge for us!
Just so you guys know, I attempted to buy over the ask and even chased the ask from .20 to .225 this morning. It was like pulling teeth to get them to sell to me. The manipulation over the past few days is obvious. Now we know they took this thing down artificially to close those big trades. We are in for a great ride fellas!!! Fasten your seatbelts. Go AAGH!!!
Possible companies to advertise on WWTBAM!?
I located this list of companies that Ogilvy has a longstanding working relationship in China. This list was prominently displayed on their Chinese website.
http://www.ogilvy.com.cn/our_work/index.html
As most of you know, Ogilvy is handling the advertising for WWTBAM. If you can't open the link, the list includes IBM, Motorola, China Mobile, KFC, Bright Dairy, BJC, China Great Wall Wine, Semir, BP, Airbus, British Council, Audi, Volkswagen, Li Qun, eBay, and LG.
It will be interesting to see what additional facts we hear about the show in the coming weeks. Go AAGH!
Lucky/Hep-
As you both know, I've been following this one for awhile as well. We know to have patience with Mak when it comes to PRs. In fact, I was surprised we even got a PR this week. I figured we would have to wait until after the show's broadcast. On that note, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't hear anything until the 10Q, but I hope to be pleasantly surprised early next week with an update on the success of show or other news. What we do know is that this company has the potential to cut all kinds of other PRC media deals now that they have proven their ability to deliver in the Chinese market.
Either way, I'm still holding all my shares and wouldn't dream of dumping them as I anticipate great things on the horizon! (e.g., new shows, Olympics, etc.). IMO, this company is going to blow our minds in the coming weeks and several will regret their early exit.
However, I do want to extend my congrats to everyone else who cashed out and made a profit on this one. That's what we're all here to do anyway. Even if that means AAGH veterans like Lucky, Hep, and I get a bigger payday than you all! (I couldn't resist!)
Everyone have a great weekend and...
...one more day until WWTBAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm all in and haven't blinked either. We are bound to get some news next week on the success of the show. There is still plenty of upside in the short term, IMO.
Nice trade block of 158k shares
I added more at .285 today as well. In my opinion, this is the last opportunity to buy before it flies on Friday and Monday. GLTA
Two more days until WWTBAM!!!!
It's interesting looking at the charts for AAGH. It seems like the retracements are getting shorter and shallower as time moves on. This stock is maturing and holding higher levels with less volatility, IMO.
Well, it is a shut down of the "talent shows" as it relates to competition with WWTBAM in that they can't broadcast during "prime time", approx. 7-10pm. WWTBAM will broadcast at around 8pm.
Wow! Monster Day! New 52 week high at .35!
Five more days to WWTBAM!!!
My guess is .35-.36 EOD, but it could be higher. We always seem to have that rally in the last 30 minutes. GLTA.
WE ARE THROUGH THE ROOF!!!!!!!!!!!
Whoooaaa! That latest block was for close to half a million shares! Big money is coming in!!!!
Now that we're past that psychological barrier, the after lunch volume and share price should be off the hook! IMHO
Five more days to WWTBAM!
Hello .30s! It looks like Mr. .299 finally ran out of shares to sell. It's all up from here, IMHO!
Five more days to WWTBAM!!!!
Doubtful. All we need is details on what advertising sold for on the date of the first show which airs within the 3rd quarter (i.e., Saturday, Sept. 29th.) Based on that info, we'll know how much this stock is worth going forward. That info will have to be in the next quarterly.
I think AAGH waited until the last minute because they knew they could charge more for their ads when the PRC shut down the "talent shows." If they had locked in ad contracts earlier, they wouldn't have been able to profit from this latest move by the PRC. Now all the advertisers from those "talent shows" will flock to WWTBAM because they still need to advertise during Prime Time. So now, WWTBAM is one of the only shows in town that can deliver 500 million + viewers for those advertisers during prime time. It's pretty obvious Mak has some good connections with the PRC!
I expect we'll bust through .30 this AM!
With WWTBAM's competition from the "talent shows" eliminated in the prime time tv slot, all the big advertisers will flock to WWTBAM! Big ad money is coming!!!!
I guess that PR resolves the controversy over the weekend. GO AAGH!!!
Six more days to WWTBAM!!!!!!
And according to the FOX News article BLT321 quoted where they discussed the regulation of "talent shows"...
"State-run China Central Television and provincial satellite channels will not be allowed to air talent shows between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. And each show must last no more than two months, airing no more than 10 shows of 90 minutes each, it said."
And according to the AAGH PR on Sept 10, 2007...
"Asia Global Holdings Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: AAGH) and its subsidiary China Media Power (CMP) participated in a press conference September 9 held by GuiZhou Satellite TV (GZTV1) to announce publicly in China that 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' will begin broadcasting in prime time on September 29 at 8:40 PM."
Soooo, WWTBAM will have no competition from "Talent Shows" during their PRIME TIME SATURDAY TIME SLOT when....
"The GZTV1 broadcasts will give 517 million home TV viewers in China access to 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?'"
SWEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!
Seven more days until WWTBAM!!!!!!!!!
Well, I hate to toot my horn, but I called the last two days of action:
Post #11602, Wed, 9/19/2007, 4:30:33 PM
"I agree with your assessment Lucky, smart move. But, there might be some more buying opportunities tomorrow as well. We can write off any PR this week IMO. AAGH rarely releases one on Thursday or Friday. But if you don't get any shares tomorrow, I think that will be your last chance for awhile. On Friday, everyone will be loading up on shares with the expectation of a big PR on Monday as well as the rest of the week leading up to the WWTBAM broadcast. Ten more days until WWTBAM!!!!!"
So now that we're in the afternoon lull, IMO, price action will pick up again in the last hour as people try to get some skin in the game before next week. GLTA!
EIGHT MORE DAYS UNTIL WWTBAM!!!!!
You nailed it once again Media! But, it looks like the "test at 20" is going to hold. Load up now everyone, because PR expectation buys for next week will start up by tomorrow.
Here’s a brief history about AAGH PRs for all you investors new to AAGH. For those of us who followed this stock for a long time, it has been a frustrating experience to say the least. As I’m sure all AAGH veterans will agree, you could basically describe past communication by AAGH as “poor” at best.
For example: On Mon, July 02, 2007, we received confirmation of the completion of the WWTBAM TV pilot after hearing that it was being filmed on Tues, May 29, 2007. We also got to see the TV pilot for a few days before it was taken off the website without explanation! Prior to those PRs, we hadn’t heard from the company for close to four months! That was typical.
This all changed on Sun, Aug 26, 2007, when the PR onslaught began with news that a deal with a broadcaster for WWTBAM was made. After that, we received four more PRs within two weeks:
Wed, Aug 29, 2007 – Production date
Tue, Sep 04, 2007 – Broadcast date
Mon, Sep 10, 2007 – Press conference
Wed, Sep 12, 2007 – Shares issued
It was unprecedented and quite a change of behavior for AAGH. Now we are back to the old ways with no news for at least a week without explanation. It seems like there is so much more to the story to tell: names of the celebrities and host, names of advertisers, ad minutes, ad revenue, future deals, etc. What can all this silence mean? For those of us that know AAGH, we know it’s something BIG! AAGH always goes quiet when something is brewing. Soooo… what does Mak have up his sleeve??? Any guesses AAGH veterans???
IMO, I think we’ll hear they inked a new deal with 2waytraffic for another show! That’s my guess since AAGH has shown they can deliver a show in China. And adding more shows to AAGH’s roster means BIGGGG money for all those involved; so why not mint some more!
Also, what happened to all those S-8 shares? I haven’t noticed any dump on the market yet. If he was waiting for the share price to peak, then why didn’t we see them on the market when this stock sat in the .28 to .30 range for three days!? And if he wanted to dump them on the market when shares were cheap, he would have done it before all the latest PR announcements which drove up the share price. I think Mak’s saving them to use for consultants on the next show!!!
And finally, I agree with Lucky on the timing of the next PR. We may not hear anything PR related until after the show’s first broadcast on Sat, Sept. 29, 2007. My guess is that any big news will happen on the Monday after the show’s first broadcast (Oct. 1st, which is the first day of the 4th quarter). That would be a perfect time to celebrate the success of WWTBAM and introduce the next exciting chapter for AAGH! Either way, the next two weeks are going to be exciting!!! We’ll see what happens! GLTA!
Thanks for the input Media! We all appreciate it.
