great post livingstyle
balihi, what do all those numbers mean?
hey,I heard my name. lol When I talk about being bored with todays tennis, I was mainly talking about the lack of emotion. I guess I was spoiled by some of the oldies.(McEnroe,Connors,Nastasie,Noah,Agassi,Ivanisivic,Rafter,Villas and many others that played at that time). And what was great was the contrast of those BAD BOYS playing against the likes of Borg,Chang,Lendl, etc.Of course Nadal shows emotion but its not the same. I do like Roddick but unfortunately he hasnt done that great this past year or 2. The same goes for Bagdatis. After getting to the finals of the Australien, he had some injuries and just hasnt done that great since. So like I said before I am hoping that there are a few younger players that come to the surface that are interesting. And unfortunately for my tastes, the rules have changed in that they would never allow for the theatrics of a McEnroe,Nastasie, or Connors.
I am not going to sell, but I recognize that I may lose all my money. Plus with my SSTY shares I am down too far to make it worth my while to sell now. But it does bother me some to hear the same BS month after month (and fast becoming year after year) how great of an investment TPDI is.You keep talking about all your DD but you never share any of it.
I have been hearing how TPDI will be a great company for a long time now. I have also been hearing forever how SSTY will be uplisting soon.I heard that Bendis was going to come through for us thanks to all his contacts. But we heard nothing about what he has done the whole time he was CEO. And now he is gone. Nobody has any idea why all those contracts and agreements that have been on the TPDI website have not been pr´ed. We just got 1 pr a little while ago(and that was old news) and then nothing. There was no reason given why they decided to go from 1/30 to 1/100.And even if TPDI turns out to be a great company, that doesnt mean that we (the current shareholders) will make any money. Its enough that management pays themselves huge salaries,R/S again, and keep diluting the stock and we are all screwed. So a great technology does not always equal a great investment.Especially now that our company is run by crooks. JMO
balihi, of course his post is credible.Just look at what they have done with our SSTY shares. And look at what these guys have done in the past with other companies. You need to get off your high horse and realize that being invested in TPDI is a big gamble and odds are that we will lose our money here. And stop insulting every person that does not pump this stock.
In french esprit means spirit or mind.
itlogic, arent the guys behind the scenes that you are worried about, just a problem for our EFGO shares? From the sound of things our Good Life shares will be under the leadership of the chinese.
snow, I agree. I think that EFGO is not in a position financially to take the whole 40% now, but want to keep that door open for a later date.It is possible that EFGO didnt give up their assets except the $5 million. The rest could be that they gave away license rights to their software and maybe their ATM connection. And of course the shell. And Good Life doesnt lose anything because if they want us out at any time they can just R/S.JMO
It seems to me that this is being called a R/M for technical or legal reasons. Actually this is just a dividend. In return for this dividend we are paying $5 million and giving up some of our assets or atleast the right to use those assets. Also we are supplying a shell for GoodLife to uplist. Besides receiving a dividend of 10% in GL we also have the option of receiving another dividend of 30% in the future. I believe in China the maximum a foreign company can own is 40% of a Chinese company. This reminds me of the SSTY-TPID (Beijing) dividend. In that case however the 40% was to be paid in royalties for so many years.JMO
For the Town Hall I believe you just need a user name to post, but not to read what they have to say.
nexace, BRAVO, I hope you will let us know what they respond.I agree completely with everything in your e-mail.GLTY
itlogic, I agree. The only other possibility is that Garr talks about what he is going to do and the chinese are looking forward and talking about what they are planning on doing when the company is in their hands.
nobody knows
EFGoVols, you cant go by translating 1 language to another. You have to go with the english version, plain and simple.JMO
Is this news that has been put out the Presidents Message that we have been expecting, or are we still waiting for that?
brian, that posted it on the Town Hall.
stockpicker, if we own 10% of a $30 million company, doesnt that mean we are worth $3 million ?
I agree, but I am still not interested in watching Nadal-Federer fighting it out next year week after week in all the big tournaments. I had enough this year.Also,1 thing that makes Nadal so tough to beat is that he is left handed which lowers the level of right handed players. Its like when Gomez(left handed) beat Agassi in the finals of the French. So Federer can never play his best tennis against Nadal (especially if he is forced to play from the baseline).
There are 2 other positives here that I see that have not been talked about. One is the possibility of trading on the Chinese stock exchange. And the other is that we will have a WOMAN CEO. I think that in most cases our worry would be that management would try to fill their pockets with our money. But the fact that our new CEO will be a Chinese woman in communist China leads me to believe that her motivation might lean more towards proving herself as a business woman.Let me know if I am off base here.
I agree except I cant see Nadal being that big of a threat on fast surfaces. He got killed by Federer at the Masters.
Thanks itlogic for your take on this thing.I cant wait for the presidents message. GLTY
Are you serious about that post.Do you really think that this is a good long term investment? Of course we will know a lot more after Garrs message (I hope).
I wish that I could answer but I am learning about this stuff as we go along.I was just repeating what somebody posted earlier and it sounded logical to me.
itlogic, I am in the camp that believes that there will be a R/S, but I dont necessarily think that it will be a negative thing. Also,I think that most people here would perfer that you stick around and post next week. You are 1 of those that always brings good DD to the table and a perspective that is needed here.
I believe that Good Life mentioned that they did a lot of shopping around before going ahead with EFGO. From what I understand the 2 companies compliment each other in what each needs for their appropiate business plans.Good Life will be able to implement many of EFGOs assets, whereas an empty shell only gives them a public company.
I never mentioned 900-1000%. Like Stratey mentioned earlier,EFGO has a good chance to run before the R/M. So all the bashers who have money invested have a chance to recover a portion or all of their investment here.JMO
You keep talking like EFGO is making NO contribution to this deal.I dont think that this is the case.
itlogic, I believe somebody mentioned earlier that the 90% figure was for an empty shell. Also,I am in the camp that believes that EFGO will keep part of its assets and give a dividend in possibly another R/M or spinoff.JMO
Yeah, some of these people are annoying. Nobody really knows whats going on here for the time being but many are trying to show their brilliance by predicting how this is another phase in the big scam. We were all looking for a way to be invested in China and now it has happened. If the bashers want to impress us with their knowledge they need to be more objective and wait till they have more facts. We all know that pink sheet stocks are a gamble and EFGO has lost a lot of credibility over the past several months. But at the same time the potential is enormous. The people that are not convinced that this merger is a good thing will have a chance to unload their shares in the next few weeks. So as GoVols has said, lets just try to work together to find the facts. And more importantly we need to be patient until Garr releases his presidents message.
Well before becoming a hotdog stand they will definitely DILUTE.If that wasnt their intention they would have stayed a private company. All these companies dilute and then R/S and then start the process all over again. With IBAC and TSXT they probably were in over their heads with legal problems and decided to pack their bags and split.JMO
A man comes home from work and finds his wife crying in front of the mirror. He says, whats the problem honey? She keeps crying and says "my tits are so small".He says dont worry about it honey. Why dont you just rub some toilet paper over your tits a few times a day for a couple of months. It worked for your ass.
Jitz, to get TownHall you need to go thru their new website.
I have already had my fill of Nadal-Federer matches and I am afraid Nadals injuries are going to get worse. And yes I hope Djovivic starts being more consisitent. He sure was disappointing in the Masters. But if its the same 2 or 3 players in the finals all the time then I think that this is bad for the game.I have just gotten bored with the whole thing.I am ready for some new faces.
Ramsey, yeah its been fun.For the good of tennis I hope there are some new young players that arrive on the scene.Tennis definitely needs some new faces.
Ramsey, Time will tell.Personally I dont care 1 way or another if Federer breaks the records or not.As far as who is the better player, its all objective.I and many others think Federer is the better and more complete player and you and many others think Sampras is the better player.I know some people perfer to watch doubles instead of singles and I never understood that, but hey; to each his own.And I have to agree that Federer has been so lucky to win many of his matches.Djokovic was really unlucky not to win the first set tiebreaker in the US Open and then then had set points in the 2nd set.He was serving so well and then he lost it completely.I was pulling for him all the way.GLTY
I think the system has changed now with the Master Series tournaments. Now if you do well in the Slams and the Master Series then thats all you need. Also, lets keep in mind that Federer is still young so comparing the number of titles won is not really fair. The ball is now in your court.
Ramsey, these guys cant be winning titles because Federer is winning everything. And the few tournaments he hasnt won,Nadal won.And that is the whole difference between Sampras and Federer.Sampras did not dominate week in and week out. That was my point when I showed that there were other #1 players during the Sampras era.
Ramsey, The number #2 behind Sampras to me was not always that impressive.
1993-Stich
1996-Chang
1997-Rafter
1998-Rios
And in 1994-95 it was Agassi who was #2 but his tennis was very hot and cold in those days. There were still a couple of big names like Becker and Edberg but they were at the end of their careers.
These past years with Federer there has been Agassi,Hewitt,Moya,Ferrero,Hass,Blake Roddick,Safin,Ljubicic,Keifer,Keurten,Nalbandian,Nadal,Davydenko, etc
I think that these players would have been top #10 in any era.JMO
Ramsey, LOL This is fun!!!!!!!
