So, if SOMA is a Spin-Off...
what does that make EQBM? Is SOMA just Somaliland, and EQBM still parent company of this venture, and of the other supposed deals, like Ecuador, and Dalian?
I no longer own this stock, but I was just curious to know what will be left of EQBM, since some on the EQBM board were speculating that some other deals will be transfered to SOMA, not EQBM.....i think that was speculation.
thoughts?
Dan
jim, have you been following EQBM?
This is what i see..
a "dividend" for EQBM shareholders is being offered, 1 share of SOMPF for 50 EQBM. Knobias says....as posted on EQBM board...

Trade date? ...meaning the day you buy it? There is no Trade date concerning dividends. Plus 3 days? - maybe if your broker is uptight and wants 3 days to settle your account, check with the broker, ask them about EQBM and their divvy not being quoted ex., read them the dates and see what they say about when the stock stops trading with the dividend, also about when you need to buy to own the div.
If the shares are in your account on the record date you should get the dividend no matter when you bought them.
This is from Knobias... notice that although the ex date is listed, they are not being quoted ex., indicating that it will be quoted until record, eg; the record date will be used in place of the ex date.

Hercules!...??
I definitely don't fit that description!..
now that is great!..eom
just a thought....
there was a time that i wanted a nickname....so...
instead of Dan..or..Daniel
I tried to do something else...I wanted Dann.
But that sounded a bit feminine....so then I wanted "Tang"..based on my last name...but that was straight-up corny.
Later, when I worked in an Italian Deli, I was better known as Danny Cheez, or just Cheez. But that was not flattering.
Now, I occasionally refer to myself as DannyBoy...but that does not fit either...
So, just call me "Master Architect", and I will leave it alone....deal?
LoL....what a self centered, egotistical SOB i am...

OT: Florida Gators football..
They are getting the raw deal. Earlier this year, EVERYONE mentioned that the SEC conference is the toughest conference this year. Yet, if the Gators beat Florida State (they suck this year by the way) today, and then beat Arkansas in the SEC title game, all the pundits basically think that Michigan or USE (if they beat ND today) will be the team to meet Ohio State in the National Title game.
Florida has one loss to Auburn(a ranked team)
USC has one loss to Oregon State (unranked)
Michigan lost to Ohio State (should they play again..back to back games? That seems foolish.)
If Florida wins out, they should play Ohio State. Here is the arguement against Notre Dame if they beat USC...
ND lost to Michigan. So, they should not JUMP over Michigan to play Ohio State.
Bullsh-t.
but i have a biased opinion, since i am a Gator.

I made a typo..
when i said JS stopped by to correct a false statement made by her, i meant ABOUT her....geez, i don't want to be on her bad side/......that is what i get for not proof reading my post!
Anyway, i am beginning to prefer boards that are not stock specific....like FAT CATS!
Dan
Serf!...EQBM is getting nasty.
the board that is. I have noticed that Jim bishop, Janice Shell, Stock Lobster, and overachiever...among others...have popped in over there.
Ms. Shell just stopped by to correct a false statement made by her.
Anyway, it is hopeless over there. I have been asking around about Larry Skolnik, aka Larry the Hat, aka LeHat, and I just don't like what I see.
when I first got into EQBM, it looked great. chart was showing a potential breakout, the share structure looked clean, except for the unlimited AS, but OS was about 400 mill.
Mr. Skolnik also conducted an interview on MN1 about the future growth of the company through Joint Ventures and other deals in the making.
Perhaps he will still come through with them. Perhaps the stock will fly from .017 to 5 bucks. I don't know, but it was becoming very shady with the CEO telling IHubbers about future PR's, NOBO numbers before the PR, and other goodies. IHubbers were guarranteeing PR's in the pipeline to other IHubbers. Others were providing future PPS by extrapolating them from short positions based on the findings from the NOBO list ordered. I think the projection over there is something like .70 cents.
Now, if you were holding 2 million shares, why would you sell if you can turn your few thousand dollars into 1.4 mill? LOL
Man, i really hope that is the case. I hope all of them strike it rich over there, but i am done with it.
Dan
lady, i run the HYGS board...
not much there, but i put a post over there from BBCMF. Mick and I were chatting here about it, so some info is on this forum...if you do a quicky search, you will see the recent posts.

we will see.

HYGS...and finally..CIBC Starts Coverage

CIBC Starts Coverage of Fuel Cell Sector
Tuesday November 21, 1:24 pm ET
CIBC World Markets: Fuel Cell Sector 'To Pick Up Momentum'
NEW YORK (AP) -- The fuel cell sector may be poised for a pick-me-up as investor appetite for alternative energy stocks grows, an analyst said Tuesday.
CIBC World Markets analyst Jeff Osborne issued a rosy outlook for the fuel cell industry -- the makers of renewable energy batteries that run on hydrogen instead of fossil fuels. Fuel cells are a potential pollution-free energy source, if produced from renewable means.
HYGS: also,here are some passages...
from recent financials.
http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/061113/0183412.html
"During the third quarter, we delivered on a number of key initiatives providing the basis to move forward with confidence and focus," said Pierre Rivard, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hydrogenics Corporation. "On the operational side, we resolved the substantial majority of supply chain and component quality issues identified earlier in the year in our Belgian-based OnSite Generation business. We are now initiating product deliveries on a case by case basis and anticipate returning to historical levels by the first quarter of 2007, assuming no further issues are identified. On the business development side, we completed a number of initiatives with the highlight being the signing of a three-year manufacturing and supply agreement with American Power Conversion (APC) (NASDAQ:APCC - News), with a commitment to deliver up to 500 HyPM® XR 12 kW Fuel Cell Power Modules for integration into APC's backup power solutions. Additionally, we also announced plans to bolster our management team by bringing in a new Chief Executive Officer at which time I will assume a new role, as Hydrogenics' Executive Chair," said Rivard.
Of course there are negatives to the story:
"In the third quarter, we commenced a comprehensive assessment of our business and operating plans. As a result of this assessment and changes in strategy, we revised our previous estimates of the growth and development of our Onsite Generation business. In addition, we determined that the revenues of the Test Systems business would be lower than previously anticipated as a result of slower adoption of fuel cell technology in end user markets. Due to the significance of these changes, we recorded $79.9 million of impairment charges relating to our OnSite Generation and Test Systems businesses," added Rivard.
But this post is to show that from the bottom...down here @ 1.55 per share, they have initiative and drive to turn this company around by getting into the backup power industry for large corporation's computer IT infrastructure.
With the OnSite Generation business up and running again, after problems with it in the previous quarters (which is one reason why HYGS is down in the crapper now), this company can start to generate revenue and reduce or eliminate cash burn...IMHO)

APC to deliver fuel cell backup for datacentre
23 November 2006
Author:
Provider: Adfero
A major new project will use a fuel cell energy supply as a vital backup to its operations.
APC is to offer the fuel cell solution as a backup to Comtec Power's new "model" datacentre, which is designed to show IT managers how they can cut energy costs.
The hydrogen-based fuel cell technology replaces business continuity generators and can deliver significant cost savings as well as being more environmentally-friendly.
"A lot of IT managers don’t believe these levels of energy efficiency can be achieved," Nick Claxson, managing director at Comtec Power, explained to IT Week.
It is understood that the new facility, which covers 3,000 square feet, will be operational early next year.
HYGS: looks like a turnaround story to me.
only time will tell.
AE is going to be big in 2007, IMO
