more cornhell... is this Jay's way of giving us the finger?
Now that's what I call a PR ! Maybe put the shine back in my portfolio that the MOBL and BIPH shi tbirds crapped on...
Did Tobin himself ever look at MOBL?
How do we know that MOBL wasn't managed exclusively by one of his staffers or flunkies under the 'flag of Tobin'?
But I suppose he would have to read his own newsletter now and then...
How could the caller, who had just been in Tempe, know the city was all wireless and NOT know that it was Mobilepro? He just heard it second-hand? Would he call Cramer just on the basis of inuendo? What an idiot.
Not to mention all those thousands of years of inaccurate horoscopes before 1930, all because no one knew Pluto was even there. (And don't forget those other newcomers--Uranus and Neptune!)
called 'investors village' now.
http://www1.investorvillage.com/index.asp?
I'm big into HDY.
Some MOBL.
EP: this disaster called Biophan...
BIPH. I am beginning to worry that the longer Weiner putters around the conventions and conferences, makes dopey and inexplicable appeances on that sham MoneyTV, and fails to execute on Biophan's potential, the more likely other MRI technologies will leapfrog him, the patents and the shareholders by--and at supersonic speed, too.
Does BIPH have any future above .70 at all?
When Abbott announces,
will it be jointly with Biocurex, or at least mention Biocurex?
Or will they screw us and pretend we don't exist?
HSKA bouncing repeatedly off the 50dma nicely. Awaiting Nov.9th CC. Under strong accumulation as per IBD.
Hope to do with this as what happened with EZM and AEZ.
Asks and Bids....
Say I am looking at a stock on my eTrade account, and I see this bit of data about asks and bids and 'ask size' and 'bid size':
BID: 1.65 x 100
ASK: 1.67 x 5000
Okay, but what does this tell me? That more traders or more money wants to buy more shares than are available (offered) for sale?
As a trader, how useful to me is this? Has this any predictive power? Is it indicating a sure trend over the very short term?
Very curious.
Looks like it might be bouncing off the 50dma today. Under very strong accumulation, per IBD. 3Q results are due within the next few weeks.
Gyro, thanks, that sounds very plausible. EOM
Why does BOCX water down their PR-release impact by releasing after market close?
Why not release in the a.m., prior trading hours?
Wouldn't that have more 'legs'? They do it anyway--so why not reverse the order of these ridiculous double PR releases and see what happens?
Just what IS the deal with these one-two PR releases anyway?
And when, fercryinoutloud, will we drop the insipid, fly-by-night-ish 'WHISPERING OAKS'? It's insane.
[BTW: Anyone here in HDY? Got high hopes for that one. I could retire early, eventually with Biocurex a nice cherry on top--a BIG cherry.]
HalfFull--certainly worth the try.
I doubt Cramer will say anything about bocx anytime soon (if your note actually gets to him, a lot of stuff like this gets vetted and vetted out before he even hears of it, I am sure), but who knows? Maybe he will see it and keep an eye on it.
HSKA piquing my interest...recent sideways action... maybe wait for stochastic to lurk the bottom... earnings out Tuesday
Hey EP, bought Lefevre's book on ebay, waiting for it to arrive.
AEZ... in at 5.01, out yestiddy 5.90...
Nice little gain, almost 20%. Just didn't like the high-volume churn near 6.00 (a bit of IBD wisdom there). Dropped the flickering match while I could.
Don't tell me... N.J. ?
The Bighorns--yeah, at Tensleep Lake one day, was catching a trout on almost every other cast. Basic baitcast with a mepps spinner.
From Gillette you could see the Bighorns way off in the west, and from certain points Devil's Tower to the east.
AEZ... rumors reported on Yahoo about oil "being swabbed" and more gas than expected at the Fetter field. Would explain a great deal.
This is a Bakken Formation play. Been looking for a Bakken angle. Lotta oil there.
"wyobuford": you in Wyoming? I lived in Gillette for about a year, back around '81. Worked for Bovaird Supply.
EP, thanks, but was I just lucky?
Found AEZ while looking for small companies with good profit margins and ROE. Then I eyed AEZ's chart. To me, something about it said 'on the launchpad', but I'm not sure what.
Maybe a sense that the good fundamentals act like a short bungee in event of a drop (which they apparently did).
Do you think AEZ will push past 6? The volume is very good.
AEZ---ay, caramba! EOM
deano, have you scared up anything else? The giant is stirring a little--nice little jump today.
Heh heh heh heh...
A E Z...
heh heh heh heh...
Now--how high will it go? Eyeballing 6...
AEZ: OK, I'm confused...
Not that I'm complaining. In at 5.01 a week or so ago.
Is this a boosh?
AEZ: yup, it went places. :(
well the sleeping giant just had a cardiac arrest.
anyone know what the hell happened here?
IMNY. Chart intrigues; lousy fundamentals...
AEZ looks ready to go places.
Dang well better. Just bought some.
Wow, up nice this a.m....anyone know what's going on? EOM
Heh heh, love that CYRO... eom
OT: oops... previous was not meant as reply to anything, beg pardon. Got lazy and hit the "public reply" nstead of the "post message".
CYRO looking ready to move. Likely to drop to ~.90 though before taking off again. Good fundamentals if that means anything with this crowd. Seeing some speculation about it being a buyout target.
i dunno, it's kinda vague.
From RB board. Re: Cuyahoga Falls Wire Cutting
Some notes from Cuyahoga Falls….
The tent was always busy. People were signing up for the free laptop, (leads for potential customers) and asking questions. A laptop was set-up to provide an example of the connection. People could try it out as well as view the streaming video from Fox news as well as other sites.
MoblePro has a foothold in Arizona, Ohio, Colorado, and Texas. The IO for the city had told me that he has been swamped with inquiries about the system. The MOBL rep that is handling the Ohio area states that many surrounding cities are wanting to see how the system works and are “very interested” in being a part of a wireless network. From Kent to Medina and beyond are asking.
The band – 1988 – was OK – they played a lot of older rock.
Akron University wants MOBL to help with their wireless network.
There was a little bit of an issue with light poles in Akron. The problem was that the company that owns them, (First Energy – I think) wants there union people to do the work on the poles and a compromise was reach were their contractors will do the work according to WAZ specs. There will be issues because this has never been done before. The relationship is positive.
The Akron pilot is set up to satisfy the needs of city officials (building department, etc) first. It is in an area that has a lot of high tech.
It was a bummer that they only served Coors beer products at the event (a non-union company).
After talking with the Strix guy, I believe their nodes are the best for MOBL. Why? Just because I think so – too much to write down now.
A news report was broadcast on the local Fox station (channel 8). I will eventually provide a link.
Existing ISP’s are inquiring as to how they can join.
Cox Cable has a big presence in Northern Ohio. They provide cable, VOIP, and internet to 7 or more cities in the area (including mine). They have had talks with the MOBL Ohio rep.
The ‘nodes’ that carry the signal create a ‘fog’ of wireless around them. They are most effective when they are positioned at about the 25- 35 foot level on a light pole. If they are too high up, the signal is not as good at ground level. The deployed system works well inside most buildings up to the third floor. It may be necessary to have those boosters for other levels (Can’t remember the name of booster). They are testing two different ones, one from Linksys and one from Cisco.
Alan Crancer is a load of info. As a VP for MOBL/KITE he seems positive and optimistic of the future. Once MOBL sets up a presence in an area, additional cities are cheap to add on. The major cost is in the infrastructure - to set up the initial connections. Once that is done, additional nodes (in a surrounding community) just bounce off of the existing/original nodes.
I’m glad I was able to meet some of the folks that will eventually make me modestly wealthy. This is not going to happen next week – but it will happen. All you bashers can kiss my white xxxxxxxxx ! Why you do what you do is your own business. I could care less! I know that MOBL will be a winner. They have a service that is in demand and right now they are in the ‘prove it stage’. Once the Tempe numbers start to flow in, they will get noticed. After the build-out all they need is a few tech phone folks and maintenance people. The rest is icing on the cake.
Wonder if they are looking for a reverse merger with a shell, or with a candidate that offers synergistic substance?
Just overall nervousness in the market, IMHO; Iraq/Iran/Lebanon/Pyongyuck and all that.
It's all one more (pile of)brick in the portfolio load, so underperformers and speculatives are the first and fastest to be jettisoned.
Heh heh...Al Gore and his evil twin.
(But how do you tell them apart?)
Cramer says good for a dollar gain from here.
But then, Cramer sez a lotta things.
Heh, heh... check out AUTO...
I mentioned this one some weeks ago. Who says the boosher model is dead?
But did I, in my infinite genius, buy any AUTO at a buck a share?... Noooo, of course not. Got EZM instead.
* gnashing of teeth *
Yeah, screwy -- but pretty mild compared to some other whackos out there. Remember those two German guys who agreed that one should eat the other?
On the bright side, at least the kid seems to know what he did was wrong, and wants help.
