So I wonder if the differences with Apple are still large or if they are now resolved.
It will be interesting to see if any phone manufacturers publicly acknowledge the use of this material with the new model releases later this month and next month.
What is the date of this interview?
Yes, but I can’t tell if the question pertains to a potential new or an existing Eon factory in this city.
Eon Q&A:
Question:Is the factory building in Dongguan?Huawei's factories are also in Dongguan. How far is the distance between your factory and Huawei workshop?
March report is for 4th quarter 2018, no one is expecting anything other than modest increases from 3rd quarter MIM revenues. Mass production revenues will not hit the books until Q2-Q3 2019. So might as well sell now if you don't have the patience to wait for those reports.
Most US carriers already have banned them. Huawei executives in Poland the other day stated they will do whatever is required of them to prove their equipment is not a security threat. They desperately want the EU market and eventually the US market too once the trade issues are settled.
I just got my shares on Ameritrade. And the original AARMQ stock listing is still there. Which makes me wonder if there will be one more small distribution?
Another question on the Eon Q&A:
Question:Is the back metal shell, which huawei is about to release, available for your company?
So the back is metal and not glass? Or is this the mid frame?
Response should be interesting. Things are definitely happening with this material.
Eon website Q&A:
Question:Is it true that Yian Technology, Yihao Metals and Huawei Research and Development Center jointly develop accurate, thin-wall, high-strength "liquid metal folding parts" and apply to Huawei's latest 5G flexible screen mobile phone?
Can’t wait to hear the answer to that question!
I agree that there is likely mass production at present, but I don't think it is them being dramatic for not informing the public. There is some legal reason still holding them back from publicizing. Not sure what it is or why, but am hoping it is lifted soon.
Maybe or maybe not, it all depends on whether the material use is announced in any phones or if it is still kept quiet. If the latter and we have to wait for financials, then later this year will be when we see share price movement (Due to the long delay in release of quarterly data).
As I have stated numerous times, up front capital investment costs have always been the barrier. Even for Apple, who is notorious for squeezing their suppliers. They are letting Li build the infrastructure to mass produce the material, and when proven by the use of the material by Chinese phone makers, will then jump in. Apple innovates nothing anymore, they only copy, squeeze suppliers, and rely on brand loyalty for profits. Believe me, if the US government opened the US markets to Chinese phone manufacturers, Apple phone sales (main revenue source) would be doomed. Already seeing Chinese suppliers taking over Europe.
Li is vested in both companies in both countries. His interests are in the success of both. By the way, he is not even taking a salary at LQMT US and is a common shareholder just as we. That tells me all I need to know about his intent.
Samsung Galaxy A90 is reportedly to feature a pop-up selfie camera. Samsung’s 2018 A-series spiced things up with triple and quad-camera setups so the pop-up front camera design could be the next signature move from the A lineup.

Looks like Samsung is copying Vivo with the pop up camera.
Hey Josh, is this a “ me only” or “me too” for BMG?
The website you are posting is Shenzhen LMS Technology Co.,Ltd. It is part of the Maze that Josh posted (LMS Technology). Everything noted on the site is "liquid metal" and not "Liquidmetal" which implies "Eon only" as Josh would say.
Samsung just accidentally revealed its Galaxy F foldable phone in a huge video leak

You are correct, I think it is Kang. He has been using the Liquidmetal Technologies name. Which made me think he was affiliated again with the company. Perhaps not.
"Reuters reported the company was shifting strategy and would offer mostly researcher and engineering jobs in Wisconsin..."
"The site will function as both an "advanced manufacturing facility as well as a hub of high technology innovation," Foxconn said."
Advanced manufacturing that requires engineers to operate. What does this sound like??

Yes operating costs will increase, but not significantly. What will increase significantly is capital costs. And recent tax laws will allow for significantly accelerated depreciation on those assets which will allow large tax write offs thereby helping the bottom line. So this offsets much of the capital costs in the initial years. If they continue to invest in capital they can continue to roll this over. The intent of the new law was to incentivize continued capital investment.

Looks like Foxconn will not be making TV LCD panels at the new Wisconsin facility due to the rapid price drop of TVs. They are still planning to use the space for R&D.
Gee, I wonder what Foxconn could put into that facility to supply something for Apple.
It is all right there staring us in the face. Let's make this happen LQMT.
Josh put out that number, and yes that amount of revenue would completely change the market outlook for this company. Operating costs are under $10M, so $30M puts the company well in the black.
From Eon website Q&A:
Question:Is the company responsible for the latest VIVO APEX 2 droplet phone's metal casing? What is the layout of the company's frame, shell and other components in the cell phone? In addition, after state-controlled companies in the aerospace, railway, automotive light weight and other new materials used to get substantial large orders? Finally, when is the magnesium bone nail on the market, don't always say wait for feedback, please let us know the specific progress?
Reply:How do you do?Thank you for your interest in the company.1. Liquid metal has been used on mobile phone FACE ID support, camera module and other products. In the future, the company will closely follow the needs of the market and customers, combined with the excellent material properties of liquid metal, actively promote and develop more liquid metal products suitable for consumer electronics. And with the development of 5G, the application of liquid metal in consumer electronics will become more and more extensive.2. The company's cooperation with Zhuzhou-related enterprises is advancing, and the company has accelerated its progress and will soon be able to land the industry.3. The company's biodegradable biomedical magnesium bone nail is being reviewed by the State Drug Administration. In January, the company's project team has actively communicated with the judges to get the results of the review at an early date. Thanks!
The glaring takeaway from this is the Chinese IP theft. China must address this for the trade war to end.
“The greed in corporate America will be our downfall and all because of our “superior” capitalist system.”
Nothing wrong with greed, problem lies with big corporations in bed with big government. Top 20 corporations account for the overwhelming majority of corporate profits and pay nominal effective taxes because they bought all the politicians. That why we have the current guy in the WH, not sure he’ll be able to change it but at least he is trying.
It wouldn't be surprising if he did in order to get permission from the Eon Board to purchase LQMT. He would need to alleviate their concern that he would not be directly competing with them.
What you posted is not from 2011. It’s from 2016.
You are correct, Li sold his personal Eon shares to raise personal funds to purchase the LQMT shares. The funds are kept in the LQMT HK holding company. So there is no direct connection between Eon and LQMT. The agreements are between Li/LQMT HK and LQMT.
Li’s pledge to merge his shares are only after LQMT is profitable. Which means the share price will be in the multi dollar range. I would imagine most here will be gone by then with their 10-20x profit.

P30 expected to be announced the end of February at the Mobile World Congress or shortly after in March.

Xiaomi develops first double folding phone. Another BMG product coming to the market? A current customer of Eon.
Glad to see your exuberance. You have made much positive contributions to this board.
The site he referenced is a fake site. So don't pay any attention to that "rumor ".
To me it will be a huge step forward if the company states publically that liquid metal is used in the phone. That would mean the silence is broken.
Because HK is under control of China and any revenue made by Li in HK is not outside the grasp of the Chicoms. However in the US it is.
First of all, don't be deceived by the numerous day traders here claiming to be investors and posting their insecurities here to scare away anyone reading this board. The question of revenue to LQMT US can be answered by simply asking yourself why Li paid $64M to buy this company. He didn't need to buy it. He has his own machines and formulas to produce products throughout the world. He didn't need the IP. He didn't need anything from this company. Yet he went out of his way to purchase it, build the Lake Forest facility, create cross license agreements, and state that orders will be routed through LF. Are these actions of a person who plans to keep all the revenue in China? LQMT needs less than $10M annually to be in the black. This is peanuts in comparison to the revenues that will be generated from mass production in China. So ask yourself, why in the world would he go through all of that and then not allow any revenue to LQMT US? When you push away all the distractions on this board and look at the basic facts, the picture becomes more clear.
“On August 5, 2010, the Company entered into a license transaction with Apple Inc. (“Apple”) pursuant to which (i) the Company contributed substantially all of its intellectual property assets to a newly organized special-purpose, wholly-owned subsidiary, called Crucible Intellectual Property, LLC (“CIP”), (ii) CIP granted to Apple a perpetual, worldwide, fully-paid, exclusive license to commercialize such intellectual property in the field of consumer electronic products, as defined in the license agreement, in exchange for a license fee, and (iii) CIP granted back to the Company a perpetual, worldwide, fully-paid, exclusive license to commercialize such intellectual property in all other fields of use.
Under the agreements relating to the license transaction with Apple, the Company was obligated to contribute, to CIP, all intellectual property developed through February 2016. The Company is also obligated to maintain certain limited liability company formalities with respect to CIP at all times after the closing of the license transaction.”
All CIP after February 2016 is still unknown in regards to how it can be used. But it is certainly possible that CE revenue may be generated for CIP outside this period. Do you have absolute proof that it cannot?
It has been stated many times by LQMT that cost was the primary barrier to market entry. This has now been overcome. So it is now a different ball game. 2019 will be the year of mass production of this material.
