In general, yes, you are correct in assessing that volume increase coupled with downward price action is a bad thing. This applies when a stock is experiencing relatively normal ups and downs. However, when a downward trend has been in effect for months with consistent volume, as a stock searches for a bottom to bounce off of, a volume increase signals a bottom, or a close proximity to the bottom. Also, looking at the buys/sells today, there are a lot more buys than we've typically been seeing during this plunge. The two highest volume days since the end of June are September 11th and, if the rest of the day stays true to form, today. Even 'turds' don't go down forever. In penny land, all 'turds' float eventually. Given the state of the mj sector, your interest in said sector, and TRTC's viability as a company in relative terms to other mj stocks, it seems you should be able to see the value either here in the low 20's or in the mid to upper teens. Which mj plays are you a fan of at their current levels?
The good news for shareholders today is that volume is picking up down here. The daily RSI is well below the 30 mark, almost to 20. Blood in the streets, panic on the boards, haters gloating, people bailing out...I've been doing this long enough to know what a buy signal that usually is. With a momentum sector like this one, the swings can be terrifying, but with many catalysts on the horizon (November elections being the big one, along with TRTC's specific Nevada catalysts), the momentum for the weed stocks is about to go the other way. All weed stocks have been dead in the water since March, an eternity in penny land, so It's not a matter of 'if' they're due for a pivot, it's a 'when'. It's been a scary plunge for sure, but I smell a turnaround sooner rather than later. Averaging down for the 'bag holders' is a much more savvy move than a panic sell.
Wow, good things do happen if you just wish hard enough.

It seems to me in regards to the Nevada license that Derek is trying to stay ahead of the curve with nifty timing. An application does not an operation make...it's all about precience. Derek has his finger on the pulse and is hoping for federal legalization or at least a reschedule before he would put the license into action. Also, we know how beaurocratic licensing can be...a year? Two? And IF the license is approved, then here's hoping the timing is congruent with a level of federal legalization/reclassification that would allow TRTC to jump in. I assure you that Derek will not jeopardize this company by stepping over the proverbial green line...he's just setting up the ducks into pretty little rows. I'm beginning to view the man as perhaps a genius...a genius that is currently making me very rich.

The dropping of the old and the picking up of the new was what we saw the last two or three weeks. That trend is at its exhaustion point as evidenced by the fact that something like LKEN could "only" manage to go up about 100% today when a couple of weeks ago we saw 500% and 600% daily gainers on tickers like REVI and SING on similar "news". I made a mess of dirty money on this trend and I continue to make a bit here and there, but it's almost over and I'm staying ahead of the game, CBD. I suggest you do the same. I agree that big news is on the horizon, perhaps even THE big news (rescheduling of mj on the federal level), but I think your timeframe might be a bit too optimistic.
For those of us that have taken most of our profits and only hold a remaining core in the real deal mj stocks, it's nice to see all the bleeding today. This reminds me of last March during the preliminary stages of the ten-month bloodletting that precluded the next wave. Speaking of, this December/January ride made the February 2013 wave seem tame, so I can only imagine how magnificent the next will be. I'll be looking to pick all this bloody mess off the floor in the coming weeks/months in big juicy chunks because I think the next wave will be a veritable tsunami, and I now have mountains of money to spend. I'll be watching closely, though, because I don't think this slow-down will take as long as the last one. And to those of you still touting all the trash tickers that sprouted up recently, good luck with that and thank you for the easy money...I had always heard about the dart throwing fun times of the tech boom 90's and it was fun to experience something similar for a couple of weeks.
The beef (or lack thereof) stems from the SEC filings this morning, I think.

Patience is key...once people start to realize who manages this company and/or once news makes it official, it'll be a frenzy. I'm glad I've been able to load under the radar. Ready for the boom.
