I agree hotmeat, I see they have the first earnings announcement set for 8/9 with an estimate of .05 a share. If they have been sandbagging the past few quarters and you can apply any NOLs we should blow past that estimate and see a nice surprise next week.
Ron, I don’t follow. I want to understand but I don’t see where they issued anymore than the 1.17B shares. What do you think will happen next?
Jerry, that’s what I’m saying...book value. Just watch, that 1.88B was a down payment for a ballon loan.
That’s all this is. I’m saying they will pay anything more. But come out way ahead.
This article screams that he’s ready to pay for what he stole but at 2008 book value prices. The assets are probably worth 3 to 4x that amount now.
Smart dude even if you don’t like him.
Az, maybe they need to close the bankruptcy before anything is dispersed?
Opened right where we were supposed to 1.41. Good
Thanks Jerry, I saw where you mentioned a possible upgrade on 7/24 and I have to give you props for the call, I was just hoping it would be WMIH first. I hope the other prediction of 5+ comes soon.
Jerry, I saw where NSM was upgraded to outperform today, why would they upgrade a stock that will merge this week and not the company doing the acquiring?
Large, do you still believe they will issue more shares or is around 1.2 it for now?
Cura, I’m not big on legal language.
But I believe it means, Escrows don’t expect anything from the merger.
Is that what you understand the meaning of this statement is saying?
Ron what would the stock need to increase to in order to complete the merger?
Looks like AZ is right?
Bob, I wonder if the old P shares will merge with the NSM preferred shares? What do you think?
Loads, have you thought about the 51% ownership issue? Do you think more shares will be issued?
Hopefully settling the filed lawsuit will allow NSM to trade over 18 if some elect cash instead of shares.
That’s where I am confused, doesn’t WMIH lose the NOL’s if Fortress becomes the largest shareholder?
Fred, can you post the link? Can’t find the site.
Thanks
Expect the big buys soon.
Any idea on a guesstimate how much has been returned in book entry form since you’ve been monitoring these releases? Do you have a range?
Do you remember how many shares of Kmart were available at re-listing?
They starting a little early, but we should see many of those toward the end of the month. They can’t let it fly too soon though.
Board, I know Jay was in the court proceeding you refer too last May. But could the trustee possibly speak for all of us? This is clearly saying the beneficiaries have been contacted and approved of the settlements.
Royal,
These are all senior notes. What makes you think there related to us?
Jerry, we already had a small S4V event occur in 2012. So I don’t see why another can’t occur. Unless you don’t consider the first time they gave shares a S4V?
Bob everyone has to have an exit strategy and I’ve never heard anyone cry over profits. So can blame no one for that.
Thanks Bob, any extra shares would be the cake. How long we eat that cake depends on if, how much and how will any cash accumulated be distributed. If we get just shares I expect a stampede toward the door.
If they give us shares upfront and hold the cash a little longer with no communications, then the euphoria of anything coming back would be a good trick by these crooks. So I don’t think the games end at first reveal. We will see soon.
Large if you believe in a 1-1 exchange it doesn’t seem like the price per share would matter. Unless your referring to a price increase afterwards, but then everyone who owns would be equally thrilled.
Bob, I believe the trustee has the authority to pay some cash out upfront and pay dividends and allocate those funds to WMIH. Therefore if they have say for example
10B. The hedge funds could easily get access to 40-100B. I don’t think they have to return all the cash upfront. They can lend and purchase other companies. But we will see soon.
Jerry, if that’s the case shouldn’t there be a price pop at the time of merger then?
Bob, any thoughts on a trading halt, if any assets come back and stock issuance happens at the same time?
Reprice and continue trading...
Large, I’m confused because your posts from this morning had a set amount of shares already determined to become available. But if a triangular merger occurs there would be more shares required.
I’m not sure we can have it both ways?
Q3 is July - Sept, I’m thinking this is done early July.
So your done after this weekend?
Bob, you confused on the share conversion. You believe someone holding 250k of commons will receive that many new WMIH shares? And the preferreds would be reissued and go on like nothing happened? I think that would mainly benefit the common shares and I’m not sure about that.
No loan is based on someone’s else’s assets.
If they ELECT cash then they are free to reinvest. I don’t see how anyone is open to litigation by offering fair price based on what’s known now.
Hotmeat, but do you agree with the $5-10 projections in sept 2019? I think the immediate benefit if they can go back a few years on taxes should put this in the $4-5 dollar range at merger.
The key statement is “the shares and cash are held in a separate account”.
Which indicates to me that assets are not included in the 1.5 million shares we know about. We can speculate on the amount but I don’t remember them acknowledging separate assets.
Hopefully that gives a little hope.
Seems like a lot of things cumulate on April 30th. Many of these notes have the same pricing date. I can only hope we see something.
Sorry for your loss, I am glad you get the chance to see the monster who is responsible. Not knowing is another level of cruelty.
