Yes, things are looking up again!
And now frustration is substituted with anticipation. Don't know which is worse! And we wait.... (but good news indeed.)
'small reporting company' is check boxed ... not sure the significance except perhaps 'reporting' means they are an SEC filer?!
HHSE - 'Small reporting company' is now checked off (Malc, remember I mentioned this) ... they've edited the filing, but not sure what else is different.

That's quite amazing JFF. I'm so happy to sell some PLSB today for a 50% gain ... must be quite thrilling to get a 10 bagger ... double down on HHSE and that money will be a hundred bagger ... lol!
No time for that? Do you have bronchitis?
As these items come to fruition, share price movement is a win-win going forward. I'd love to see huge gains, however, if the share price does not react, we will have the opportunity to invest even more with the same massive upside and considerably less risk!
Thanks very much! All along, I've tried to look at the company from a standpoint of marketcap vs (quasi-verifiable) revenues (and growth) so that question was a bit of a 'soft ball'!
Library valuation is a fair response but no great insight. I was hoping for something a little more, but -- at the same time -- what else could they say?
My ongoing hypothesis has been that *if* the missed deadlines have been due to incompetence (vs pump and dump with no intention to meet deadlines) then this has been a great opportunity than mis-fortune ... learning how to do an audit is a temporary problem from which the company will recover. As posted, I averaged down twice at 1.4 and 1.1 cents.
Of course, until we see the audit this could still be smoke-and-mirrors. Nonetheless, I'm very glad that you get a good feeling that they do not seem deceptive but, rather, working through issues they most certainly underestimated.
I'm hoping, for us all, a bump next week with huge returns after the audits!
done.
Thanks! ... I was hoping there was some type of screener for new companies but that is certainly helpful. Edgar has such functionality but it is very cumbersome.
I hate chasing high-flying stocks so I'm going to stay away from NTEK ... although there could still be good potential ... but I'll be sure (hopefully) to look more closely if/when you have another such discovery.
This is really awesome Malc ... thank you!
I like your approach of sniffing out new companies... I took a look on OTCMarkets and have to admit I could not see how to find new listings ... the instructions in the FAQ were useless for me as the corporate actions filter does not have 'new securities' explicitly:
"How can I view new securities to the OTC and other corporate actions?
All corporate actions, including: symbol changes, venue changes (new to the OTC), OTC Tier changes, Caveat Emptor status changes, Splits, Dividends, and Deletes are available within the Corporate Actions section."
PLSB - surpassed one-year high today ... given no news, I'm tempted to sell but this is a very important Q for ramping up sales, so I'm holding. (I did sell some a few months ago on Malc's concern but still hold a decent chunk of shares.)
Still havent' had time to compare against CELH such as distribution agreements, projected sales etc ... I prefer the packaging and product of PLSB and hope it is more like MNST!
wow JFF!! ... I'm curious, did you go directly to EDGAR to originally find this company?
Curious if anyone has been following EORBF ...
"Orbite Produces First Tonne of High Purity Alumina at Plant in Cap-Chat, Quebec"
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/orbite-produces-first-tonne-high-123000553.html
AAPL - agree ... I'm not in for a quick trade but will probably hold for at least a year or two...
HHSE - the main creative question (I think??) is how they could have had all these consecutive profitable quarters when they lost so much on Twelve.
This is probably reaching but ... if they cannot tell us why the audit is held up, could they tell us more generally *why* they cannot tell us! Could the information, for instance, be used by competitors? (A non-answer might still be informative here... their response might provide a good smell test??)
This is perhaps a weird question but you asked for some creativity ... if they were in OUR shoes, what is the main verifiable reason for believing the company is worth more than the current marketcap?
Another nagging question that is probably confusing to ask but perhaps you can think of a way to simplify ... when they found that Fotis had not provided funding for the company, contrary to what he supposedly stipulated, why did they take him for his word orginally? Worse yet, when negotiating they must have known the company assets ... so why did it really matter where the assets came ... either through personal deposit or retained earnings? In other words, if I buy a house because it has a nice kitchen ... I don't care if the previous owner put in the kitchen himself at great expense or if the house also came that way to him originally... only the intrinsic value of an asset matters, not *how* the asset came to be, so it does not make sense to me that Fotis telling them he had dumped a lot of money into the company was reason for providing him shares. (Perhaps I'm missing the story but that is how I understood.)
No matter my dissappoinment, I'm hanging in as I see the company worth more than the marketcap (despite manangement) and potentially way more under optimistic assumptions. A huge thanks for representing! And good god, may the stress of this investment soon be over with!
AAPL - I bought after the drop so I'm still pleased. I've not personally owned any Apple products since my Apple 2c, but I like the PE ratio, cash, growth in revenues, and potential to expand internationally.
I can only paraphrase what an analyst said on the radio today "folks are too concerned about the future of Apple that they fail to recongnize the present."
And yes, I'm happy with my cheaper Windows laptop & Android Phone!
Very professional looking!
aapl - bought 1 share today ... could not resist.
Hi Michael,
Don't have too much time to write but here is my list:
HURC - Euro recovery, low valuation, sector, and Asia sales growth make this one of my favorite 'safe' picks. I was fortunate to get in just before the recent strong Q so you'll be chasing a bit.
PBSV - found on value investing board. Low valuation and growth.
VSEC - low valuation but watch out for the sequestor. Recent insider buys (if I recall now correctly).
NTGR - this is one of my longest-held stocks ... not a great value but like the sector and growth potential.
EGY - my first wildcard. Been holding this so long I need to revisit the details!!
SPMD - follwed Glen on this one but you'll be chasing a bit.
EORBF - quite a bit of good news on this miner and lots of enthusiasm on the value miners board with the stock price still depressed somewhat. They've soon be having actual sales so this is not nearly as speculative as AMY.
hi m
ADXS ... wow, my 'average down' purchase @ 6.8 cents last August is now green!
Still have quite a ways to go to be green overall but this crazy volatility reveals the market is clueless how to value this company. If we are to believe we can beat the market, this is a good thing!!
Glad things are ok!
I meant to thank you for all the work you've done on maintaining the index, so I'll take the opportunity now ... A BIG THANK YOU HARLEYMAN!!
I think the collective DD will lead to a good year!
I did take a glance recently ... they have some revenues and are still in business but I did not go back to the original guidance.
Let me look a little more and I'll respond... thanks.
Edit -- just looked at the full historical chart the first time ... ouch!
Sorry for that!
It's funny SAN felt pressured to change their ticker. How did that meeting go? 'We need to discuss the $100K expense to change our ticker in light of the juvenile comments being made overseas' ... lol!
Please don't feel slighted about IRE ... I promise we have a future beyond STD.
Of course, I like PLSB as it seems to have proven management, I like the niche, and they've built a pretty solid distribution system. However, they have quite aggressive guidance so perhaps they are being mis-leading? Also, they've mentioned dilution so that is certainly coming (at least they are transaparent about it).
Do you recall the tickers of those other drink companies? I'd would certaintly investigate (and learn) from the potential similarities. MNST was literally a monster(also a great niche at the time), so success is certainly possible.
Did I mention that I just missed out on IRE ... lol. Glad it's working out well!
I've timed my recent picks very well ... HURC is up 14% and CMG up 8% ... not bad given these are not highly speculative/volatile stocks.
(My other PBSV is up 4% ... but that could, of course, change in a minute either way.)
I don't recall seeing any class actions ... I sure would have signed up!
Thanks ...
Can anyone explain why (to my knowledge) there are no class-action lawssuits?
INO - significant insider buy for children's trust fund ...
http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=nmona&article=55875079
Have you sold?
Two things keep me going (1) if there were no false promises, the company seems very undervalued (2) I don't see what they (would) have gained by being intentionally dishonest, so I think the fiasco is rather incompetence about audits and accounting, which would presumably remedy itself over time.
Perhaps the audit fiasco was a failed pump and dump which would justify getting out ... perhaps with legal issues they are close to major financial problems?
At least there will be only weeks of this torture left ... I'm patient but don't think I could handle another year of this!
Congrats! With such a strong pick, I'm hoping you (we) are right about HHSE ... it's going to be one hell of a shareholders meeting (either way it goes)!
How long do you think these funds will keep them liquid ... perhaps 4-6 months?
Either there will be good news by then or they will need to diluate again ... we'll see but I agree that the dilution wasn't too bad.
Bought CMG on dip today (paid by selling YMI)... (1) huge growth potential remaining (2) PE is much more reasonable (3) don't have many large-cap growth stocks so some portfolio diversity (4) this is THE one stock I kick myself for not getting years ago.
Not bad start: up 5% on a large cap in less than a hour!
I'm not following ... (AMY still hurts so please go easy on me)!
AMY - I'm still (stubbornly??) holding shares of my worst investment of 2012 (shareprice-wise).
News today is that the CMD/battery testing has been 'major breakthrough'. The most important, however, is not producing the batteries, but their reliability over conventional sources...
The financial position of the company is certaintly very weak and -- unfortunately -- costs have escalated significantly for miners (which I've seen elsewhere is true in general) which pushed returns *just* beyond a reasonable risk/reward level for EMM. IF AMY can carry-out a their investigation of CMD, cost-cutting measures, and testing for higher-grade resources ... just one of these could tip the financials back to doable levels.
None of this is substancial news, but there is still some hope for my decimated shares ... literally crossing my fingers.

"American Manganese Inc.: Artillery Peak Manganese Project Review and Future Plans"
I haven't watched Cramer in so long I'm a bit embarrassed to say I did not realize he was still on the air! Anyway, I'll gladly accept the publicity for SAN (and IRE).
EXMGF / V.MIN - Excelsior Mining.
Hi everyone - I'm a long-time casual lurker and very much appreciate and admire the thoughtfulness of this board.
Excelsior seems to me a very good long-term value, but this is not my expertise so I'd be very curious of opinions here.
Investor Presentation : http://www.excelsiormining.com/images/Presentations/min_ppt.pdf
NOV 2011 PEA:
• After tax NPV of US$562M (7.5% discount using $2.50 copper price)
• After tax IRR of 30%
• Initial costs of US$325M (Payback in 3.6 years)
• Operating costs = US$0.68 per pound
• Royalty = US$0.01 per pound
• Production of 85M pounds per year
• Life of Mine = 20 years
POSITIVES:
- Current copper price greater than $3.50 ... plug this number into the PEA and compare with the $20 million company valuation (assumes full-dilution) and the potential is quite staggering!!
- Is in an isolated part of mining-friendly Arizona, where the process seems permit-friendly. http://www.excelsiormining.com/index.php/news/news-201226/379-excelsior-comments-on-recent-permitting-in-arizona
- I could be wrong, but I recall that there is not a lot of copper supply coming online and some older mines are being depleted. Also, demand in China seems to be recovering and I would not be surprised to see inflation in the next few years due to all the monetary stimulous and strategy to keep interest rates low for the fragile US housing-market recovery.
- Subjectively, the chart seems bottoming.
NEGATIVES
- Pre-feasibility was originally scheduled for Dec 2012, but has been pushed back to Q2 2013.
- Change to options arragment signifying cash issues? (Cash is $2.5M as of Oct 2012)
http://www.excelsiormining.com/index.php/news/news-201226/387-excelsior-amends-gunnison-option-agreement
- Copper prices are unpredictable due to unknown China stockpile reserves and strategy.
Any thoughts about Excelsior as a longer-term investment are appreciated!
HAH ... post 13068 is now deleted ... you all underestimated my mod-ding skills ...
(lol)
