B402...My link was just showing that the Govt.provided money for extending electricity to their work site...in 2008 (fact) That's all. Please don't spin it. Kat Summary says it was recently completed. See below.
he Ekom Eya Cooperative Small Scale Miners at Bibiani in the Western Region, have received a loan facility at GH¢2.2million from the government.
The amount is to enable the miners extend electricity supply to their working site to off-set huge costs incurred through the use of diesel generators and purchase needed equipment.
They had earlier obtained a 24.79 acre land acceded by Anglogold Ashanti through the intervention of the government.
This is the first time in the history of the country that small scale or artisinal miners have received such assistance from the government.
In an interview with Public …
The balance of the resource estimate of 1,380,887 tons @ 6.0g/t represents a potential 266,380 ozs. This can best be accessed by an open pit operation. Thereafter, underground development and mining could be undertaken to access the deeper unexplored ore body. Favourable topography and the virtual absence of overburden over much of the permit is a key benefit in assessing the approach to the workings as well as minimising extraction costs. The national electricity grid has been extended to the site quite recently and the proximity of the site to Bibiani township (about 7km), a district capital with good infrastructure and social amenities, are all additional advantages for a future mine site.
Nice find Shorton!......and when you think about it....

Since the 2010 Conference the first week of November,(2010), Ken has been pretty silent.
From the first of November 2010 ~ to October 31, 2012 (one of the purchaser's milestones), will be 2 years. Something in the works I believe. Just have to wait and see how it all pans out. :o) (see quote from S-1 below)
Acquisition of Handcamp and the November Properties
On June 4, 2010, pursuant to an acquisition agreement by and between our company and our parent company, we acquired 100% of the mineral rights that our parent company then held in and to Handcamp in exchange for 161,000,000 shares of our common stocks. As a result of the issuance of these shares, our parent company owns approximately 98% of the shares of our common stock and Kenneth Stead, a controlling stockholder of our parent company, beneficially owns approximately 99% of the shares of our common stock.
On November 10, 2011, in a related transaction with our parent company Kat Exploration, Inc., our parent issued 74,074,014 shares of its common stock to an individual in connection with the terms of a securities purchase agreement. The above transaction involved meeting certain milestones that require the Company to complete the following under Section 6.2 of the Securities Purchase Agreement:
“6.2. Milestones. The Company agrees with the Purchaser that it will use its commercially reasonable best efforts to cause the following actions:
35
(a) No later than December 31, 2011 (the "Disposition Date"), have completed the disposition to Kat Gold Holdings Corp. ("Kat Gold"), of the properties entitled Rusty Ridge, Collier's, North Lucky and South Lucky (collectively, the "Dispositions"); (b) No later than April 15, 2012 (the "Filing Date"), cause Kat Gold to file a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Commission (the "Registration Statement") registering shares of common stock of Kat Gold (the "Kat Gold Shares") under the Securities Act for distribution to the shareholders of the Company as of a record date that will be established on or about the Filing Date; (c) No later than October 31, 2012, cause Kat Gold to have had the Commission declare the Registration Statement effective (the "Effective Date"); and (d) In the event that: (i) the Dispositions shall not have occurred on or before the Disposition Date, the Company shall within ten (10) business days thereof transfer 5,000,000 Kat Gold Shares to the Purchaser, (ii) the Registration Statement shall not have been filed on or before the Filing Date, the Company shall within ten (10) business days thereof transfer 5,000,000 Kat Gold Shares to the Purchaser, and/or (iii) the Registration Statement shall not have been declared effective on or before the Effective Date, the Company shall within ten (10) business days thereof transfer 23,000,000 Kat Gold Shares to the Purchaser.”
We will just have to wait and see now...won't we..............
NOBLE is:
The strong drill results across the Walsh-Strauss pits may indicate a bonanza however, caution - we have to wait and see. Should these deposits be continuous then NMG may have a 1.2km x 400m pit that could greatly enhance the resource picture, mine plan and project value.
Doesn't seem to be slowing down others in the area....

Electricity has been extended to the site "quite recently" .....

The Govt gave a great gift (Ekom Eya) to their own people in 2007.

The Minerals Commission granted a small scale gold mining concession comprising 24 acres (0.097 sq.
km) on 4th April 2007 in respect of an area immediately surrounding the old Bibiani North shaft to
Ekom Eya Co-operative Small Scale Mining Society for five years renewable. This small scale mining
lease falls within the Bibiani North Donkoto Prospecting Licence.
This Satellite Pits Ore Reserves Report is confined to the Satellite deposits of Walsh, Strauss,
Aheman, and Grasshopper, and the area between Walsh and Strauss. It should be noted that
other satellite deposits do exist elsewhere at Bibiani. The primary objective is to generate
reserves from the new resources that have been developed by Noble from recent exploration
drilling beneath and around these previously mined out pits.
The basis of this report is therefore new satellite pit mineral resources which have been
supplied by Noble. Additionally, the Technical Study conducted in May 2010 by SEMS for the
Main Pit mineral resource and ore reserve estimates, although not specifically covering satellite
deposits, is available for reference to background, procedures, key assumptions, and inputs and
outputs.
SEMS utilised Datamine software for this work.
1.4 Data received
In April 2009 SEMS received a digital copy of the Bibiani Databank from Investec Bank. This included a
copy of the drill hole database for both surface and underground drilling completed by AGA and CAG.
The databank also included grade control drilling from AGA’s open pit mining and Surpac ore body
models generated by various consultants and staff of AGA and CAG.
The Surpac database included:
• Survey pickups of all surface features, including a digital terrain model and a final open pit
survey.
• Historic underground levels, presented as polylines displaying drives and cross cuts.
• Recent underground mining activities by CAG, presented as detailed survey pick-ups.
• Ore body models and stoped-out areas, presented in several different files from previous
resource estimations.
SEMS commenced auditing this data on 18th December 2009 and started ore body and stope
modelling on 5th January 2010.

NOBODY BUT NOBODY leaves ANYTHING grading 6 grams per tonne sitting around to-day.
The mining and treatment methods adopted by Ekom Eya are highly inadequate as they use selective mining methods and work only high grade ore. In this regard grades in the range of 4 g/t are left untouched. The gold extraction method also leads to substantial losses highlighted by the fact that the tailings are sold to other groups for further treatment. Recent samples taken of what the Ekom Eya consider as waste yielded grades up to 9.76g/t.

Looking at the list of equipment Kat Gold "proposes" to purchase for Ekom Eya in Ghana....
In your opinion, would that be equipment used for an Open Pit? or used for tailings mining? or both? or for just working an underground mine.

Regional Exploration
The two Bibiani exploration licences consist of a 105.6km2 tenement package which host several exploration targets outside of the current mine plan.
A $9m drilling programme has been planned over three years with a purchased brand new track mounted multipurpose exploration drill rig.
The main targets initially will be Pamunu Nth & Sth, Asempanye (along strike from Chirano).
In addition there will be a drill out of the existing pits, ie Russell, Walsh, Strauss, Ahiman and Grasshopper. Also investigated will be the Bibinani North potential.

Kadin, the important part of this link ....
is not about the money they received, or when........ but it is the fact that the Ghana Government, by intervention, chose 24.79 acres to give to The Ekom Eya Cooperative Small Scale Miners at Bibiani in the Western Region. Do you think they would give their own people a worthless claim?
