2.2 Bibiani Prospecting Licences

The Bibiani Prospecting Licenses (Donkota and Ansuontaa) are located in the Atwima District of the
Ashanti Region, centred at 6.33 N and 2.18 W. The combined size of the licenses is approximately 49
km2. The southern boundary of the license is about 2.5 kilometres north of the town of Bibiani.
The elevation of the river valleys is around 200 meters with the surrounding hills reaching 500 meters.
The hills occur in ranges trending SSW to NNE, following the main structural grain of the area. The
Pamunu is the main river dewatering the license area and flows in a westerly direction into the Tano.
Access to the license area is by road from Bibiani to Abofirim to Ahyireso, which lies just outside the
western boundary of the license and about 3 kilometres north of the southern boundary. There is a
road, which connects Ahyireso with the Bibiani-Kumasi road at about 10 kilometres east of Bibiani.
From this road another road branches off toward Bredi in the north-central part of the license.
Ansuontaa just to the north east of the concession can be reached from the road to Bredi or from
Nyinahin on the Bibiani Kumasi road 25 kilometres east of Bibiani. The old Bibiani North mine is
accessible via the small village of Lineso Donkota. In addition some logging roads and footpaths are
available while some exploration access roads have been created.
The Minerals Commission granted a small scale gold mining concession comprising 24 acres (0.097 sq.
km) on 4th April 2007 in respect of an area immediately surrounding the old Bibiani North shaft to
Ekom Eya Co-operative Small Scale Mining Society for five years renewable. This small scale mining
lease falls within the Bibiani North Donkoto Prospecting Licence.

Looks like Global Gold, Inc. (Company KAT Gold purchased, see PR) some how acquired this 24 acre Ekom Eya property from the Co-op, a small scale gold mining concession.
