Goldman is out to make money wherever it can. Do you really think they harbor ill will against a stock because it's under 5 bucks? LOL
Hmmm, i will wait till monday. Today is Friday the Buy day for alot of stocks usually, but the market is all tossy turvy. This may reach under a buck. Augusta called .90, many times i've bet against him and got my teeth knocked out. I think i'll wait and see where this settles today.
This can ensue a whole new breed of panic sellers. The issue IMO, isn't the selling, it's the HUGE amount of buying it's going to take to get it back up.
ok, now tell me i was wrong.
Revlon - S&P ratings signals it may upgrade REV
Revlon ratings on positive watch on continued growth - S&P
MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Standard & Poor's Ratings Services signalled it
may upgrade Revlon Consumer Products Corp., saying higher global shipments of
Revlon colour cosmetics and improved operating efficiency have helped sales and
EBITDA grow despite challenging economic conditions.
The agency placed Revlon's 'CCC+' corporate credit rating and other issue
ratings on creditwatch with positive implications.
As of June 30, 2008, Revlon had about $1.4 billion of total reported debt.

That 3 billion debt is what is banging on SIRI, 1.1 Billion due next year..........
This company is losing money like mad, and they have a 1.1 Billion dollar note coming due???
Maybe the combination will help them, but IMO, big trouble on the way.
Where did the old CBI website go? I know they should be kicking butt. Are we rich yet? LOL
Good Morning HOP!
FRE - be careful

It will, it's a quick few hundred buck move. I bet it hits my exit tommorrow.
Chris, Waste management and the current condition of the mortgages have alot in common LOL
picked off some BBI at 2.87 or so
papa, i'll kick you, you kick me.... its easier that way LOL
Good morning HOP, where's the cash today
I've felt for some time that they were turning around. I wonder if the R/S pr was a ploy to cause short covering? After the covering with increasing earnings they'll be stupid as hell to oversell this now. Maybe Revlons Stock is back on track to be a worthwhile tradable equity again.
That is pheasable too. We'll see, only one of us can be correct in the short term :)
Don't put any of my stocks into your house of pain please!!! See what you done to Crox.....
I got an idea, let's short Exxon, and then you post on it.... we're guarenteed to profit. LOL
It's the way i felt, i think it's about to turn south for a few. Who knows though, it may close at 10 and make me sick. LOL
I agree he's going to try to make headlines. But how are the XM shareholders going to react? How many of them are getting how many shares? At this price, it's going to be alot of shares. They may throw in the towel and exit creating a downdrift (i think it would be stupid of them, but people do stupid stuff all the time, i know i do)
Took my profit on ABK..... that should give my wife and i a good night on the town :)
Till the smoke settles from the merger, there will be alot of turmoil... it occurs with nearly every merger.
This one is even more trumatic as many folks worry about the competitive nature of the terestrial radio. In a down economy they may experience a subscriber decline. If our problem spills into the world market and slows everyone down..... well, so much for expected growth.
I'm still looking for 1.2 shares or so. I don't think there is alot of downside potential left, but definately some yet.
yeppers, good morning HOP
Bear in mind, that 10Q is only their opionion of the market.... endusers are chocked full of inventory.
it is for the second Q. They aren't telling you that they are dead in the water right now though. I'll try and get a feel for how well GNA is really doing.
We use alot of their material and we are slowing up big time... their future bookings are very very likely to be super soft. They have enacted price hikes, but you need to pay special attention to the tonnage produced.
I do agree with that, but even buying low doesn't stop it from going lower. sometimes you just do the opposite of your instinct.
Ambac settles CDO squared transaction for $850M (Ambac Financial Grou)
BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Ambac Financial Group Inc. Friday said it has
settled one of its largest collateralized debt obligations (CDO) exposures, AA
Bespoke, in exchange for a final cash payment of $850 million to its sole
counterparty.
AA Bespoke is a $1.4 billion transaction that originally comprised AA rated
CDO of asset-backed securities, most of which have been downgraded to below
investment grade since the inception of the transaction, the company said.
As a result of the settlement, Ambac expects to record a positive pre-tax
adjustment of about $150 million to its aggregate mark-to-market.
"The primary benefit of this agreement is that it eliminates uncertainty
with respect to future losses related to this transaction. We view the final
outcome as favorable in light of the numerous widely circulated models that
assumed a 100% write off for this transaction," Chairman and CEO Michael Callen
said.
Shares of Ambac closed Thursday at $2.52.

GO ABK GO!
True, but there is a reason ABK is moving north fast.
never a truer word spoken.
Spin that wheel pit boss!!!!!
Hello Faust! I think you may be right...
ABK is another one going nuts, i bought some of it, but not enough profit to sell.
I've been watching since 1.25 or so. I thought it would fall flat, but it's on the rise. The charts are showing heavy buying. I think it's got some upward room left.
at 1.3x, brother you have flippers galore flocking to this beast.....
RDN - looks interesting. It's making a huge comeback. I'm after some.
an even trade is a sell... someone wants out for what they got in at.
Revlon :)
many are. REV is moving though :)
florida, you'd better hope the company isn't more concerned with the trading. I'd be far more aghast about a CEO that is more concerned with his PPS than his bottom line. If he has a solid bottom line with growth or dividends, he'll have a decent pps.
I'd wait, we'll see 1.15 or 1.25 IMO. This buying was wrought out of the CEO buying shares. It's a short breif pop. The CEO buying means he has faith, but does everyone else? Concern of the future is priced into this stock.
LOL, you can be rowdy if you like. I've followed this for a long long time. This looks like its definately turned a corner for the better.
What are your thoughts on Revlon? Have you seen the new product lines? Are younger women buying it up?
Welcome aboard too.
yes, wish i had bought yesterday. Would have been a nice flip, but still when this exuberation wears off....... nothing has changed and the pps will tank again.
