Wow!!! .20%!!!
Oh it's happening .... needed for additional equipment outside of what exists today.
Don't have PM my friend
Would you consider yourself gullible for posting your thoughts here about those"gullible" folks?
Not speaking for Watts but Barney and company knew jack crap about the BMG's. Hell they have Husky machines that they tried to "Engel" themselves...
I firmly believe we are closer to metallic glasses having their day....
Nah just coincidence
Remember the IBM application I shared a while back that referenced Liquidmetal, was published as patent today by uspto
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/9839160.html
"Amorphous liquid 180 can take the form of any amorphous metal alloy that is characterized with high elasticity in order to facilitate the travel of magnet 185 within column 170, and thus maximize power generation from dynamos 165 due to energy arising from wave motion in water 120. Other properties that amorphous liquid 180 can have include high strength to reduce fractures so that it can continually store the kinetic energy and be non-magnetic in order to function with magnet 185. LIQUIDMETAL and VITRELOY are commercially available amorphous liquids that are suitable for use with dynamos 165. It is understood that these amorphous liquids are only examples, and are not meant to limit the scope of the various embodiments described herein."
Thanks IA, would be nice for folks to differentiate between "bleeding" of a company vs regions stock market dynamics.
Read the news on Chinese stock market as a whole especially last week. Talk about volatility with that market
Bah humbug
Not sure on your reply to me?
Those are the Eontec machines - die cast
So looks like Eon has 30 machines...that includes two 1000 gram machines nice!
Great find Carson! Looks like updated presentation from one a while back
You should drop by... wrong place to ask here.
Np! Interesting topic that Hauck will be discussing comparing a variety of processes.
Selecting the Right Manufacturing Process for Your Application
Paul Hauck, Liquidmetal Technologies
There is an ever-increasing array of manufacturing technologies for processing metal components. Selecting the right process is critical to ensuring optimum economics and performance. Occasionally, too much is asked of a selected process when there may be a better alternative. Force-fitting applications to the wrong technology often results in a disappointed customer and manufacturer as quality and delivery can suffer, and escalating costs leave both unhappy. Several metal processing technologies will be reviewed including, conventional powder metallurgy (PM), additive manufacturing (AM), metal injection molding (MIM), amorphous metal molding (AMM), die casting (DC), investment casting (IC). General shape formation, cost, and tolerance capabilities will be discussed. Parts manufacturers and end users are strongly encouraged to match application needs to the right process to ensure acceptable product performance, quality and managed cost expectations.
Looks like Hauck will be presenting:

Since I first saw this I’m trying to understand why they have prepped this image, but not published yet.

Man you sure went deep on your thoughts JB...
Anytime! IP is not just cool
But important in finding clues ...
Agreed no one knows what the truth is!
A smart friend of mine asked a logical question centered around would Lugee really invest $63 million plus if the company didn't have a solid future product/client pipeline?
Did he just invest in Hope or maybe? If so he's screwed up in the head because he's also invested All that money expanding Eontecs bmg capacity......
Giving you a hard time ..... happens very often.
Take one more click to the left on PAIR and you will see transaction history. Nothing has been mailed out yet but The USPTO has registered the entry. You can't copy/paste the link as all it will do is take you to main PAIR page.
You really think I would give you a wrong data point? :)
USPTO has allowed Eontec's patent application for their alloy on the 25th of this month.

So LM 105 has nickel content of close to 12%...
Maybe ....
But here's recent assignment :
https://assignment.uspto.gov/patent/index.html#/patent/search/resultAbstract?searchInput=Glassimetal&id=20170241006&type=publNum
He already hooked Apple...
You do realize stainless steel like 316 already has 10-14% nickel content....as in iPhone X.
Now don't start the sky is falling approach. It's all good, more collaboration.
I am not speaking for Johnson but I already shared it if you cared to pay attention.
https://www.glassimetal.com/alloys/
Look at the slides under GlassiNickel....
Read the post Josh, where did it state or say compete against a jabil? This is intended to compare Liquidmetal vs GM. Maybe you should study up or at least respect the professors work. Working from China or within old inner circles doesn't give you all the know how.
It's been 4 years since Apple got an official license to Glassimetal IP, but their interest is more in the alloys the professor and his team has produced .... like AKA GlassiNickel.
Stainless steel anyone?
Don't dismiss Glassimetal, Apple paid them around $6 million in 2013 for access to their IP (aka license).
Don't forget that in a Michigan presentation that professor Johnson gave that I shared here...he referenced working already with an equipment manufacturer to bring the RCDF machine to full build. Eontec, Engel, LK machinery? Who knows....
GM is linked to Eontec folks as well, so the more people working on this the merrier.
Apple has their hand in the Liquidmetal and GM cookie jar, does it have it Eontec's?
No problem!
I rarely agree with him because a lot of his posts leave me with a headache because they are either hard to follow at times as to what his point is. The ones I agree or enjoy are where he sticks to the facts and science.
Nothing personal just my two cents...
Well we finally get a peak via their newly minted website:
https://www.glassimetal.com
Rare time I agree with you...
So you talked to Erik versus Bryce? Man we must be talking to two different Bruce's then ......
