Hey man, that's all I ask... you don't have to rip me a new one, lol. j/k
K, think I'll start adding a little anywhere below 2.75ish, never know when we could get news either.
Like I said even when it first started this dip, big blocks going through at the ask... all the way down, since the teens.
Yep, as long as we learn and develop a strategy that we're comfortable with and can sleep at night, lol. Oh yeah, and makes BIG money quick, I'm all for it, thank you very much. :)
WM definitely going below 3, 2.95 next stop probably, or might just go straight through, I'm just trying to decide when to start building another position.
Yes Sir, and I'm very happy doing it, but just different trading styles.
That said, I'm sticking w/ mine. :)
I like to see those 1k+ days!!
I don't know if you're being what Griffy calls "cheap" here, or do you actually think it will get that low?
I know it depends on the bailout bill, and the speed at which it comes.
Sold my WM from yesterday, but I flipped some yesterday too, in p/m for 3.39, and my FRE at .54, just a wee bit soon, but nice gain anyway, more shares = more gains!! :)
Lizzy thinks we don't hold long enough, which is true, but hell when you're holding more then just 2k shares, you can make the same profit (w/out the downside risk) as you would playing just 2k shares and having to hold longer.
Fyi, I'm all cash now, but looking for an afternoon play or overnight hold/gapper for tomorrow.
IMO, some of the tech's and home builders are looking good.
There's still some nice sized blocks going through, some huge even.
Yep, read that before I typed the last msg., just forgot to include it.
Yep, was hoping it would dip, all of 'em. And, based on some of the language being used at this Congressional hearing, well, don't expect a bill too quick.
Man, time to put some tunes on... enjoy this profitable day!! :)
I read a post a long, long time ago... "if you ain't taking profits relentlessly, wth are you doing here?" :)
Just curious how many shares you play (usually) at a time.
I think a lot of us here hit 'em pretty hard, which is why we tend to sell quicker than you. Anyway, just a thought.
Looks like markets getting ready to screw the ol' pooch, AGAIN!! lol
yep, it hasn't had a big move... yet. :)
I'll be looking to buy it back, and others today, but not going to post much longer, just takes up too much of the day.
AIG, FRE and FNM have all run-up off the lows, when the market went red...
I've seen a lot of "fast" dips, esp when stocks have had a run.
Not everything.
I say profit-taking, normal dip.
That's why I bought WM yesterday instead of AIG, it hadn't already had the run-up.
Can't win 'em all, unfortunately, but you've won quite a few. IMO, just time to be careful now, so as not to give profits back, sound good?
Remember that "pullback" we were talking about. :)
There go FRE and FNM too.
This is why I tend to take the profits pretty quick. lol :)
AIG selling-off!!
I see red markets.
Scottrade is working fine now, mine anyway, but I've got A LOT of RAM too.
Fellas, there's just too much vol on the ones we're watching for these streamers to keep up.
The brokers will tell you, 'we have plenty of servers', but I don't see it when it really only happens during high vol???
Markets want to go red, again? lol
On Scottrade, the last sale isn't keeping up w/ the bid/ask.
I agree Early. That's why I'm being careful here, looking for maybe a pullback before the news of the bill, especially on FRE and FNM.
Lizzy j/k about the .75, but I am trying to hold some that look good overnight, but when I have a NICE gain starring me in the face, I usually go ahead and take it.
Thanks for the info on FRE and FNM yesterday too.
Well, it didn't close at .75 either.
But, I held FRE overnight. :)
Man, that would suck!!
I couldn't sleep, lol.
I'm not going to cry about it, or look back, I got double what I was looking for... one of the two that I held overnight to gap up, and both did. :)
Man, gotta step away for about 10 minutes b/c when I look at the current bid/ask on FRE, I swear that it's saying, "dumb-ace"!! lol
Me too now, all in cash and a good week already, so I don't want to give anything back. I'll be a little picky and probably look for one or two that I can hold overnight again, that was kind of fun. :)
Yep, must be nice to just pull the pen out and start writing a check for billions.
Never wrote one that big, I'd have to make sure I did it correctly, lol.
lol, yeah but I'm trying to maximize it now. I did good selling WM I think at .39, b/c it hasn't gone up much above that and doesn't look as strong as say... FRE and FNM, lol.
Oh well...
I had a friend named Freddie but I sold him at the beginning of p/m for 1.54. I MISS YOU FREDDIE!! :)
This wouldn't have happened if I'd gotten up on time and had a chance to check the futures. lol
Man, but to start having to sell assets at a discount wouldn't be good either, IMO.
Yeah, definitely better than letting the Treas. take 80% of your company. lol
Yep, I wanted my WM and FRE to gap up, both did and I sold too soon, well, the WM I sold at .39, looked like it was going to dip a bit and it did.
But FRE, man o man!!
yeah, I didn't think that would happen once we got the news about Berkshire and GS, and don't know what I was thinking selling so early in eh's, oh yeah, the profit!! :)
