Sir
So much for this comment from Kelly regarding January contract awards to grrrryhound "deployment of large amount of troops including those sent to Asia because of the Tsunami has left minimal troops here to train, and a fluid defense budget"
My comment was the following:
"No Contract awards since the Tsunami?
The Tsunami occurred 12/29 - so does this mean there were no training contract awards in the industry over the last 30 days?"
I guess the procurement industry did not go on vacation in January as Kelly speculated...IMO the deployment to Asia was minimal and short lived and a total non-issue.
Relationships - Relationships - Parters
VTSI IMO will not win many bids on their own - they may win onesy - twosy deals but to be part of the big ones they need to partner with the likes Lockheed Martin like FATS is...
No Contract awards since the Tsunami?
"I asked why no announcements and the appearance of loss of momentum. Several reasons were given: Not announcing anything until signed contracts are in hand, deployment of large amount of troops including those sent to Asia because of the Tsunami has left minimal troops here to train, and a fluid defense budget."
The Tsunami occurred 12/29 - so does this mean there were no training contract awards in the industry over the last 30 days?
Kind of lame...
I thought there was going to be $10M by 3/31 - 1 month down 2 to go in Q1
Go Patriots!
Freddy Mitchell meet Rodney Harrison - Ouch!!!! Can you say alligator arms...
Taking it up a Notch!
Well in mid Dec the stock was in the low .40's - now it's at $.33 down 30% - that's taking it up the keister....
The 12/31 report is the audited report with an update on the company litigation and other matters - full disclosure. 1 Month down 2 to go in Q1 and no news??? Where's the revenue?
Someone in the know is selling off a position and doing it smartly - not all at once to but a couple hundred thousand a day as the price drops a couple cents a day. And as the troops get restless the handful of faithful keep the troops in check...
If so many good things were happening there would plenty of support at these low levels IMHO
Don't worry be happy...
David
I agree - Profitable sales and positive cash flow cure many ills of a company.
Since the .com bubble burst the OTCBB has not reocvered - making all BB companies be current on their SEC filings to retain their market status was a very good thing IMO
Good luck and take care
David
In 2000 - price was around $1 - probably when the float was around 5M shares

Another buying opportunity for the faithful?
From Just Another Fool: "I have no plans to sell any VTSI this year. I may add. I advise "accumulate on dips until you can't justify spending any more"."
Now that's what I call sound advice...

A phone call to management? Mgmt is going to come clean and admit they don't have the right experience? A classic line -"they don't know what they don't know"
Paul P - in jail? What did he do?
Why would I go to jail for posting facts and opinions?
The Problem
Some people have "full faith in the CEO" - my question is why? What is his background at running a company? He started this public shell as a brewery and it went bankrupt. He is a lawyer - I am sure he knows how to write briefs, file and defend lawsuits.
But in the whole scheme of things he has no background in running a criminal/army training company. They've changed business plans about 3 or 4 times in the last 5 years.
This ship has no direction - do lawyers make good ceos?
Time will tell

Great post! I love the line "Underpromise and overdeliver". I work for a NYSE $900M company and our CEO tries to do just that - set "The Street's" expectations at X EPS and then beat it by .05 or so every qtr. "The Street" - in this VTSI's case investors/shareholders do not like to be surprised or disappointed. Kelly has been overly optimistic for years IMO and very little has come of it to date.
By the way the Major has a great bio and strikes me as a good candidate for a "Board of Directors".
If this company is ever going to get off the BB - then a BOD is needed...
Take care
Sir Felix
I too thought the PR was lightweight - lol. It's kind of nice to watch someone else get ripped a new one when they don't follow the straight and narrow as directed by the old guard.
The question is where's the BEEF?
Weo
It was a direct quote from you from this post - that's why I put quotes around it. I didn't put any words in your mouth.

Emailing Kelly daily? Is that what this band does? You would think the great visonary and the man that is steering this ship would be out doing presentations, trying to make sales, customer visits...and not replying to emails all day
Do lawyers/non- technical CEOs make good salesman or pitchmen for the company?
Take care
Even Weo!!!

Interesting - You said: "I would like to see more people on this board holding management accountable when parts of the business plan are delayed or not reached."
Exactly what I have been doing when the missed deadlines revenue and profit targets have been missed over the years. Even Weo is getting frustrated...
Too many Pom Pom waivers and Kelly is god IMO posters. It's your $ and there are many places to invest it...time with no gain in the investment is just a lost opportunity...
Be well

With all due respect assuming Marketbyte sells or has sold their 1,000,000 shares at $.30 or $300K plus the $25K = $325K.
Do you think THEY were the ones responsible for the stocks move from the low to the current #?
FWIW these type of firms are "pump and dump" outfits IMHO.
$25K is alot of $ for VTSI and dilution to the outstanding with the million shares.
The company's progress is what made the stock move because if no debt reduction and revenue sales no promotion in the world won't make it move.
The real issue at this time IMO is NO VOLUME....
Take care

You really are an arse. It was a bullet as you know - I made a small amt of $ there at the end of the day and gave most of the gains back when the stock was going down. Sold long before the ship went down.
Looks like you've got alot of eggs in this basket - I'm no expert Mr chip on his shoulder
12/31 Predictions
On 9/14 the price was $.35 and the board was asked to provide price predictions for 12/31. Now on 10/25 the price is still $.35
My prediction on 9/14 was a range of $.25 to $.50 and a 12/31 price of $.25 due to end of year tax selling.
Greg's prediction was $1.00
Sir Felix - David's was $.65
Well I was right on the range - though never hit $.50 but did go to the low $.40's for a short time but wrong on the final # looks like a close in the high $.30's
Happy New Year to all

Paul - you said "VTSI issues equity all the time"
Stock the company's only real asset and their funding source until they become cash flow positive.
The days of low float and outstanding from a few years ago are no longer.

Communication is a good thing - as Wise said you need to read between the lines of Real vs Fluff.
No Ceo will says things are bad - they usually have the most # of shares and the most to lose or gain.
If you build it they will come - you don't need to rewrite every pr - JMO
I heard the con call as well it was like old home week between Kelly and the 3 shareholders who went to the expo. One tough question regarding 2005 #'s and it was avoided. Certainly not visionary stuff - he's a lawyer.

VirTra Systems Hires National Sales Director
August 26, 2002
Friends and Shareholders:
Attached please find this morning's press release announcing our hiring of Mr. Tom Milks as our national sales director.
We are most pleased with this development, as Mr. Milks is very well known and well-proven in the virtual reality industry, by reason of his prior efforts on behalf of Virtuality, which was the leading virtual reality company in the early 1990s. Mr. Milks will be assisting primarily in the promotional/advertising market, and we expect him to have an immediate impact upon our revenue.
Our training/simulation initiative into the Homeland Security market is progressing well. I am aware that fruition of this project has taken longer than we initially anticipated, and that we have not been specific about our efforts. However, it seems only logical to me that the nature of these projects is extremely sensitive, and thus we are not allowed to discuss specifics or the agencies with whom we have been in continued dialogue.
I can, however, advise you that our efforts have broadened, and that we have been in continued dialogue with several agencies regarding interactive educational technology for advanced training purposes. After a series of meetings, specific design of two separate product lines has resulted, and we are currently building a prototype for one particular agency. Any further comment would simply be inappropriate at this point.
Please let me also state that, unlike the thousands of companies who are trying to get their foot in the door in our country's focus on Homeland Security, in our case governmental agencies approached us and inquired about our company making products to meet their needs.
Wise/Paul/Sir
Best quality posts in a long time. Wise the SEC filing which is audited will tell you where the company is at regarding the lawsuits - you won't see it until 4/15. Kelly's fluff letters have been the same for the past 3 yrs - also how many ceos write a letter after every pr? Gets kind of old after awhile - I know he's communicating with the shareholder base. You would think the pr would stand on it's own merits...
Tim
Unfortunately it took a tidal wave and 60,000 people to die as the reason for the stock to move.
Wealth
Sales will do the trick...
Sir
Agreement on #3 - not fixed but major progress. #1 - large sales?
#2 Fired and hired the right people - per who the current mgmt? Of course Kelly CEO, CFO and legal counsel would think so. Time will tell but if they have the best products then sales mgmt could be better I would think as well and they do not have a seasoned financial mgr do they?
Q4 results - historically they wait until thet last possible day to announce and based on the fact these are fiscal year ending the #'s and the full year filing needs to be audited so look for them 4/15 as in the past.
Good luck and take care
Bunny
No sales PR's or realistically said very few. Nothing material post the big expo...
Talk is cheap - the company has been bidding for the last 3 years or so. Closed large opportunities is what the market wants.
If the product is "state of the art" and the "best out there" with the large pockets and funding for this type of technology from the DOD and the US Govt then PO's should be coming their way. Why not?

Have you made $ yet? You don't make $ until you sell at a profit...There have been a number of spikes and Dutchess is the one who has made $ to date on their investment so far selling into the strength.
The stock is making a nice move at this point on good volume

Greg/Ceres/Weo
I believe Ceres was asking before he got attacked (by Weo of course the most insecure person here) is does Vitra have the infrastructure in place to deliver on large orders should they materialize? Funding is needed - very low number of employees for VTSI - could not verify as there is no company profile in Yahoo.
FATS has 420 employees per their profile and announced a funding agreement in the last 6 mos or so...this allows them to meet and deliver on their contract awards.
Honest question Ceres just looking for answers to...
Greg's Post from the Show
"The show is awesome and we are very impressed by what we have seen." Would you expect anything different...he could have written the words last week and put it on timed mail.
PO's speak volumes or the lack thereof
Yo Russ
So with that logic - why didn't VTSI release their sales they closed just prior to the show?
I guess the powder is wet and not dry like everyone has been selling...
At the end of the day....
To coin a phrase...
It seems the shareholders of VTSI think their technology is "superior". It does not matter what YOU think. The decision makers who issue purchase orders are all that matter.
It seems to me the PO's are going FATS way. Why? I don't know for sure but they have the capacity and the funding to produce the products and training in volume and they appear to have a more broader product line.
Obviously FATS is more established and VTSI is just getting rolling but you would think there would be more news...
VTSI needs funding to build infrastructure and a money source better than shylocks like Dutchess. IMHO

Nice to see some posts with some thought which IMO is what these boards are for...
Weeble/All
We already played that game. My prediction on 9/14 was a range of $.25 to $.50 and a 12/31 price of $.25 due to end of year tax selling. Greg said a $1 and Sir Felix $.65.
27 days to go....

I am not being negative but just providing my opinion. Then the selling by end of year begins for the ones who chose to get their shares right away so they can writeoff their losses on 4/15.
