Those apps will look/work better on an iPad. It's faster and has a bigger screen.
Stop by, say, the Palo Alto Apple Store and check it out.
I'll bet it has multitasking soon, too.
No cost if it's a WiFi only model on sale now.
If you get the forthcoming 3G iPad model AT&T will charge you by the month a max of 29.95. The contract/charges are month to month, not two years at a time.

Analyst: Apple sold 600-700 thousand iPads the first day:
"Munster said his team counted 730 people at Apple’s 5th Ave. store this morning. To compare to previous launches at the same location, there were 350 people in line for the iPhone 3GS and 540 for the iPhone 3G launch."

After working in my office most of the day I got to an Apple Store about 4PM Sat. It was swarming with the curious, the fans and many others . . . often elbow to elbow. A staff person I know there said it had been pretty much the same since opening. I had to wait 15+ minutes to get my paws on an iPad. In the interim I watched all sorts of people explore the 10 plus demo units. My impression is that people had a hard time putting the things down . . . more so than other Apple products.
The 16Gig model had sold out, the others available. I restrained myself.
On balance, I'm very impressed with the iPad; the potential for the device, the applications both in software and types of users is sky high, IMO; it's of course at the very beginning of development and evolution.
Apps designed for the iPad looked very nice during my 20 min exploration period. Like others have said it feels heavier than 1.5 lbs. I also feel the home button should probably be a bit larger or different in some way. I prefer non glossy screens. The photo and iBook apps were especially impressive as was Safari which displayed charts, broker apps and other financial stuff very well. YouTube and movies were excellent, too. There were no apps built for the iPad I disliked; I just liked some more than others.
The iPad story is going to be a terrific one to read and learn from in the weeks, months and years ahead.
I will buy one at some point, but not sure when . . . it will certainly cut into notebook use for myself and countless others.
Apple has a winning product here; it will be industry changing. It's earning a significant place in the history of technology at this point already.
Flash Comes to the iPad… At Least for Advertisers:

Can other applications be far behind?
No, I did not pre-order.
I do intend to buy one, but have not decided how soon. I could end up waiting for G2.
That aside, I have decided it's going to be an important device with many applications I can use. Just one is using it as a quick second screen for short term trading, on, off very quickly, works with Stockcharts, etc. One of my favorite brokers has a very nice app for it, too.
I love to read and get news off the net . . . I really want the nice screen size, 1.5 lb computer, kinda ideal . . . so I'll be at a local Bay Area store checking it out tomorrow.
I expect 1 or 2 OS updates in the next year and gobs of third party ad on enhancements for the iPad, in addition to many more neat apps than I'll ever be able to use.
That and AAPL's management of product development and evolution with iTunes for purchasing books, apps, syncing, backup, 10+ hour battery life, etc. adds to the value of an iPad.
The Kindle app has now been updated for the iPad.
It's going to be interesting to see how sales develop via AMZN to iPad (and iPhone and iPT) users compared to other suppliers. And as you probably know there are Kindle apps for the PC and Mac, too. Where will they sell the most books outside of their own devices? When I buy a book or get a sample from AMZN I have it sent to all of my computers. I suspect quite a few do the same.
Rumored iPhone OS multitasking would use Exposé-like feature:
http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2010/03/rumored-iphone-os-multitasking-would-use-expose-like-feature.ars
If so, I expect to see multitasking on the iPad, too.
. . . iPad OS update before the holidays or maybe even before school starts in September?
In the last hour I've noticed quite a few of my iPT apps (10 so far) have been updating to dual Touch and iPad status. In the case of the iPad I assume that's full screen and resolution for the device.
FAS turned Up about five minutes before the close today.
iPad apps are now live at the App Store on iTunes.
Model is contracting: FAS trending Down at 98.90.
iPad apps: 1,350 and counting:

See anything you want?
You guessed it, FAS Up since the opening this first day of April.
Note there's also an "open and close inside the band" on 3 Feb 2010.
Also, in particular, note price action in the following three sessions.
FAS, Down, about 10 minutes ago.
I pay about $450 a year for a metro newspaper subscription while I get most of my news from the web. I also spend $200+ per year for other paper products for reading. If I cancel or seriously reduce those types of costs I easily pay for an iPad in a year or two.
I reduce clutter in the house and I organize what I want to save electronically.
That's just the beginning . . .
AAPL's new suite of videos presenting the primary apps for the iPad are available on YouTube:

FAS 30 min chart Up shortly after 1500 (NYT).
Whip potential at these Daily chart levels is considered very high.
Although FAS turned Up premarket it was not sustained and reversed before the open at 0930.
FAS is presently trending Down.
If the present trend (rising) in the futures market continues, FAS (30 min chart) will turn Up in the premarket Monday AM. 98.15 or higher, if sustained, will result in another, at least short term, Bullish move.
