Regarding online efforts to bring down SNPW, I most certainly agree.
A big one I'm seeing is that our Solar Patents aren't meaningful. This fails for a number of reasons. One being... the USPTO ( I think I said that right) doesn't just hand those things out. It takes a lot of time and effort to get a patent!
Someone trying to bash on Reddit said that you can just Google 'non-glass solar" and find plenty of alternatives. So... I did it. Guess what... Nothing jumps out. If someone is saying that there is a better, cheaper alternative, then the burden of proof is on them to demonstrate a specific product that is...Noo one has though I've asked quite a few times.
If there's something better out there, please let me know and I'll invest in that! Until then... I'm not going to buy into vague and source-less statements about our patents.
We are in a good spot and I agree that people should not sell their shares based on hit pieces with an agenda. I hope Nick comes out with some Solar news soon and we can dispel all the speculation and bad info out there.
GLTA!
Right???
There is a lot of uncertainty being priced in here, where there really isn't much.
I think the market misses the 'safest' investments because of misconceptions about penny stocks. Well, not really misconceptions... there are a ton of pumps and scams out there... but chances are that when you fund a real legit company with a stand up CEO doing real, legit things... chances are it's undervalued.
One person in the meeting comments said.." I'm for recycling unless it's in my backyard." Yeah.. you and everyone else.... but all these people throwing up opposition fail to consider what will happen in 2030 when the landfill... fills up. Like they said... no one wants stuff in their backyard, so what other state/municipality do they think is going to want to take THEIR trash?? It goes both ways.
Anyway, if you give all these petitioners a choice between a landfill bursting at the seems or a job generating entity with no emissions that will save that space for years to come... .. the choice seems to be a no-brainer
GLTA
This is the article from today.
https://eastgreenwichnews.com/caldwell-valverde-oppose-proposed-medical-waste-facility/
There is a petition but without any science or data behind it, it won't mean much.
State roads, different jurisdiction, no air impact. These people don't have any standing. Over 95% of people signing this petition did not attend the hearing/info session, and would have no real actual knowledge of what is being done here.
article says they have a petition with 2,000 signatures...
That said...
It's happened many times where someone has 'approached' (accosted!) me to sign something or other. I try to make it a point not to sign unless I really agree, but I have seen people sign stuff just to be nice or whatever.
Easy to say a couple of (fake) talking points here and get someone on your side.. I imagine the vast majority of the 2,000 people have no idea what they signed or worse, have a very misleading idea of what they signed.
I agree with that. DEM has done their DD and then some. They'll read and respond to reasonable comments, then make their decision. They are not coming into this out of left field.. They'll know all the answers they're going to give, and will probably have some intern copy-pasting prepared responses to the majority of questions.
Not to say that they won't give full weight and consideration to this stuff... just that I doubt a whole lot of new items will come up that they had not considered.
My guess is late May/early June for an approval, bond money release, and grand opening.
I usually try to be conservative, but in this case... who cares? 90 days is not really that long. Maybe it will be approved after just a week or two, maybe it will be a month or two... Who knows?
The way I see it, it's like trying to determine if I'm eating steak and lobster tonight at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, or 7:30. Yeah I might get hungry and prefer to eat a bit sooner.... but eather way, I'm eating steak and lobster*
(*note that this is all hypothetical.. I'm probably just eating cereal tonight lol)
That was actually an 'information session'. There is a hearing in March, but it's not for ALL of this, just the water.
"DEM is holding a formal hearing on Medrecycler-RI’s application for a major source permit for water discharge on Monday, March 15. Interested parties can submit comments in advance of the hearing to DEM’s Office of Land Revitalization and Sustainable Materials Management (yan.li@dem.ri.gov)."
We still have the hearing where people can log their concerns and objections.. but if it's anything like what we've seen thus far, it's going to be a lot of non-scientific "we want more money" concern. That's just not going to cut it.
Nick has spent years going through all of the numerous steps. We have dotted 'i's and crossed 't's at every turn.
The public comment period is kind of silly anyway. DEM has THOROUGHLY reviewed this. It's not like a comment is going to create some kind of "Oh, we didn't think of that" moment.
Hopefully we have some big solar news to keep us distracted while we wait for all this to get resolved!
Yep.
It's tricky because most long-term longs are holding ( I am holding mine)… but not really in a position to buy more... So... you've got a lot of holders who are bullish on the stock, but not in a position to buy more and support the price. Lends itself to MMs doing all sorts of crazy things, especially when something negative comes.
This is the article yesterday which is spooking some people. I think it's pretty good, actually.. At least it presents both sides.
https://eastgreenwichnews.com/caldwell-valverde-oppose-proposed-medical-waste-facility/
As another poster mentioned, a big part of this is that they're jealous and want to financially benefit. It's right there in the article!
MMs are going to use this to drive down the price and get some cheap shares. Like I said, I got some cheap shares last year when something like this came, so I say bring it on. Quote from the article.
"“If there are any potential emissions, they are destroyed. In the case of this facility, the chance of fugitive emissions is zero,” Bingham said. “I’d be happy to put this in my garden.” "
Ultimately, all of this noise is going to cause many ups and downs until ultimate approval... but there are no emissions. I believe and hope the science is going to prevail. All opinions of course.
GLTA!
There were 600k on the ask at .165 a few minutes ago. Largest I've seen in a while.
I missed whether that got picked up or not. We certainly went beyond that... but I hope if someone was messing around, that someone else snapped those up and the MM learned their lesson! :)
Great synopsis.
I'll give them a little credit, though.. If someone just hears a few tidbits here and there, I can understand their concern and I wouldn't attribute it to 'snobbishness'. That's reasonable.
Problem is... reps make a big deal to appease constituents, and then constituents get riled up and make a big deal which gets reps more fired up, and on and on the cycle goes.... and moves further and further away from actual 'facts'.
If someone has opposition or concern based on fact, then great.. Let them speak and be heard. However, my sense is that very few people expressing problems have actually done the research.
I do want to thank whoever did a hit piece last year as I got some shares pretty cheaply.
I agree. That's been the difference from the very beginning.
If they want to get in on the financial gains.... we can probably set one up in their town too! :) :) :)
Thanks for posting this. It does seem that opposition is more window-dressing than based in fact. If I represented constituents in that area, I'd probably come out against it too. Lot of risk and no gain to take the other stance.
As far as how this will affect the stock.... We may see ups and downs through this process, but I get the sense that the inevitable conclusion ( based on all the actual scientific analysis) is that it is safe and will go through... and so when that happens, all the buildup from uncertainty around approval will be unleashed and we can move closer to true value.
Fun ride ahead!
Man this one is a mess. Sell if you need to, buy if you want to, but given the volatility and some of the trades I've seen, I'd be very careful before entering any kind of stop loss. I'm not a big fan of those anyway, but especially not here.
I just saw a spread of 1.1 cents.. Shares were being traded at 18.09, and then a few sells went off at 17 cents, looks like a few stops got triggered. All those people could have sold seconds before, and seconds after, for 18 cents.
Just my opinion here... but I hate to see people miss out on funds because of those stops.
GLTA!
If he have 'bud' stops, this thing is definitely going parabolic! LOL. Never tried the stuff myself, but everyone else seems pretty high on it :) :)
Good point.. Even if some of us wanted to sell, the shares are 'locked up' by the government since short term capital gains are high.
I am way too cheap to sell and pay that rate. Even if I was tempted, there are so many near term catalysts that make me want to hold. Frankly, i'm glad the government is effectively forcing me to so I don't even have to wrestle with the decision :)
Someone is messing around big time.
Last price 17.7 cents but the bid is at 18.2 cents. I think the drive the price low with a few shares and then scoop up from sellers. Not that this is news to anyone here, but just crazy to see.
All their messing around isn't going to change the trajectory we have going here though!
How many more days to move off the pinks? End of next week?
Shrimpies are at 81 cents. Can we beat them to a dollar?
Love seeing $0.20!!
my first time here in a few weeks, so forgive me for being ignorant on this stuff. I agree that he has no jurisdiction.. I guess I was thinking that there's be some way to delay disbursement of the funds or issue some kind of injunction until it can be established whose money it actually is.
I haven't paid as much attn lately and whatever I did know I forgot, so my apologies for getting after the horse. Let's make some glue and move on.
Have a good day sir!
The only thing that can help shorts now is the bell in 20 minutes. They're like a boxer against the ropes. Can they make it to the bell or will the capitulate.
So much fun to watch every day. Why did I ever like weekends LOLOOLOOOLOL :) :) :)
God Bless all!
Half cent gap between bid and ask. Who is going to sell into those bids with such a gap? MM trading must be all that's going on.. The ask at .178 is just 5k shares.
Where do we close?????????
AHAHAHA... That's the worst motivation you could give me for holding on to these shares. :) I hope to use gains for good and not be the kind of person who just says that but then changes course when it actually happens.
For the record, its not money that's the root of all evil, but the love of money.
I hope everyone here has some plans to go some good stuff and make a positive difference in the world.
GLTA!!!!
I look at these asks and it seems like MMs playing around trying to keep the rise slow and steady.
A few weeks back we were seeing 100'sM in volume and we know the true longs here were holding, so it must have been a few shares trading back and forth a bunch of times.
If the MMs weren't swapping shares back and forth, it seems like we'd be higher as the sentiment around here seems very positive and I don't see a lot of interest in selling at these prices.
Personally, I may not be strong enough to hold for paper (I hope so!) but I'm certainly not selling here regardless. Seems like most of us aren't either and so the uptrend should continue.
Good luck everyone!
Nice! Thanks for sharing that.
My guess is that the space panels themselves aren't going to make us a fortune... But the exposure from that ("If this is the best product for space, then maybe it's the best product anywhere") is what will be more meaningful..
That's just a guess. Maybe there's more money in space than I'm aware of :).
Congrats to all on another great day here!
Would love it you would review the TRO at some point and provide your thoughts. While we are planning to pursue legal action, there are many things that have been considered in the meantime and I'd be curious to hear your take on whether those things would make a difference.
A personal letter to the Judge, for instance. Does that have any impact? A petition to the court signed by a majority of shareholders?
Generally speaking, the plan is to take action once a decision comes or money changes hands, but are there any additional steps you can think of that might be worth looking at?
No need to post them here. A PM to Tony or someone like that would be just fine. Thanks for your presence and insight!
Over 500,000 on the bid at $0.15 now.
Let's see if that fills. My guess is there aren't that many sellers. we'll see.
Congrats!
400k now on the bid at $0.15.
This run has been accompanied by, or perhaps driven by, HUGE bids. Someone with a lot of money wants shares.
Do you think UL certification would have any impact on NASA? My guess is no.. I'm sure it's a whole different level of testing for that sort of thing.
That said, whatever it is, I'm sure we're looking into it. It is still interesting that SpaceX is tagged in that post. Maybe some necessary testing was done behind the scenes... or, like you said, maybe the epoxy was changed.
Good point!
Seems like for these prices, Elon would just make an offer for SNPW. Once UL comes through, I wouldn't be shocked if someone makes an offer.
Wouldn't that be amazing if we were a part of SpaceX? And yet... it makes so much sense. Elon likes cutting edge, and we are cutting edge. Would make perfect sense.
When do you think this would be officially announced if your guess is correct?
Who would want to be short at this point? Who looks back and wish they'd shorted Gamestop when it was 5 bucks. I'm not a huge fan of shorting, but it's legal and part of the game, so I get it... but just on common sense... there really are a ton of junkers in penny land. No offense to anyone, that's just how it is.
Here we have a patent that could revolutionize the solar industry and even if we lose all that, we have MedRecylcer that could revolutionize the industry. All in a very short timeframe. Shorts could get burned 2 ways, and really more if you count the bus shelters and all.
I'm sure they have some metrics somewhere that tell them this is a good short opportunity, but all those numbers don't take into account the real life scenarios that computers can't account for. In the world series this year, the computers said to pull the pitcher in the last game. Everyone watching from both teams, all the fans, etc. knew it wasn't the right move. The coach trusted the computers and they lost the game. Shorts here are in the same boat. Computers, metrics, bands are one thing, but those don't account for the many longs here who are going to refuse to sell until big news hits... and by then it may be too late to cover. Best of luck to all here.
... and don't get me wrong.. I'd LOVE to see a squeeze, it could send us to the stratosphere.. just trying to give a PSA to folks so no one feels like they weren't warned.
Have a great Sunday everyone!
Thank you for this post! I signed up for UL Labs and read all of the requirements of this specific certification.
You are right, he was right on it, applying days after it was announced. The longer we wait, the bigger a deal it's going to be, so I can definitely be patient.
Maybe ours is already completely approved, and they're just waiting for a basket of other things to announce at that same time?
And if Darwin and JC can agree on something... you know it's a good investment! :) :) :)
You guys worry way too much about these others that aren't even close to being our competition.
If another penny stock is doing well... Great! Doesn't take anything from us.
We have a great future and could go up 10-15x in the the next 4 months. Not saying it absolutely will happen.. just that it could.
I refuse to be unhappy if another stock goes up 20x during that time. We are on an amazing run and just getting started. Plenty to focus on here without worrying about others.
Seriously.. this is a once in a lifetime run for some people. Find a way to enjoy it, because we have a ways to go.
Have a great weekend!
I know right! At least you're not sweating a short position hoping no news comes out though! :)
And... At least we know that while the markets are closed Nick is working like crazy. He seems like such a decent guy who's worked so hard for so long and put so much into it.Really happy for him how things are turning out, and this is just the beginning.
Have a good one!
It's true, but this is a fairly rare situation. I'd say most here think fair value is far higher than where we are, but most, at least those who've been here for a while... are probably up.
Especially with Covid going on.. for those of us without a ton extra, it's a tough choice made daily.
So yes, everyone has a trigger point for sure... but it's tempting to take some cash at lower than one's true analyzed 'trigger point' and that's where the issue comes. Once everyone who 'needs' a few bucks sells and takes that profit, then we can get past that and move closer to fair value and trigger points driven by numbers rather than external factors.
Have a nice weekend all!!!
Boom! You guys make me realize how little I know this stuff. Someone called 12 an hour ago and here it is.
Makes me glad I'm an investor and not a trader. SNPW is an investment, and I'm excited to hold it!
Love seeing this! It's going to be such a strong close into the weekend.
Friday trading is always big to me... Are people wanting to be out of something before a weekend, or are they wanting to be in?
The FOMO is strong with this one.. It seems people don't want the weekend to hit and them be empty handed.
Love this stock!!!
I mean there are a near infinite number of molecules in the universe that are in the same boat of being in the universe, so we can do this all day.
My point is that you said 'great find'... and I'm simply noting that my find is no more or less great than whatever you found that brought you to this board.
Anyway... are there plans to restart operations at some point? I'm curious why price has appreciated. It seems without additional funding there's not much going on... and if it wasn't profitable from 2011-2013, I'm not clear why someone would want to add more capital now.
We're in the same boat because we're both here on this board talking about this company, that's all.
Other than a few cents invested to 'bookmark' it, I have no money in this either.
