Why are people still responding to this guy? All he wants is a reaction, why give him one?
I bet it's rennov8 and jerseyfish holding us down. Jk lol. But seriously where'd you guys go? Lose the faith?
That's what I'm hoping for. They recently tried to pull a fast one on us though.

Here in South Carolina, despite an abundance of sun, no homes have solar. We do however, have solar panels on streetlights EVERYWHERE. We also have them on every road construction portable generator light tower.
Here in backwards ass South Carolina, homeowners only have solar panels on calculators.
Just that we purchased SUNworks 2.8mil
Nothing special
The reason he's biting his tongue is the reason I'm still here. I'm convinced there is a rabbit in this hat but Jim can't pull it out just yet.
Thanks for sharing
Great article. When I'm on a sales call for decorative concrete It's almost ways the wife that makes the final decision on the purchase. I learned early on to always direct the pitch towards the wife because I'd doesn't matter what the husband thinks lol
You're not butting in, it's an open forum here.
Nelson said his plan is to reduce the cost of solar energy by 50%. The only reason people lease solar now is because it's too expensive to buy outright, like a car. Cut the cost in half and you reduce the duration and in some cases even the need for leases.
lol #5
This is an existing market though. Early adapters have already paid the premium price for solar and everyone else is waiting for new "affordable state of the art systems" which Nelson is promising to bring.
The pricing model you're referring to with early adapters is called "skimming the market" and it uses higher prices so fewer sales are needed to break even. It's usually used to reimburse the cost of R&D and manufacturing. Jim didn't take loans and is leasing the lab to keep R&D costs low so he doesn't have to skim the market.
He's a smart man and wants an aggressive entry. I bet he will use somewhat of a predatory pricing model and drive competitors out of the market.
This doesn't make sense. The whole point of the solar3d panel is to get higher efficiency at a cheaper price. That's why we're all here.
I expected a stronger argument than that:)
Can't really argue over theories and speculation though. Thanks for your opinions
Why is that?
Very true. I thought about that too. I just don't think SUNworks would want to even set a date for the new solar panels since doing so could drastically lower sales.
I own and operate a small decorative concrete overlay installation company and I, like SUNworks, rely on providing free estimates for sales calls. I wouldnt dare let customers know of a better product until i was ready to offer it to them. If any of my potential customers knew that in several months or even next year that I would be providing a lower cost higher quality product, they would wait and It would hurt sales in the short term. People that tend to purchase my product, which is purely decorative, are usually wasteful spenders. As apposed to someone purchasing solar panels who is doing so to save money.
SUNworks wasn't acquired so they can sit around and wait for the new panels. They were acquired to make us WAM until the real money starts coming in through licensing and manufacturing of the new panels.
Great points. What if the installation company is only doing poorly because of location and or saturation of the local market? We could bring them in under sunworks name and fill all those positions that are vacant right now. Looking at their careers page its obvious that Sunworks is out for growth. It's easier for the big fish to eat a little fish when the little fish is about to go belly up.
You may be right but I don't know. We have a smart successful installation company that is looking for employees. Sunworks is growing and theyre known for having great management. If I were Jim I would be looking for a reputable company that isn't doing as well as they can be and merge them with sunworks utilizing their management and filling vacant positions. We can cheaply acquire a company that is struggling and turn them into a top performer using sunworks and our 3d panels.
Also, maybe we shouldnt just focus on forward integration. Perhaps we can anticipate some backward integration. There are plenty of old or struggling manufacturing facilities that we can aquire.

It seems to me that it would be wise for solar3d to release as little information on the solar panels as possible. We need sunworks to be installing as much as possible while working towards commercialization of the 3d panels. If sunworks customers knew that the new 3d panels would be available for purchase in the near future, they may choose to hold off and save some money by going with the new technology. I have the sneaking suspicion that one day we are going to wake up and find out that we are much further along then we are being led to believe.
News on the panels may help the share price but it also may hurt revenue. Just a thought

Solar is on the best performing stocks lost for 3month 6month and 1 year!

Hahaaahah! I always thought it was "baby what you want to do"
Wow. Anyone else invested that long? Or even close?
I just realized i left off a bunch of names. Too many intelligent posters to list!
Yea he wouldn't be with sltd if he didn't see the potential, it's a no-brainer. He could be making more than he is now somewhere else, with less stress.
Side note: I'm up 171% in a virtual stock trading competition here at the University. There's still 30 days left for the competition to end so a lot can happen, but I am well in the lead. Winner gets a Microsoft tablet! I just wanted to thank renov8, Swaiimica, cerp, chink, tommy john, db, and the rest that have been posting on here since I first started watching the board in November. I didn't know squat about trading at the time but through reading your posts i have learned a lot. I wouldnt even be a competitor in the competition if it wasn't for you guys. Special thanks to rennov8 for getting me into technical analysis. Good luck to everybody, with this investment and in life. Great group of people here.
This is why his salary is what it is.
Thanks tommy, me too.
It was actually my 7th post ever and I said I should have stuck in onvo. Glad I didn't!
How much longer can we drop or move sideways? Excellent question. Not much longer in my opinion and if we aren't going down or sideways there is only one other direction for this sicker to go... UP!
I lost almost all faith back in dec/jan but I didn't sell. I even put some bids in then canceled them. I glad I didn't sell.
A few weeks or months from now when the price is way up I will look back at this time and laugh, just as I laugh when I look back at december/Jan. I know I'm a big "pumper" on here but if you look back at my 3rd or 4th post ever, you will see me complaining about price and how I should have stuck with some MJ stock.
Yea there's money to be made out there elsewhere and when we see others jump a few 100% in a day it kind of stings. But it also reminds me that it's possible for us to move up like that and our time is coming.
I saw that earlier today. Crazy
Lol that would certainly produce some mixed emotions for me. It would have to move QUICK for me to miss it and not cancel my order in time. I check Scottrade every 30 seconds lol
I have seen a lot of info for both sides of the argument. I haven't made up my mind yet and just to be safe I locked mine in. It may or may not help but it definitely won't hurt.
I can only lock in at .30 on scottrade. Weird
Who on this board has their holdings locked in?
Tried to lock mine at a dollar on scottrade but it wouldn't let me go that high.
Lock in your shares folks.

Guess the bill isn't quite what they're advertising it as.
They'll be thanking us pretty soon.
Lol I got my mom in lowest at .04 and highest .11. I also got my girlfriend in at .095 and she refuses to talk about it until the price goes back up. They're both being more patient than some people on the board though haha
It's illegal here but I only live10mins from my street pharmacist so no stress for me either haha.
Maybe a little anxiety about the SUNworks numbers though. I'm ready for some news!
The spread tightened up. They know we're onto them lol

Finally! South Carolina has been under the nuclear thumb for too long.
Yea he's certainly not a slacker. I don't think an email sits in his inbox for more than an hour or two before he responds.
I'm excited for the news. I bet we are all in for a surprise.
Sweet! Thank you
