Plasmon Superradiance w/ QDots...
..."could well herald a whole new field of plasmon-based optoelectronics."

It wasn't a 'sale', it was quote;
"850,000 common shares were transferred to a third party to repay a loan of an equivalent number of shares."
Better they use her shares to repay a loan, as opposed to taking it out of the O/S...it works4me anyway.

Still in-effect BK...all that's left is this putrid carcass for traders, sucking-up what little life suckers have left to feed it...SEC needs to put the final nail in the coffin for losing causes like this. By no measure is this viable ;(

If it doesn't in this instance...
it certainly could be , as can be seen in a number of forensics apps, potentially using QDots: https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&tab=nw&gws_rd=ssl#hl=en&q=forensics+quantum+dots

Spartak...
I don't have time to dig back thru the data at the moment but I definitely recall finding & posting some data that shows CdQD's are measurably better than Cd-free QD's. The use of Cadmium wasn't just an arbitrary choice of materials, it is known to produce the best results, which is likely QDVs' reasoning in sticking to their guns (albeit in a losing bid due to OEM PR preferences). Chessmite has some interesting data on the subject as well.
I'll try to find that later when I get more time. I seem to recall that QDV also put out some data on that as well.
No, on a personal basis, I can't say as I have, but I've been on receiving end of more than my fair share of losing propositions (to the tune of 80% of my modest portfolio), thanx to lowly R/S's. So you'll have to forgive me if I consider the words; R/S, fighting words. But conversely, I've taken note of a number of 'reputable' firms through the years , taking a more investor-friendly approach to boosting their PPS by way of alternate tools like buybacks & cancellation of shares. I vote for the later...but like you say, it doesn't much matter what 'we' think, the decisions ultimately lay with QMC mngmt alone. Next subject.........

Batterymakers See a Big Break Coming -- No, Seriously
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-10-16/batterymakers-see-a-big-break-coming-no-seriously-this-time
I've heard some talk that NASDAQ is considering lowering their entry requirements to encourage a larger number of 'viable' start-ups to join their ranks...which may help enable enterprises like QMC to uplist without nearly as much pain.
Afraid I'm going to strongly disagree there j45...
there are a host of viable options that do 'not' involve sticking it to the investors. I never saw a R/S I liked & I've been on the receiving end of far more than my share of them & have paid the price...verdict; Reverse Splits SUCK !
Among the (less harmful) tools at Steves' disposal to lower the SS-count to raise the PPS if needed, are share buybacks, retiring of shares (we saw some retired recently) & possibly some others options I'm not familiar with. Having a moderately-high sharecount (as we have now) isn't necessarily a bad thing either...it can be used as a tool to help protect the company from hostile takeovers. There is also the much-preferred option of having institutional backers stand behind us (possibly helping finance buybacks) while making the grade or better yet , producing enough self-sustaining revenues to advance QMC to the next level with the sharecount remaining as-is.. It doesn't have to always be about 'pain' & personally, I would feel betrayed if an R/S took place after riding this out for all these years.
If there are any splits coming down the line , let them be Forward Splits !
