GCHT - Hmm.. is this normal in 10-K?
Florida on GCHT board has pulled this out of the 10-K... doesn't read well. I had looked at 10-K earlier and couldn't find anything like revenues and stuff. I don't know if somehow they are going to pull a rabbit out of the hat but at the moment the PR's claim billions of revenue and the pps movements say "I don't believe you."
ITEM 6. MANAGEMENT’S DISCUSSION AND ANALYSIS OR PLAN OF OPERATION
We are a start-up, pre-exploration stage company, have a limited operating history and have not yet generated or realized any revenues from our exploration activities on our sole property, the VDC Claim.
Our auditors have issued a going concern opinion. This means that our auditors believe there is substantial doubt that we can continue as an on-going business for the next twelve months unless we obtain additional capital to pay our bills. This is because we have not generated any revenues and no revenues are anticipated until we begin removing and selling minerals. Accordingly, we must raise cash from sources other than the sale of minerals found on the VDC Claim. That cash must be raised from other sources. Our only other source for cash at this time is investments by others in the Company. We must raise cash to implement our planned exploration program and stay in business.
To meet our need for cash we must raise additional capital. We will attempt to raise additional money through a private placement, public offering or through loans. Our President has agreed to loan us up to a further $8,007, of which he has already contributed $26,993, on an ‘as needed’ basis over the coming year which will allow us to pay some of our immediate accounts payable such as auditors and transfer agent’s fee but will not allow us to pay our total accounts payable or those expenses to be incurred over the next twelve months. At the present time, we have not made any arrangements to raise additional cash from other sources. We require additional cash to continue operations. If we cannot raise it we may have to abandon our planned exploration activities until we do raise additional cash.
We estimate we will require $44,627 in cash over the next twelve months, including the cost of planned exploration work (as recommended in the Singh Report) on the VDC Claim. We estimate our cash on hand will not allow us to continue in business for not even a month and thereafter we will require our President advance funds to us (up to a further $8,007 as agreed) to enable us to partially finance our operations for the next 12 months.
We have no plant or significant equipment to sell, nor are we going to buy any plant or significant equipment during the next twelve months. We will not buy any equipment until we have located a body of ore and we have determined it is economical to extract the ore from the land.
We may attempt to interest other companies to undertake exploration work on the VDC Claim through joint venture arrangement or even the sale of part of the VDC Claim. Neither of these avenues has been pursued as of the date of this prospectus.
We do not intend to hire any employees at this time. All of the work on the property will be conducted by unaffiliated independent contractors that we will hire on an ‘as needed’ basis. The independent contractors will be responsible for such work including surveying, geology, engineering, exploration, and excavation. A geologist, Mr. Singh if he is available, will be hired to evaluate the information derived from any exploration work we undertake.

Not knowing anything about this... I assume this is a step required before uplisting to OTC?

Lack of information about the new factory. If they supply this information it will rocket. However, I suspect, that since they haven't said anything we'll have to wait a little longer.

Lifetech for sure had a postive effect. They also stated that their intention is to discontinue low margin distrubtion business and replace it with higher margin self-owed products. They quoted 6% of of revenue (think) was self owned in 2009 and they were looking to increase it.
Even if the revenue does not increase then the bottom line should show some growth.
rich
CHME - they are preferred stocks. Each stock cost $30 and is converted into 10 common. So, no, it will not count while in escrow.

My interpretation was that "limited production" meant production limited - but that's a guess.
The major reason I normally stay away from drug companies is approval. At least they haven't been asked to do more tests but it's worrying.
The Company has been in communication with the MOA and is currently working on reformatting the statistical data, based on MOA request, for resubmission in the near term.
Oh well, it's a 2% position (previously 3% ) So I am going to grin and bear it.
I was relistening to that bit. I need to listen again. My notes are currently:
rATDZ drug
Trial sales. Technology mature. Trial production was sucessful.
Where are we?
We only need approval.
Why open ended time of approval?
Talking to Ministry of Agriculture / burocratic process.
In Dec producing construction facility - still happening? Deposits for equpment and putting the facility together.
rich
CHME - they thought they would do the make good? I missed that bit. Clearly the market is thinking otherwise. Or wishful that they won't
rich
CHME - they have 2010 and 2011 estimates. I don't think there's a 2009 estimate to beat.
rich
Yeah, I was scratching my head over that... they aren't expecting that much revenue increase this year but were targeting margin expansion through focusing on their products with little competition.
During the CC...
In Nov 09 they integrated Life-techs products into CHME's distribution channel. Managing of Sales $2.2 M. So, they could do 2 M in business in around 2 months. Not bad.
Lifetech $6 - 8M revenue 40% gross margin - limited production (think, should check that again)
They also claim that lack of working capital affected Q4 (which they had announced previously in PR) So, I'm hoping they can get some more traction this year. Hm...
rich
As long as someone smarter than me is buying I'm alright with that
rich
Well, from what I can see they aren't asking for new data. Just resubmit the old data in different manner.
The rest of the business looks just fine - I am confused about how much dilution we are risking from OED without the rATDZ boost.

NEP not a moment too soon! Just before options expire

"China Medicine's proprietary recombinant Aflatoxin Detoxifizyme (rADTZ), used for removing aflatoxins in food and animal feed, is pending Chinese Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) approval."
Aflatoxins are created, I think, by fungi - so imagine some damp crops / storage and fugi growing on them - as they grow they produce aflatoxins.
Aflatoxins are pretty bad for humans to ingest but hooved animals are even more senstitive. Anything that could stop or reduce the effects would be a great boon to farming.

CCME: yes, 97 in IBD.
Red marks for accumulation of stock, EPS, Price and Market capitalistation; well I reckon that these will all sort themselves out sooner or later.
Interesting thing is that when I asked about why they had no data for CCME they claimed they would have to wait for more filing etc - clearly, that isn't the case. If they get interest they do something about it.
rich
I think it was more to do with the rATDZ approval being put back. I haven't lisented to CC but my guess is that drugs being released in China have been slowed down after the chief got his head chopped off, only in China.
But it might be that they need more results etc - record of CC available in the evening.

CHME - someone had posted previously from 8K about EBITA target of 25 Million for 2010 and 14 - 15 for 2009.
I wonder if this still stands? Assuming it's authentic... going to have to find out! I hate playing catchup.. clearly I've been lazy on the reasearch of this one.
In the Stock Subscription Agreement filed in an 8K today (Exhibit 10.1, page 29-30), the EBITDA target for 2010 is $25 million while the target for 2011 is $39 million (assuming the Jiangmen Acquisition is consummated during the 2010 or 2011 fiscal year). Investors can find this going to the SEC website: wwww.sec.gov and searching under "China Medicine". Investors should realize that based upon 9 months of EBITDA and a soft 4th quarter, EBITDA for 2009 might approach $14-$15 million. Thus, it appears that results for 2010 and 2011 are significantly stronger compared to 2009.

IMF into Greece was exactly the right thing - really we're not doooooomed.
This was my reply to the jittery Mr Hutton....
The IMF's major function is to help stricken countries. It was perverse that Europe thought that it could supply the credit, arm wrestle reforms, and monitor the outcomes at Greece. The only, stupefying, question was why the bobkins did they think they could? Why did they think there pride was a steak?
I think the answer is simply that Germany wanted the IMF from the start and France didn't. Why do I say that? Because the only person who can take on Mr Sarkozy in 2012 is Dominique Strauss-Kahn still a popular man in France[1]. His job, for those not in the know, is MD of the IMF. It feels to me that Sarkozy is more worried about his election than stability in Europe. Would he do that? Hmmm, no, no chance eh?
If your reasoning that were dooooomed because Germany is being truculent about letting a specialist help a stricken country then I think your wrong. The Germans did a good thing by dragging their feet and in so doing providing a sane way of helping a country; throwing money at a country without checks a safeguards is quite the opposite of sane.
I would agree that Germany needs to spend more - but I am not holding my breath. The same can't be said of China which is at least orchestrating a domestic spree.
China, is all about bark - yes they talk down the chances of revaluing the Yuan, however, they have also been testing what the affects would be of a modest Yuan rise. What happens when the US also gets tough with negotiation will be interesting but I don't think the forgone conclusion is economic-Apocalypse now.

NEP did an offerering that closed Sept 21st - I've got in my spreadsheet 29 Million as opposed to 25 million end of Q3. With weighted averages it's probably around 28 Million ish for the quarter.

On the positive side they had an average price of oil of $73 in Q4 vs $64 in Q3. So, my first take on earnings is $0.33.

NEP - Drilling in Q1
The utilization rate of our drilling services segment continues to rise with this new contract, and brings the total number of new wells drilled under contract since December 2009 to 85.
It would make sense that they reported quarterly but the language isn't very clear to me. Since Dec? Does it mean from start of Dec or since the end of Dec.
Am I being pedantic over the wording here?
rich
They are the numbers I got as well..
rich
The other comment I would make is that I read somewhere that summer is the weaker period for drilling as it rains more then. So Q4, Q1, some of Q2 should be the best months.
rich
Just about to point this line out
The value of this contract with PTR will be contingent upon the drilling depth of each of the 30 wells.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/China-North-East-Petroleum-prnews-3034265632.html?x=0&.v=10
So, it looks the the negotiation with PTR is for depth... so depth should be a proxy to revenue / income.
rich
Hello PB,
Where was the first 9 month statistic from? The aquisition 8K?
I have no idea how the contracts are done - Could be:
1) Fixed Per well (unlikely)
2) Hiring Per Week - which would correlate to amount drilled
3) Distance drilled.
Don't know how the industry charges.
rich
NEP - drilling - drilling is where it's at with NEP - I was trying to find out (but never did) how many feet they drilled in Q3 to give them the 20M revenue. That might give me an idea of how much they could do in Q4 - since they are, I and the market think given pps, low balling it.
Taking a silly example they could all be really shallow wells. This was the intersting thing from the PR.
Additionally, the Company's newly acquired oil drilling and service subsidiary, Tiancheng completed drilling contracts for 60 wells with total drilling depth of 99,161 meters (325,331 feet) in the fourth quarter of 2009.

Resource Tax
NEP - to keep in perspective if there's a hard sell off - I would be expecting over half of the income to be coming from drilling services now. If you look at post 2012 revenues then that's even higher % of drilling services - my guess 60% but this will be clearer after seeing the results.
Coal - would a 5% rise in coal cancel out 5% tax since in effect that 5% would go to the bottom line? Or would it take a larger rise?

China's resource tax
I keep reading the odd story about this - the money will go to the local governments so they are certainly up for it. I've also heard they might alter the oil tax.
http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTOE62F01Q20100316?type=marketsNews
China has sought to reform its resources tax since 2006, from one based on coal volume to one based on the market value of each tonne sold. The tax, which is currently a fixed charge per tonne, was expected to become a 3 percent levy on mine-month prices starting in April, according to BOC International.

I will take the board's advice / PM's etc.

PUDA, had clearer invester updates from Ouija board. The impression I got was that they had to get permission from local government to get going. That could happen in April or it could happen later. Then it would take time to ramp up to full utililistaion. So yes, there could be some waiting around. Then the upgrade by Oct / Nov and then 3 months before full utilisation.
The Jianhe consolidation project they were targeting for 2011 - based on fact it would have most affect on earnings.
