The issue of SEC 8-K reporting of materially significant events at Prodigy is an entirely different set of non-accounting regs.
-IMO.
Based on that, you're obviously better off!
These days nothing surprises me. Well, except for KBLB! Although it's not really surprising, either, since I expect it to do well. So...enjoy the benefits of KBLB without her. You can always buy another one anyway!
When you're talking about those level of funds couldn't you just replace the wife? LOL
Yeah it is! Glad I'm positioned for the EXPLOSION!
GLTY and All! Holding the Golden!!!
Thanks for sharing.
I concur. If one wanted to split hairs, basically everyone is guilty.
I prefer to fight different battles.
GLTA! Holding the Golden!!!
This is the quote from the article I found most telling:
The high price of manufacturing the protein material, trademarked as Qmonos, has thus far hindered commercialization, but Sekiyama said he expects to reduce costs to between $40 and $50 per kilogram.
Sorry about that, TRUTH. My computer glitched and didn't populate what you quoted. I read it now and get what you're saying.
Me, too. I just killed a fly and didn't think twice about. Annoying thing.
But, seriously, I get it. In the future, me doing what I just did (killing the fly) may be punishable. For now, though...I GOT IT!
Just like other "questionable" environmentally-impactful companies and otherwise, KBLB better set aside a slush fund. But, of course, Mr. T, being an attorney, is probably fully aware.
GLTA! Holding the Golden!!!
The first "strategic market channel partner" has to be already known internally, don't you think?
Or are you just saying you're keeping your eyes open overall? Not necessarily right out of the gate. Because, IMHO, pivoting right out of the gate is a recipe for disaster.
I was just referring to it being brought up before. I abstained from the conversation then and wish to do the same now.
All I'm interested in is KBLB Commercializing Spider Silk.
GLTA! Holding the Golden!!!
It may have been brought up before this, but, most recently between 6-12 and 6-13. Seems this post was the catalyst: Post # 157374
This topic has been floated on the board in the past.
It has to do with the silkworms being a living organism. They're calling it inhumane due to the fact the silkworm dies in the process.
Probably being fueled by the "goo" companies.
Will definitely check it out! Thanks, SR.
Filling in the blanks nicely overall. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds.
Thanks for your insights, Col.
That's my thoughts as well, Col.
First "strategic market channel partner" getting the goods being Polartec? Providing to the Army?
That would definitely cause things to go ballistic!
GLTA! Holding the Golden!!!
Get it on, be a Kong, get it on!
Great parody, SR!
Didn't think the song could be improved but I stand corrected!
My decision, too!
To...CONTINUE HOLDING THE GOLDEN!!!
VERY BIG DEAL, INDEED!
One cannot take lightly the fact our CEO was instrumental in making this happen. I'd give credit to any CEO for getting any country to do this, but, I'm happy to give it to OURS!
GO KBLB! Rock on, Mr. T!!!
So you're saying they might actually know what they're doing?
Go figure, huh?
Everything is falling into place right before our very eyes. I'm afraid to blink! LOL
GLTA! Holding the Golden!!!
You're welcome, SR. Thanks for your insights as well!
Truly a great time to be a KBLB-holder!
GLTY and All! Holding the Golden!!!
Thought so. Thanks, Hope.
Did Vietnam enact the law to accommodate KBLB?
You know, the one going into effect Monday.
Or was it already going into effect and KBLB "piggybacked" onto it?
Love the Spoiler Alert!
Good one, Rayo!
Exactly, Hope. Wonder if/when we will find out exactly where he was? Real not critical commentary.
Good one!
We should tap into the paperboy delivery system, though. Help to streamline our logistics!
Silk, check out Yankee's Post #158927 (if you haven't already). Think you'll find very interesting.
Mind-blowing the potentialities!
Medicine (salves, etc.)
Fingernail Polish (think strength=non-chipping properties/durability?)
etc,...etc,...etc...
Eureka!
Not from California, but, wish I was to apply their motto to things. The translation from Greek to English, of course, is: I HAVE FOUND IT!
Works for me!
GLTA! Holding the Golden!!!
"If stampede buying starts the end is unpredictable."
Looking forward to that!
Correction: "The possibilities are truly 'unlimited."
Potions, Products, and Processes!
The possibilities are truly limited. Especially when one thinks in terms of licensing along with production in all the categories and sub-categories.
When one extrapolates the potential of KBLB, thoughts become crystallized around why it is "taking so long." Why capture one market when you can capture them ALL?!
Lofty thinking, I know, but, you gotta "go bold or go home!"
It's apparent to me Mr. Thompson is setting the company up for sustainability beyond just the "first customer."
Our time is NOW!
GLTA! Holding the Golden!!!
Just stating the obvious to me. Thanks, Col.
Some have to see it first before they can believe. Others believe even before they see. It all comes down to personal faith. However that's garnered, lies within. Due diligence helps, too!
Yeah, the BOD selection is gonna be another piece of the puzzle revealing more of what the entire puzzle should look like.
We are all so very fortunate to be here at this time.
GLTY and All! Holding the Golden!!!
Glad we think alike, Z!
It is good to be Holding the Golden!
My thoughts, too, Silk.
I'm not looking at a change-up, though. Fastball right down the middle. This is KBLB's Home Run Derby. They want the batter to hit it out of the park!
GLTA! Holding the Golden!!!
It's what I do.
I could tell you "get it" when you said this:
Placing the blame on someone without knowing the reason. Is foolish.
Warren Buffett says it better than I could:
“The most important thing [is] trying to find a business with a wide and long-lasting moat around it … protecting a terrific economic castle with an honest lord in charge of the castle,” he said.
I think MANY have attempted to offer reasons for the lengthy process towards Spider Silk Commercialization. Spider Silk "production" in the lab, however, has been accomplished by various individuals using varying processes. The ever-elusive COMMERCIALIZATION on a mass scale is being attempted but, up until now, has not been accomplished.
I believe the answer to your assertion, "It has been a long road for kraig biocraft lab and no one here on the message board has stated the reason why," is actually being proffered to you through the insights and due diligence (DD) of the various members on the board.
My short answer for the lengthy process is simple: In order to ensure this "Holy Grail" Biotech product is able to reach commercialization and sustainability, a lot of moving parts need to be put in place JUST RIGHT.
That "JUST RIGHT" includes every aspect from the science in the lab, and the various processes and procedures required there, to the bringing the product to scale and EVERYTHING required there. Then sales, logistics, marketing, management, etc. after. Followed by the legal backing to protect all that was developed in the aforementioned procedures. Everything a BUSINESS requires to succeed at a mass level.
Not to mention the selection of essential personnel for the positions required along the way.
Just looking at Dr. Trevor Kane and what he accomplished prior to becoming our Chief Scientist. He was given the position as Chief Scientist because he not only worked in the lab but he worked on the lab. He developed protocols and SOP's required for KBLB to essentially become independent from a lab perspective.
All that took time. Not to mention what was required to become a business entity in Vietnam! That could take up (and has taken up) many posts itself.
All in all, the pieces had to be put together to ensure "all is not lost." KBLB has risen from a "developmental company" into a full-fledged multi-national company on the verge of BEING THE FIRST TO FULLY COMMERCIALIZE SPIDER SILK ON A MASS SCALE.
To think something of this magnitude could have been done in haste, is to miss the overall magnitude of what is being accomplished. NOBODY has been able to COMMERCIALIZE SPIDER SILK ON A SUSTAINABLE LEVEL. Not in the annals of history! But, KBLB will be the first.
