I actually find that as a good sign from JN, more realistic and beatable.
It is ok to be below with yours, mine and every one else expectations on this board. We don't have the inside sale information and only are guessing at the results.
Are you?
I agree and
I don't think I am the one losing credibility here.
Also interesting during conference call.
JN throws out a growth number for 2017 about 60% than says it might be slightly less but in news release predicts only 30% growth. 50% difference in predicts is quite a spread.
Also Elite Solar in 2015 was projected to do 20 million per announcement preacquisition, yet graph on presentation chart stated it contributed 14.1 to new Sunworks in 2016.
Meaning Elite Solar did 6 million in business less under the New Sunworks management.
Those that wonder about JN competency to run a company this says it all.
*Sunworks Sees Q4 Sales $18.5M vs $28.0M Est, Guides 2017 Sales Low"
Benzinga
Heck, he only missed estimated by a mere 10 million dollars.
Maybe he should be spending more time at the actual office so he would have a better handle on what actually is going on there.
Just a thought.
87 million in revenue.
Last year 53 million, add in 20 million from Elite Solar, assuming they did the same amount of business as 2015, equals 73 million.
Meaning organic growth was 14 million for the 2016 with 3 companies, compared to 25 million in 2015 with only 2.
4th quarter only a million more than last year even though it had all those sales supposedly not counted from 3rd quarter.
Plus missed revised guidance.
Very very disappointing.
I just wish I could see where a few here think things are going great here.
Over the last 2 years organic growth has been flat, no new acquisitions in our future and the cell is apparently in a coma.
One plus for an additional source of growth, we do have Rapid Rack sales, but will that be enough to reverse the downward trend.
I swear I must be missing something.
Take Carl for example, great level headed advice. Says hold wait 5 to 10 years. Well for me it starting to get close to that 5 year waiting period and it looks like we are headed back to the price I got in at.
Or Moon, touting institutional buying picking up, yet as Carl points out, any respectable institution has a $5.00 price and minimum cap requirement. So what fly by night outfit is holding this while it slowly descends and more importantly why are they holding and at what price did they get in?
My guess and it is only a guess, the map signifies where SUNW has a presence.
Thanks for the update
Part 1 Happening now, since October 18, 2016
DOE, Natural Resources Canada Announce Pilot Plant to Advance Oxy-Combustion Carbon Capture
https://energy.gov/fe/articles/doe-natural-resources-canada-announce-pilot-plant-advance-oxy-combustion-carbon-capture
Before the open on a Monday, that usually a sign of good numbers.
Not rude at all, I am fully aware of the $5.00 plus and market cap requirements,
Today's news was horrible, there are many bad messages that could be read into.
1) At 2 cents it says to me short term, management doesn't believe much appreciation stock appreiation from here.
2)It also tells that they could not find anyone that had much faith in the company future who would have done a private placement for a 50% discount.
3) Future momentum will be halted by new shares hitting the market.
4) Funds for shares IMHO are not enough to get the product to market.
Not happy at all!
I like to believe that moon I really would.
Concerning those institutional buys.
Two questions we don't have the answer to.
1) Were they retail or discounted purchases?
2) Were they done because of the companies fundamentals or as a favor to an old colleague?
From TD amerirade it should be next week
Annual Earnings Beat Consensus (Year ending 12/2015)
Annual Non-GAAP earnings

Annual Consensus of 2 analysts -$0.03

Gotta say a little worrisome going into earning next week. Company been pretty quiet.
I mean it should be a pretty good quarter, especially if they have the revenue not counted in the 3rd quarter added to a decent 4th quarter revenues.
With the debt written off in quarter 3 quarter, 4 should be rather stellar with profit.
The quiet is so out of character for JN.
I like your theory better.
Saw the map before, my thoughts on it were it doesn't reflect them doing installation business in those states outside their core 3, but states where they have sold Rapid Rack systems.

Here a mention of DNRG

nice company to be included in
DNRG still listed Sept 2016 in Power Africa

So Alex,
Let's look at a possible 2017.
As shown in my previous post in 2015 with 2 companies for most of the year, organic growth was about 25 million.
In 2016 with with a full year of 3 companies organic growth was only 1.3 million better. (That is also assuming 100 million in revenue). If revenue turns out less than a 100 million for 2016 that would means organic grow actually will be less than 25 million for 2016 and below 2015 organic growth numbers.
In 2017 there will be no new acquisition revenue to add to the company bottom line.
Which means unless the company has major expansion in 2017 and changes something they did not do in 2016, your looking at sales for 2017 around 125 million for the year if they can organically grow at least at the same pace they did in 2015 and 2016.
Again if I am missing something or got something wrong, please correct me.
In 2013 Sunworks had revenue of 8.5 million with high growth already in place before Solar3d acquired them.
For the sake of argument, I will give you that Solar3d management did help them reach 20 million in 2014, even though old Sunworks in 2013 Sunworks was one one the fastest- growing providers already. Now making an assumptions since other solar companies were doing over 100% growth, i am making an assumption since old Sunworks was one of the fastest growth one it was exceeding 100% growth on it's own.
Now revenues for New Sunworks in 2015 was 53.7, with no growth, you start with 20 million from old Sunworks, 6 million from MD Energy and 2 million from Elite Solar for 28 million so your starting point before growth is 28 million. Organic growth for 2015 was about 25 million. Pretty decent about 90%
Which takes us to 2016. New Sunworks did 53.7 million in 2015, adding in the 20 million for Elite Solar acquisition (using what they did in 2015 not taking any growth into account) gives us a total of 73.7 million. So even using 100 million in revenues for 2016 means that there was only 26.3 million or 49% of organic growth in 2016.
And only an organic growth difference of 1.3 million from 2015 (25 million in organic growth)to 2016 (26.3 million in organic growth).
Old Sunworks acquired Februray 2014
https://www.pv-magazine.com/2014/02/03/solar3d-acquires-californias-sunworks_100014098/
"In 2013, SUNworks became one of the fastest-growing providers of solar systems in California,"
"Having generated revenues of more than $8.5 million last year, the company began 2014 with an impressive pipeline of orders, prompting Solar3D to act."
MD Energy acquired March 2015
http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/solar3d-to-acquire-md-energy-otcqb-sltd-1965078.htm
"MD Energy is operating profitably and its revenue in 2014 is anticipated to be approximately $7.3 million with substantial growth expected in 2015."
Solar Elite Dec 2015
http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/solar3d-to-acquire-leading-solar-power-company-elite-solar-nasdaq-sltd-2047095.htm
"Revenue for 2015 is expected to approach $20 million, an increase of approximately 140% over the 2014 figure."
Please correct me if I am wrong.
I appreciate the advice but I made up my mind to hold until at least the end of 2017 or above 5 dollars which ever comes first.
A year longer than I thought I be here. I originally thought that if the Cell made it to market I would be out by now at $1.20 pre split. Boy was I wrong!
That is find and good, but means absolutely nothing until it is logged in the books. (he also said the cell was ready for market)
Kind of hard to do that since the company has been in a downward trend for over 2 years.
Besides I think I been critical (at least when it comes to the cell away) pretty consistently.
I will be happy to repost my post from 2 1/2 years ago if you like.
As I said to Carl and moon, I truly look forward to the day that YOU can say I told you so.
Just because one looks at something they believe to be realistically and criticizes doesn't mean that they don't hope they are wrong.
If you have REAL evident that a reverse is about to happen please share?
Realistically, I don't see a reversal until 2nd quarters earning are released. I am expecting a very weak first quarter.
Not by mismanagement simply because the weather was been very wet during most of the quarter in California.
Do we really know that?
By your way of thinking there is no reason to look at the financials from 2016 as they are now the past.
And as it is said "past performance has no indication of future performance.."
So if we just look at the present, the new Sunworks is within pennies of it's all time low, with no indication, as of today of a major reversal.
At present, the new Sunworks only source of growth is organically.
Did they really?
I just might do that.
Just the day you buy more. LOL
Hopefully, Thursday they will run a 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 special for you.
Before a Black Friday event when every one will be running to the store to buy.
This is the Solar3d now Sunworks board, it is also
the same CEO that got us into the cell,
the same CEO that still teases us with the cell,
the same cell that got us to stay but promoting growth though acquisition than pulled acquisitions off the table.
The same CEO remains, the cell remains, all topics that pretain to them remain relevant and open for discussion.
Load the cart up.
Speculating here.
Could it be the manufacture of the Rubicon for DNRG is EFOY Pro fuel cell business of Canadian subsidiary Simark Controls
At which price did the insiders buy, market or discount?
Makes a big difference in your scenario.
Life and the stock market is all about choices.
In the stock market at any time you can get in or you can get out of a stock.
If one truly thinks that MVTG is a scam than they are a fool for staying in.
If one doesn't think that MVTG is a scam than they live with the choices they made, whether it be good or bad.
Liquid Light was a progressive very aggressive company at one time, beating out many grants MVTG tried to get.
Liquid Light is gone, yet this company Mantra Venture, which so many are so quickly condemning remains alive.
Mantra, a company barely on life support is respected enough by it's government to be invited to a Canada/China Climate conference which only invited a handful of Canada's carbon reducer pioneers to attend.
NRcan is now handing out grants to advance technologies to reduce carbon from lab to market. Liquid Light is gone and so are it's chances or receiving a grant, while Mantra is alive and being considered.
IF Mantra is approved you will have the lift off you seek.
I truly hope so.
Now eiddle. Please look at the Carbon Science that you pointed out.
Under funding do you see anything listed for Carbon Science? No
Under Mantra do you, Yes, NRcan, which was verified to me by e-mail as being the place CMC applied for a grant which included Mantra Energy, in January 2017.
Your welcome.
Also going back to the post and the link, it was a question not a statement of fact that this might or might no be was actual grant.
