The volume yesterday and today is encouraging.
54k today is not that far from 1% of outstanding shares.
I’m no chart guru but I love the chart now because when it breaks through 4.5ish it could go a long way up in one big hurry. I bet another 2 or 3mil volume day happens between the Q4 and Q1 reports.
Yes it is stupid. Very low volume drop. I bought many more shares. It is a gift and will recover quickly and step up to the teens by June or July.
That certainly makes sense and well done! At least you kept some “just in case.” Since I own a dozen or so other stocks I guess I’m not much different in my thinking.
The Big Military Contract - Will it ever happen? Sure wish I knew. What I do know is Ferris has hinted and teased about it for almost 2 years now. That is a pretty big mistake on his part since it hurts his credibility and VirTra’s credibility. Furthermore, would any entity award even a $20mil contract to a tiny company with tiny annual revenue and few employee resources? Seems unlikely to me but the Feds do unpredictable stuff every day.
I think you are correct about VTSI being driven purely by quarterly reports. And that is why I am excited for March and May!
If they are going live this year, wouldn’t they already have awarded the contracts? Or does going live mean they kick off the effort to begin getting bids? Or have all the awards gone to BIG defense contractors and VirTra would compete for subcontracts?
It would be great if those selling would post their rationale. Thanks in advance!
Even this message board and its lack of posts and posters foretells a coming massive up move in the stock. With every stock it is always the same. Little interest and little discussion right before the big move up. Think about all the great fun interesting posters this board used to have. All gone, just like their shares. That is what makes a market and makes for great stock picking.
Some recent examples of what is just ahead for VTSI....
3 months ago you could buy as many 1.50 shares of SUP as you wanted. Today it is $5 and moving up. Is the company performing any different now than a year ago? A bit but not much.
10 months ago you could buy RFP at 1.20, today moving up and over $8.5. Again, is the company 7x better today? No, but a little better.
Look at INO over last 5 days.
And guess what, VirTra has a better more compelling mission and story to tell than those above. When they announce a Q1 in mid May that shows yoy 100% revenue growth it will get attention and the stock will respond. Smart investors are accumulating now and taking shares from the impatient and those who have lost hope. Same as Sup and Rfp 6 months ago.
Look, I throw lots of bs out there but if I didn’t like the company and stock I would not own shares or post about it. With every stock there is an optimum time to buy and a terrible time to buy. Any stock chart will confirm that statement.
With VTSI, there were a hand full of opportunities in the past to buy very cheap shares. More recently, the last 5 years, very few opportunities to either buy or sell. But within the last year there have been some big macro changes in the world that put VirTra in a beautiful position. Furthermore the company has corrected some past structural errors and is doing well as evidenced by the publicly disclosed order intake numbers for Q2 and Q3. These numbers confirm the macro trends and start hitting reported revenue in the upcoming Q4 report.
And I know I am tough and inconsistent on CEO Ferris but he is a smart person capable of learning from his mistakes. He has finally figured out that there is no magic potion to a higher market cap. The only sustainable way is by growing revenue and earnings. He has gotten some terrible advice over the years from his closest outside advisor and I wish he would distance himself from him but I suspect Ferris is finally smart enough to understand the correct way to grow the company.
Today you can buy VTSI sub $4. After the Q1 report it will be obvious the company will grow 50% yoy in 2021 and command a PS of at least 4. A $15 price will actually be fair value!
Happy February 1st!
Q4 earnings report in about 33 trading days!
Q1 earnings report in about 75 trading days!
I am guessing that January, 2021 was the biggest January of all time for VirTra. Perhaps revenue as high as $3million based on the number of installers out and about.
Look at their job postings as well.
I am upping my late May target price to $17.
I am serious.
Options.....On the last big RFP run I was active with options. This time I keep looking but it seems like there are not very many for sale.
One of my reasons for 2021 optimism is looks to me like they threw everything including the kitchen sink into the Q4 financials in order to enter 2021 clean and neat.
And another kicker is the new CEO and CFO. Each is big time.
Will look more at options this weekend.
Sort of a nasty dip.
Might have to buy more.
Sup green, market red.
Now almost $900.
Good enough to ensure Eps of $1 in Q1.
2021 could be a $3 year!
$30 stock?
Always better to be lucky than good.
Looks like I nailed January!
I think his formation of the VirTra Advisory Board without publicly disclosing it was perhaps illegal and likely in violation of SEC rules and regulations because of the lack of disclosure.
I also believe (based on the public actions and inactions of the members) that so called independent directors are not truly independent. Again, not a problem if publicly disclosed.
But both of these are minor and common and not worth going to war over.
All I want as a shareholder is competent aggressive management that grows the company at 30% per year or better while maintaining a sound balance sheet. If this were to ever happen the stock price would take care of itself.
On second thought no lawsuits.
Too slow and too expensive.
We need to rise up in mass and peacefully protest outside of VirTra HQ and outside of each Directors home.
Tis the season!
AOC my new hero!
To no one.
He has no annual objectives.
There is not a 3 year plan.
No revenue targets.
No Eps targets.
Simply no accountability.
The BOD is not doing its job. Shareholders should file lawsuits against each Director individually and as a group. They are misleading shareholders in an intentional way.
SEC complaints would also help shine sunlight on this ship show.
FireFerris...2 1/2 months now without any Update!
Ferris simply will not do anything to improve company performance. All he seems to care about is collecting his own paycheck. He clearly does not care about shareholders.
That said, we shareholders are just as stupid. Why are some of us selling shares? If we want a higher price it is easy to achieve. Simply hold on to your shares. If everyone decided not to sell until it hits $10 then it would be $10 by noon tomorrow. Or if everyone here decided to buy 5000 shares tomorrow then the stock would be $20 by noon tomorrow.
Again, the #1 problem is Ferris.
He does not know how to sell product.
He does not know how to be a great CEO.
He despises shareholders though many of us are smarter than him.
He is afraid to hire aggressive smart people.
He surrounds himself with third tier talent.
But for a tiny insignificant Nasdaq company he is above avg as a CEO.
Because no one person is willing to spend the time and money to make it happen.
I couldn’t even get 4 people to agree on the right approach a year or two ago.
Several big shareholders are foolish Ferris loyalists.
Chain of Lakes was interested in becoming an activist but backed off for a variety of reasons.
I wonder what Twister thinks?
It’s the thread in reply to Andrea
There is an awesome message board thread on yahoo finance that offers tons of insight. A really big factor is the number of calls that our outstanding. It is awesome some reading. I think it is the first one on the list, over 200+ replies.
I once traded gme from about 10 to 13. My 10 dolla shares would be worth $3.5million right now! Funny stuff.
It has been fun to watch.
Last good one was VW Volkswagen. Same as GME.
You should be watching VTSI. See the bids today.
Something big and fun is coming our way!
Beautiful trend up is happening right before our eyes! Long way to go!
I bought my first ever LLNW shares yesterday. I bought mainly due to company performance relative to peers and stock valuation relative to peers. The company is doing better than competition yet stock is doing much worse! Bodes well.
I agree with you....and it is also a great story stock. And the type that Robinhooders have latched onto to feel good and save the world.
March lumber futures heading up, at $796 now!
Q1 should also be strong.
At least stock is flying after hours!
Up to 4.20
Total volume is 68 shares!
Phenomenal.
In the current market, VTSI should be trading at $7 based on comparable peers and competition.
And by about May 20, 2021, they will be trading at $10 due to the cumulative effect of Q4 and Q1.
With a top tier CEO, the stock would be $50 easy by Thanksgiving. That is the travesty of it all.
We all beat around the bush and I am likely the guiltiest of parties. VTSI is $4 because that is what it is worth based on revenue, revenue growth, earnings, earnings growth, and lack of consistency, predictability, and forward guidance.
Aaxn now has an $11billion market cap and $10billion enterprise value. Why? Because the company performs Q after Q and Y after Y. They are smart and aggressive. Superbly managed.
If only CEO Ferris was smart enough to hire a big time CEO and step aside into a CTO role or COB. It is really sad that none of the BOD are willing to make the necessary move to have him removed.
CEO Ferris wonders why he is not loved or respected by shareholders. While I still maintain he is above average there are obvious and simple things he could do to improve.
1. There is a huge lull in information between mid-Nov and late March. Every midJanuary he should issue a PR that states objectives and guidance for the year that just started.
2. He needs to focus 100% on selling product. Forget trying to court investors. Accelerate revenue annual growth to 30% and every valuation problem will be corrected as if by magic.
That’s it. Simple Obvious....yet our CEO continues to resist.
I’m old too. Was young when I first bought this mess.
The Q4, Q1, and Q2 reports will make us happier....I hope.
Every day including today!
Awesome time to build a position. I continue to add shares.
Best part is most all the old long term holders are gone!
That is also typical of a stock before a big multi year run.
Lumber didn’t really drop.
Lumber futures traded for 6 specific months, Jan mar may July September nov.
I The Jan now dropped off and futures are for mid March,
If pulp goes up a bit more or just keeps its slow upward move then 14 easy and maybe a $30 top.
This replacement financing will save RFP roughly $3.7million per year in debt payments! That is Eps of about 5cents! The fact the notes are at 4.875% says they are investment grade and RFP is strong.
A couple other points. Even though stock indexes are high there are many GREAT stocks to buy now that are very undervalued based on fundamentals. So don’t be too hard on VTSI as it is not alone. Look at stocks like RELL and UIHC and RFP and UVE and AFI and WFC, etc.
Then think about what happens from about March 20th through Aug 15th. In a span of 4+ months there will be 3 VTSI earnings reports. Q1 and Q2 are almost certain to be up 100%+ year over year. And what is the likelihood of a few big police sales and Military wins?
There are only 8 more trading days left in Jan. I fully expect and am loaded for a much higher stock price soon. It will happen.
Obviously all good points.
Q2 order intake was strong.
Q3 order intake was good.
Q3 cc inferred guidance was for a 2020 equal to 2019 which implies a very nice Q4.
The US macro has never been more “pro police training” than now.
There is free money everywhere for every municipal purchase.
And there are peers and competitors flush with cash and looking to grow.
It just seems to me everything is now pointing to a very strong 2021 and beyond.
And the best news is the stock is still undiscovered and flying beneath the radar. That WILL change IF the company puts up some plus 100% quarters which is almost certain to happen for both Q1 and Q2.
Sure, our CEO is not the absolute best but he is above average and his own legacy and wealth are tied to making VirTra great and BIG.
Earlier today I sold a few RFP shares that I bought in April, 2020 at 1.16. I sold them today for $8.02. Why is this relevant? Because RFP in April 2020 was exactly where VTSI is today.
