PayMe,
These are examples of what description or claims usually say:
“FIG. 5 shows a viscosity-temperature graph of an exemplary bulk solidifying metallic glass-forming alloy, from an exemplary series of Zr—Ti—Ni—Cu—Be alloys manufactured by Liquidmetal Technology. It should be noted that there is no clear liquid/solid transformation for a bulk solidifying amorphous metal during the formation of an amorphous solid. The molten alloy becomes more and more viscous with increasing undercooling until it approaches solid form around the glass transition temperature. Accordingly, the temperature of solidification front for bulk solidifying metallic glass-forming alloys can be around glass transition temperature, where the alloy will practically act as a solid for the purposes of pulling out the quenched amorphous sheet product.”

Really 31 days old? 5th to 31st .... hmmmm
What is “he” the all powerful wizard. If I told you the ROFR is a moot point after Lugee cross license agreement, which in essence licensed certain IP to Eontec via a security release ... would you need crayons to explain that to both of you?
Since discussion of territories of Eontec vs Liquidmetal, the following patent application has been allowed and is pending issuance by USPTO:
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/y2015/0322555.html
So Lugees alloy will be protected here in the US now....territory of Liquidmetal.
Just curious why there is an expectation that the ROFR is such a big thing.
Not .1467?
Conformis continues to mention Liquidmetal so much always wonder if any involvement with them.

“A. Metal and Polymeric Repair Materials
Currently, joint repair systems often employ metal and/or polymeric materials including, for example, prostheses which are anchored into the underlying bone (e.g., a femur in the case of a knee prosthesis). See, e.g., U.S. Pat. No. 6,203,576 to Afriat, et al. issued Mar. 20, 2001 and U.S. Pat. No. 6,322,588 to Ogle, et al. issued Nov. 27, 2001, and references cited therein. A wide-variety of metals are useful in the practice of the present invention, and can be selected based on any criteria. For example, material selection can be based on resiliency to impart a desired degree of rigidity. Non-limiting examples of suitable metals include silver, gold, platinum, palladium, iridium, copper, tin, lead, antimony, bismuth, zinc, titanium, cobalt, stainless steel, nickel, iron alloys, cobalt alloys, such as Elgiloy®, a cobalt-chromium-nickel alloy, and MP35N, a nickel-cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy, and Nitinol®, a nickel-titanium alloy, aluminum, manganese, iron, tantalum, crystal free metals, such as Liquidmetal® alloys (available from LiquidMetal Technologies, www.liquidmetal.com), other metals that can slowly form polyvalent metal ions, for example to inhibit calcification of implanted substrates in contact with a patient's bodily fluids or tissues, and combinations thereof.”
More than likely Chinese phone makers
Nice catch otw
Funny since lugees magnesium alloys are amorphous too
I thought it was funny!
Thanks Kanadien! That must be some strong stuff!
Just say’n... who is Gasimetal? What is their specialty?
Great post!
honors good to hear you are still around!

LIMITED EDITION
D-42 Purple Martin
The D-42 Purple Martin is the third in the Purple Martin series and gets an upgrade from 41 to 42 Style appointments. The name "Purple Martin" is inspired by a native bird from Pennsylvania of the same name. Known for being social, the Purple Martin is a fitting choice for this instrument, and you'll know why when you hear it sing! In addition to the bird inlay on the fingerboard and pickguard, the guitar also features the Pennsylvania state flower, the mountain laurel, by its side. The top is made from heavy bearclaw Engelmann spruce, and the back and sides are made from figured plum katalox. Other unique appointments on this limited edition model are Schaller Gold GrandTune® open gear tuners and bone colored Liquidmetal® bridge pins. The model is limited to just 50 guitars, each with a label signed by Chris Martin.
SPECIAL EDITIONS
D-45 Fire & Ice
This Golden Era Style D-45 is the newest collaboration with renowned inlay artist Harvey Leach. This one-of-a-kind model is adorned with original artwork that symbolizes opposite forces, in the form of a phoenix and a dragon, coming together in battle. The inlay incorporates a technique developed by Leach called "Smoke & Mirrors," and it is used on this model to portray the dragon being neutralized in ice. The model also features an Engelmann spruce top with heavy bearclaw, Madagascar rosewood back and sides, a European flamed maple headplate and binding, and a unique maple back strip woven with pearl. The tuners are Schaller Gold GrandTune® open gear, and the label is signed by Chris Martin and Harvey Leach. Martin is making only one of these rare beauties but will take special orders, so visit your authorized Martin dealer to get your hands on one.
DSS-2018
Each year Martin designs a new groundbreaking model known as the "show special" to help support 2018 trade shows, by making it available only to those Authorized Martin Dealers in attendance. The theme for 2018 is lightweight wood with a robust sound. The difference can not only be heard but also felt as you cradle and strum this featherweight acoustical innovation. Though large in size, the features that contribute to these tonal and weight benefits are a 2-way adjustable titanium truss rod, carbon fiber and titanium tuning gears, composite carbon fiber/VTS Adirondack bridgeplate and headplate, a carbon fiber ultra-thin pickguard, and Liquidmetal® pins that are disguised to look like bone. Liquidmetal® pins have been proven to increase sustain, harmonics, and volume output by several decibels, adding to the allure of this physics experiment. Mahogany and Adirondack spruce were chosen as the tonewoods for this slope-shoulder Dreadnought, along with flamed maple binding, for lightness and rich tone. While the elements of titanium and carbon fiber reduce weight and increase the natural sustain and harmonics of the DSS-2018, the high performance neck with ebony fingerboard is adorned with grained ivoroid snowflake inlay for a touch of elegance.
Wonder what United Technologies is up to...published today as well under them.

I am sure when you look at images you might recognize a certain phone
You do realize that the majority of CIP/Liquidmetal issued patents were issued after 2010. I have the full listing that includes their key dates including issue date, not filing date as so many people confuse that as being the start of the ticket to 20 years for utility applications. You also realize that CIP has filed so many divisional applications from some original patents that is like a big vine that just keeps extending. I am not here to argue with you but when people say the sky is falling it annoys the hell out of me. That’s why I only share key filings like changes with some close friends as they appreciate things that are based on facts. To give you peace of mind at least two thirds of all issued CIP/Liquidmetal patents are post 2010.
You do realize that Cold chamber due casting IP is within CIP, of which Apple has access to. Lugees die casting versus is hot chamber
This guy is working with Apple:

Not too shabby if you ask me...of course Waniuk is still listed on all these.
Those are alumnimum
Dam everyone just needs to quit posting for a while ... go talk to someone who matters. Talk to the cat, dog or fish or someone
Thanks for telling me what I know. I used "someone" in case I was wrong and said CIP.
So you couldn't spell that out without a reference to a long ago post?
You literally went back and read an April post to type up your present post? Smh
Why don't you reach out to Lugee and voice your concerns?
Sounds like you enjoy them more bud...getting yourself all worked up about a blog post
