Someone is dumping 200k shares a day. Tax loss selling? Whomever it is has a lot to sell.
I believe everything you have said. It is interesting that you say she was surprised and caught off guard, so to speak, at the mention of a halt. There was a similar reaction (as reported by RRR) amoung scientists and doctors at the Florida conference a few weeks back at the mention of a halt. It sure seems the only people even contemplating this as a possibility are on this MB.
At the risk of beating a dead horse, there seemed to be some confusion among certain posters about the relationship between LP, NWBO, Cognate and the various Toucan investment funds. It seems the recent 4/A certification/signature section should help clear up any lingering confusion.
Per the form:
Cognate Bioservices, Inc., by its director, /s/ Linda Powers
Toucan Capital Fund III, L.P., by its managing director, /s/ Linda Powers
Toucan General II, LLC, by its managing director, /s/ Linda Powers
Linda clearly thinks the trial will finish at the end of 2015 or early 2016. Her exact words from the conference
"No, we think it is more like close to the turn of the year. Like the beginning of 2016, not the middle."
And yet you continue to doubt another poster that attended the annual meeting where he asked a question about a possible halt to which Linda reportedly said "we prefer to finish out the trial being that it's so close to completion."
Maybe you failed to read the SEC filings about the recent property purchases in the UK and the contamination they have to deal with? How quickly do you think they can clean up the site, construct the buildings and production labs, etc., not to mention getting through all of the inspection and approval requirements before production can commence? Do you really think everything will be ready in a matter of months? Maybe it is your expectations that are unrealistic and attenuated.
Sometimes it is hard to face reality when it doesn't fit our desired timeline.
Her statement makes a lot of sense to me when I consider the probable timeline for achieving full scale commercialization in the UK and Germany.
No, but I think you can ask the question any number of different ways and the exact words don't matter because the answer is still the same.
"We prefer to finish out the trial being that it's so close to completion"
What could be lost in "prefer to finish out the trial"
She didn't guarantee what their decision would be under a halt scenario, but clearly stated their preference at this time. As we know, everything is subject to change. This is no different.
It was a very clear and simple question followed by a clear and simple answer. I know you really hope something was lost in translation, but I think it is highly unlikely.
Yes a few years, did I stutter? LoL (mostly very passive though). Anyway, thanks, I'll check it out. I knew you weren't a complete jerk. I don't care what everyone else says..
Last question for the day. Do you have any recommendations for investment resources? Anything you have read over the years that had a strong wow factor. I know this guy that has only been investing for a few years and thought it would make a nice gift. Thanks!
My crystal ball didn't work so well this year so I tossed it.
Nice! Where do you think we go from here? Don't worry, I already have the position I want secured and will not make any future buying or selling decisions based on how you respond, or blame you, or praise you, for the outcome of my prior decisions ;)
It really is a masterpiece.
Don't you think maybe this whole thing has been blown way out of proportion? We haven't even confirmed what was said or the context.
Are we standing on the edge of a monumental event with this stock? I kind of get that feeling, but can't really put my finger on it. Starting to get just a little excited though. There's definitely something brewing...
Think maybe you need to find a beach on that island with some nice scenery and unwind a little.
You are quite an interesting cat, no doubt.
It must be a very difficult, the life you lead. Knowing that you have been blessed with The Gift. Most days there is this nagging feeling of under-utilization that comes from stooping to communicate with the poor ignorant souls that simply cannot understand the complexities.
Extremely frustrating for a man all alone on an island of intelligence. If only sleep would come... but the mind is too busy processing, analyzing, testing theories, dismissing ideas, it never ceases. The money doesn't help. The desire for self fulfillment grows at the same rate and maintains the void.
Wow, that hurts my feelings that you don't trust me, Regina. Don't bother, I really don't care who you are, or who you know, or what some other anonymous MB poster can confirm or deny.
She won't reply to email. You know that. Why didn't you call Les? You know how to contact folks when you really want to talk. Doesn't make sense Regina. I have never received an email from anyone at the company. What makes you so special?
So you have been lying to me this entire time? You tell me with every post that you don't care about my money. Now you tell me you do and don't want me to lose any due to my inability to navigate this terrain. But I haven't given you any money to care about my money, therefore I must conclude you are trying to trick me with this post. I'm going to stick with your original and ongoing statement that you really don't care about my money.
Linda Powers is our fearless maestro. She is on a mission to bring L to the market as quickly as possible. It is her labor of love. She would never intentionally misstate such an important milestone. If she says completion by early 2016, we need to believe her every word and not question it. Besides, she smiled and her body language was very confident when she said it. Risks? Oh please! You need to stop spreading FUD, apologize, and put a little positive spin on something for goodness sake!
What, you don't see how great this was for shareholders? There's a lock up period, so it must have been the best deal for us. ;)
Be careful, people around here don't like to hear such FUD.
The delays with L are discouraging, but there is still a lot of potential upside value with Direct while we await completion of the L trial.
The current price is still attractive as a speculation on Direct alone. If additional phase 1 results continue to align with the positive tumor responses showcased to date, we will see increased interest and buying in 2015.
You really shouldn't use any four letter word that starts with Cu.. on this board.
I must say, I'm really digging this far more objective Regina. New Years resolution? I have one. More investing, less gambling, and far less reading of MB speculation. Of course this new strategy will require some changes to my portfolio.
This year of investing has taught me a few lessons. One that stands out is the realization that regardless of how intelligently and articulately someone is able to portray their opinions, regardless of how well versed someone is in the medical or statistical realm, regardless of how convincing or persuasive they can be, they are clearly as much in the dark as everyone else.
Happy Holidays!
Very interesting, considering that many of the faithful here have considered the 1st interim analysis halt to be a done deal for a long long time, yourself included. Now it is clearly time to move the carrot.
A very appropriate comparison to IMUC, in some ways this may be turning into a strikingly similar journey for L. Important to keep in mind that NWBO has a very good idea of what to expect from the phase III. Any notion that they are flying in the dark here is extremely naive.
Lastly, it also allows them to continue both trials until 2016, and pushes the make-it or break-it point out until then.
This might be your most salient point to date. Buying time is critical for NWBO. Direct needs as much time as possible to mature into something promising to keep the dreams alive.
I expect very limited and infrequent data on Direct. Maybe one or two more single cases released at various times to keep interest piqued.
Nasdaq shows over 250k from 4:00 to 4:01. Kinda strange for a Friday close...
I wouldn't call it a very big vote of confidence.
Please pass the nachos ;)
A nice little move up today. Would be nice to close out the year around 6 instead of 4. I would be extremely happy to be wrong about my prior prediction of low 4's. Nice support around 5 even with the market getting hammered the past couple weeks. A slow uptrend would be fine with me for the first half of 2015.
I would be willing to bet a couple of people you consider bashers are longer than you. Just saying...
You need to add Healthbank, tumor storage services to your list.
Are we really that excited about a $1,200 purchase? OMG, something big must be happening ;)
Any chance you would bring a few questions to the table for the good of the group?
1. Has any progress been made in Mexico?
2. What is the plan going forward for financing operations (is cash on hand for operations a growing concern)?
3. Have any listings been secured for the Pulse line?
4. How are the lemonades selling in Walmart?
5. Has PULSE approached Walmart about placing the coconut water?
5. How is the CEO feeling about everything? Is he losing interest in the company?
Thanks!
Yeah I saw that too. Some folks here mentioned the US might be picking up the slack a little and I'm curious if there is any merit to that. If the 132 is still required, we have a long wait ahead.
So maybe I was too hasty to discredit my own theory. Do you think Direct or L would be a more effective booster?
I have a conflicting appt and will be unable to attend. If you do have an opportunity to ask questions, would you mind asking if there is a required % of enrollment in Europe for the phase III? Thanks
Yes I meant a complete systemic response in the context of curing a patient and removing all cancer. There is evidence of a partial systemic response and I think that will continue in phase II. I just don't think it will be strong enough to destroy all other tumors throughout the body, maybe just those in close proximity to the injection site.
The discussion about boosters is irrelevant unless Direct can completely remove all cancer from the body. Some patients have many many tumors. It would be impossible to inject them all, so a systemic response would be necessary. I am not convinced we will see this, even in phase II. But that doesn't mean Direct won't be an effective treatment option. Even adding 1 year of survival with a better quality of life would be a huge success over current options. Hoping for more than that starts to get really speculative.
You may end up being right, but I bet it isn't for the reason you stated.
