paid myself pre-market expecting it to fill the gap at open.
$SNFCA - shorts either think the Fed will collapse the mortgage spreads that are the ultimate source of the higher revenues or (b) really cannot put the "insider sells" in proper context.
The housing and mortgage markets were hot last quarter so this report will be good. This quarter isn't over and the economic news is mixed. Three months from now we'll know.
seeking alpha had a good article comparing companies in the Bakken. While KOG was not the "best" company it did have the prospects for best % return.
Vrtx will collapse. Nflx needs to go down friday or i will need to roll out.
Ash is another. Gww plays well but takes timing. Pcln needs to go up a bit to play puts safely.
Nugt tracks them with leverage.
of course GOOG is "ignoring" a mistake in their favor.
call it $250M a year and say there are 100M shares out to round it out... $2.50 revenues per share ignoring MSFT or ZTE or any other revenue sources.
Safe to assume this is nearly all making it to the bottom line since the up front legal costs are expensed and the G&A on cashing checks and accounting is a small %...?
That might cause an increase in share price. Maybe.
working up to it... looking for a 3-digit day
in for a taste...
XIDE - how dependent is it on that one plant? Yes, it's an open ended liability but not 60% of the market cap...
considering a few $1 shares:

been watching the slow cycle and thinking we played it wrong months ago (well, we both made $$). Short from $3 is my next thought, then go long in July for 6 months.
AT $4.92 average. patience...
Thanks. I bought too early (in at 19 cents fell to 14). out at 24, wanted 27 but did not want to give up the gain.
AMD now has a higher high that is parallel the higher low. It also is about even with the previous higher high. MIGHT keep going, but my read is a consolidation to another higher low.
I see I sold DMD a day too early...
out AMD calls +20%.
planning to short at $50 if it gets there.
They had a week forecast in their last filing.
nice - not a bad price target in the lot either.
also grabbed some ALN because it turned bottom and there is a $1.60 going private proposal that is due for an update. China high risk play.
grabbed 200 @ $3.12
I don't have time, but... on seeking alpha there were two articles on the real cost to produce silver and gold. The value of a miner is the asset value plus their rate of production times their profit margin.
The change in value is tied to the change in gold price above their cost, so the smaller their margins at the market low metal prices, the bigger their percentage gain on the upswing. It's kind of like call options and their cost to produce is the equivalent of a strike price...
To that end, TC must have either small proven reserves or high cost to produce because it moved the least on the upswing so far.
silver is lagging gold...
look at silver miners?
ZSL failed to print a higher high and premarket it's about to print a lower low. Silver bottom - short term at least - is in.
Now to play ZSL puts?
$29 in one account and $32 in the other...
I have been averaging down USLV better.
KOG definitely a good call.
Took a small flier on NEPT volume but nothing that matters.
then tanks. took the loss and moving on.
KOG looks like the winning choice of the set, unless you start looking at options. (haven't yet).

through $2.60 is critical. We really need through $2.65 since we have a higher low. That would give us a higher high.
as a byproduct of my article, a reader commented that the company's windfall is all due to Fed policy buying up assets, creating a spread in mortgages they are exploiting. He calls it a value trap. Long term, I agree - but when QE-infinity ends so does the entire stock market.
approaching break even in my NFLX short but the pump piece today made the short case so I expect a profit "shortly". puts expire Friday.
Insider sell in VRTX on top of +40% "walk on air" means time to get greedy. I am up 60% on that one :)
Seeking Alpha published my write up:

stock was up 40 cents from when I started writing it to when it was published... up to where it gapped over the weekend going into 10K. Others see the value already as well.
WRLD was on my watchlist for puts but I am in too many... perfect 38.2% fib retrace.
while the inverse gold funds are all in downtrends, ZSL is printing a double top.
4/15 79.95 High
4/23 80.18 High
...
It's not going up - if it did spike up I'd play puts on it.
If it starts coming down I'll add USLV.
Sideways is boring... and dangerous
SNFCA confronting the 200 SMA on the hourly chart
AMD needs to break $2.60 down trend on the peaks... printing $2.70 for a higher high would be nice.
out CBB, IGC, DMD, ACFN, GMO - small net loss due to GMO.
in KOG
