Yes it is, but the desired dosage is 4 grams a day. Actually Vascepa now has two forms of gels 500MG (Dosage 4 gels x twice a day) as is PharmaEPA and 1 Gram (dosage 2 gels twice a day). They decided to add the 500MG dosage for people who have a hard time swallowing.
That's interesting thanks, I was thinking about that. I wonder why, even though you may be be locked out from selling the buyers shares for a year, as was in my experience. This what happened with the Biomed company I worked for that was aquired.
I think you loose in the long run buy selling out before a B/O.

Yes a good idea, I will try to in the next couple of weeks. i iwll post my results - would like to see how PharmaEPA performs on this very important ratio!
One thing can you get your EPA/AA tested? I have not done this yet. I will bring the test code when I visit the doctor for my next physical and ask him to perform the test.
Yes that's my opinion! Seems they could spend there time more productively. Especially their lawyer, he must be spending money like a drunken sailor.
I just find it odd that they need all this money now, sure sell some now, most later when the company is profitable and the PPS is higher. I mean as investors isn't that what we are doing? Where in the same boat as management!
Well should should be taking at least 4 in the morning and 4 at night.
So this blood test give you a read on your EPA blood plasma level or EPA/AA?
Yes the Amarin team must be broke, eating relish sandwiches for lunch. I've been seeing form 4 emails filling my inbox, nearly weekly from Amarin since last fall. They have exercised millions in options and sold rather than holding. I think all this selling is premature, deliver us an approved cardiovascular drug, then start selling shares. The company has not even turned a profit! Why are they in such a rush...
This list gives you some perspective.

Who's the expert? No name.
A cardiologist who is familiar with the REDUCE-IT trial and has reviewed the new data presented at ACC 2019.
I would laugh if the dig up there old pal Dr. Steven Nissen.
I believe there are a lot of people in the same boat as us. No tier 2 coverage and don't want to dish out that kind of money monthly. If I didn't have kids at home I would pay the cash. But happy with the PharmaEPA product.
Yes I have seen prices go up and down on the PharmaEPA have no idea why. Last time I bought the price was up about two weeks ago. $29.95
per carton and have paid lower and higher amounts. $120 a month isn't to bad.
Yes of course. I would imagine some tax will be applied with withdraw. I may just leave this account for my daughters education. My trading account is where most of my money lies and I pay taxes on profits. short and long term.
Nick this is from Vanguard - rules for Roth IRA:
Age requirements
Contribute at any age.
Withdrawal taxes
You won't pay taxes when you withdraw your contributions, and you won't pay federal taxes on your earnings, as long as the five-year aging requirement has been met.
Early-withdrawal penalties
If you make withdrawals before you're 59½, you might have to pay taxes on your earnings plus a 10% additional tax.
Required minimum distributions (RMDs)
RMDs do not apply during your lifetime.
Contribution limits buy age
2018: $5,500, 2019: $6,000 (under age 50)
2018: $6,500, 2019: $7,000 (age 50 or older)
I think after age 59 1/2 to avoid penalty and must not remove funds for at least 5 years.
Let me check again though!
Well let me put it this way, many more options then I had with my 401K. My main goal was to buy more AMRN before Reduce-It Trial announcement I missed it by a day - when my funds where available, bought AMRN at around $10 a share which was fine buy me.
You disagree with what? - insurance coverage may be a cause for scripts/prescriptions not continuing or lack of insurance. I myself would be on Vascepa scripts now if it where not for insurance coverage, my doctor has no problem writing the script!
Actually I have more investment options virtually unlimited. From my experience 401K only offer funds or interest type accounts and you can not trade individual stocks. Has this changed?
I just rolled over my 401K, to a rollover IRA last fall, so started with a large amount of money. I make contributions after tax. I should be able to withdraw money in a few years tax free or at a lower rate I hope. You have to keep it in the account for 5 years, before withdrawing money and must be 59 1/2 years old, from my understanding. I will go over this with my tax accountant before withdrawing any funds.I have a trading account which I do pay taxes on trades I make. Made a lot on AMRN and hopefully a lot more.
I believe Amarin Stock and other stocks I have, will allow me to retire early.
Looks like congress is going to tackle financial transactions 'stocks' etc. focusing on HF Traders financial transactions with a small 1/10 of 1% tax, it would have little effect on normal traders, so it may work to combat HF trading.
10000 transactions $100 would be taxed $1000 that should be a eye opener for HF traders that are trying to make small amounts of money with thousands of trades.
Any thoughts.
yes the 401K has an advantage when it comes to contribution limit, the problem is the control and risk. The IRA limit is 7000 this year but you can trade, I rolled my 401K into a roll-over account. Glad I did it have better control as far as investing goes.
It may have more to do with doctors and lack of evidence, not renewing prescriptions or lack of insurance on the patients behave. A good example would be my case, I used Vascepa for Three years and now PharmaEPA 'Restore' because we lost our carrier which had Vacepa Tier 2.
Vascepa really is a life long drug, unless major diet changes occur. I suspect if that is the case as HDG mentioned. With evidence available proving reduction in major/ninor CVD events, patients will continue using and doctors prescribing, along with insurance paying for the prescription!
Well if you have a small cap Biomed's or small caps in general they usually take the brunt of the market drops.
A man with a heart, like me rather be home with the kids and wife.
Long commutes can be stressful.
Seems be having some effect on AMRN PPS and other Biotech's not sure why, he will be a round for another month or so!
I would bet along the lines of 15x peak sales might be more in line, lets see how 2019 turns out it, will be an exciting year for Amarin and shareholders.
I think early retirement is on the minds of most investors here. It may take a couple up to a few more years to reach 75-100 PPS. I would no mind the early pay out as long as it is around $75-$100 per share. Like you, I would not be happy with any figures below this amount. If we manage to get a weight loss indication in addition to CVD, the PPS will sky rocket much sooner.

The lingering question... why?
PPS About ready to make a new 1 year high!
The stock price volume is spiking again, not sure if this is over ACC or the announcement regarding updated Reduce-It ischemic event data to be released. Maybe rumors and more chatter regarding B.O.
This price action is a bit more fun than yeterday's nonsense.
The Dow and broader U.S. stock market declined sharply Monday afternoon, as investors digested President Donald Trump’s latest criticism of the ‘gentleman who loves quantitative tightening,’ a direct reference to Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.
Dow Plunges; S&P 500 and Nasdaq Follow
All of Wall Street’s major indexes erased gains to trade firmly in the red by midday. As of 12:42 p.m. ET, Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 322 points, or 1.2%, to 25,703.70.The blue-chip index rose triple digits after the open, reflecting a strong pre-market session for U.S. stock futures.
Do you have the NNT for the Reduce-It control arm? For comparison..
Both NASDAQ and IBB. No surprises here. Most on this board don't look at the obvious signals.
That is very good news! Looking forward to the meeting and data presented.
Well if this thing happens, the 65 number would not be bad! I would like to see 75 though! From the price action, we may not have to wait a few months.
Nice AMRN price action today, I bought the trading shares back, I sold, actually a little more I had $45,000 cash on hand. Good thing does not appear this is heading south.
Thanks look forward to your PM.
Ive been done for awhile...this was between me N40K.
It the case with AZN when they purchased EPANOVA from Omthera Pharmaceuticals . So the share holders got zip, no sales, because of Patent Infringement case.
Don't get me wrong I would like to see a BO, I'm in this camp.
Regarding J.T. Salary 600,000 is probably a fair salary. I consider most Biomed CEO's out there that are over paid for the small contribution they actually make. I'm sure bonuses added on top, make up for top line salary. I doubt he is crying milk over it! No reason to make insult over an opinion, this is one of your flaws. Might explain why you are retired.
I just wonder if they will screw options players who are holding 22.50 calls, I bought 2000 shares back but at a slightly higher price. I had the cash ready. But still have reservations regarding BO. Not that I don't want it, I do. Try not to get to high on it. There are mixed signals out there.
Now are they walking up the price so it makes the premium ratio look better if it's a stock trade.
Clearly a child like post as usual. LOL on that AMRN buyout.
