MC "I've been using supplements forever." I regard this as extremely negative. It demonstrates that very few buy the product since revenues are much lower than losses as far as I remember.
Chartmaster I think that if there had been a contract for 5 milion dollars the pps would have popped a lot. More pie in the sky may not suffice.
Biochemup I get impression that the challenge is selling the products that have already been developed. Revenues so far are very low indeed.
Bud - bid quickly back to $ 0.0029.
Bunker. I see eye to eye with you. You explain why I have the impression that a different poster was leading those who read the post astray.
Max2121 Read my last post. If you read my posts you will find that I go for honesty even when it comes to companies in which I am myself invested. I live in a part of the world where honesty counts for more than in the USA. Several US posters assume that I lie when I find negative points in companies in which I invest. I am no trader. I am interested in the realities regarding the companies in which I invest. One reality is that net assets in this company are negative and that revenues are minimal.
Max What you state is more or less my point. I quoted another post referring to an IPO and mentioned a ppa of about 10 dollars per share. If there is a spinoff of an almost worthless company that is hardly a big deal. Without any information about the value of the spinoff there is little reason for attaching any importance to it.
powerbattles "IPO SPACs typically start at $10." Do you have reason to believe that the IPO of BDPT will be a SPAC? If that is not the case why do you mention the pps an IPO SPAC typically start at? Patents not owned by the company may have little or no value for the IPO company I guess. To me it looks as if you try to generate a lot of optimism based on a very flimsy basis. I am totally new to this company and bought some shares yesterday based on a recommendation.
space If one percent of the outstanding shares trade in a single day that is heavy volume and not light volume!
RD That looks like a good idea in my view. It will be easy to handle in contradistinction to what happened when we signed up for shares in Ireem LLC.
bilvo It seems pretty obvious to me that your reaasoning is correct. But I think the numbers published are false anh that there is not much value in the assets. The hectic discussion on a different website has made me more convinced that this is the case. The bullish people posting there seem pretty stupid.
RD Thanks a lot RD for very interesting information. Prospects seem to be very promising.
Thanks for providing this information RD! The plans will necessitate the provision of a lot of money. Were will it come from? Is the sale of tokens progressing well based on your impression?
Exciting times!
This appears to me to be a very demanding job.
Thanks RD!
Dawg I have read several of the most recent posts. I get the impression that it is morons posting there.
The stock market does not see much impressed or convinced by the response of the Tingo Group to the points raised in the latest Hindenburg report. There is very little fresh information in it. Important points raised by Hindenburg are not addressed at all. A crucial point is who checked the allegations in the Hindenburg report. We get no name of a firm of lawyers or any person in this context.
down There is some very interesting information here, especially in the long term perspective. I get the impression that the crack spread for jet fuel is now a bit more than twice the average crack spread for the period 2016 - 2019. This could indicate that the current crack spread is likely to come down substantially. But the numbers for the third quarter seem likely to be quite good.
Penny There is little excess cash because almost all the money has allegedly been quickly spent on other things like buying 6 million smart phones, paying a lot of tax and for other purposes.
Penny I am unable to understand the logic of your post. However, my view is that the Hindenburg group mentioned some points in their latest report that seem incontrovertible to me. A well-known law firm was supposed to look into the controversy and come up with their assessment. That did not happen. Instead TIO tried to contest the content of the Hindenburg Report itself. There were also references to law firms as far as I remember, but the name of none was mentioned.
To me it looks unconvincing to order 6 million smart phones at the current stage. It looks like a pretext to reduce the alleged sum of cash by a big amount. After the quite extensive discussion in the Hindenburg report about the company that produced the smart phones I no longer regard what the Tingo Group states about this company as credible. I today sold my 8,000 shares owing to the above considerations and others.
Penny chatter
The following is from a PR released by Tingo Group February 14, 2023: "Andrew Uaboi, Vice President and Head, Visa West Africa, commented: “We believe in innovation-led collaborations, and that fintechs remain core to solving the access to financial services gap in Africa. Partnerships are fundamental to our business model and this expansion of our strategic alliance with Tingo Mobile is another example of how we can help our clients through the delivery of improved customer experiences.
“Given the importance of the agricultural sector to Africa’s present and future, this partnership will help to digitize the entire value chain for farmers by enabling seamless digital payments which will facilitate economic growth and support the financial inclusion agenda across the continent. We are proud to partner with Tingo Mobile and support their ambitions to bring more Africans into the financial system with relevant digital solutions.”
Has the Hindenburg Report claimed that the above is false? I don't remember if it has or not. If it was false I guess Visa would have taken some action. Has Visa been taken in? I don't know.
Dawg This article was published in June after the first Hindenburg report. Later both sides have presented their views.
lucky No, that ticker is unknown to me. I wonder whether it was PTOI. I think I lost about 50,000 dollars in that stock. I suspect it was doomed even if the process had worked well. It proved to expensive to handle the wasted plastic. I see that this stock is still trading. I lost a similar amount of money in a Swedish company which also converted waste plastic to oil. Other Nordic companies are in the same business losing money.
Dawg As far as I remember this happened about 20 years ago. The stock involved was dubious and I had the impression that the declaration of a dividend was to bolster the pps. What surprised me at the time was that a cash dividend is paid to the stockholder before it is paid by the company that is supposed to pay the dividend.
Dawg It is not sufficient to announcd a dividend. It must be paid and the paid dividend retained for some time by those who have received it. I once experienced that a swindling company announced a dividend and it was paid by the stock broking firm before it was received by the company that had announced. That company did not pay it and I had to return the dividend.
Dawg Thanks! I guess TMNA is free to make its own choice when it comes to how that cash dividend is handled.
"Earlier today, we announced the commencement of quarterly dividends payable to the holders of both of common stock and the Series B convertible preferred shares" Does the reference to Series B convertible preferred shares have any relation to the tmna shares?
I note that about 110 million shares have traded in two days worth more than 150 million dollars. Either there seems to be substantial shorting or a lot of these shares have traded more than once. I also note that some weeks the pps was higher than it is now despite the very good numbers recently published and despite the fact that a lot of the allegations in the Hindenburg report were countered a few days ago. The stock market behaves in strange ways.
Invest If you are right there is no big attraction. What is outside of Africa is a company that is losing a lot of money with no end in sight.
Thanks lucky. I remember your identity from many years ago but I forget the stocks you found faults with. If I remember correctly you are quite factual with no obvious agenda. A scam may be many different things. In some there is some false information in others everything is false. Time will presumably show.
lucky There are always a lot of risks mentioned in filings. In my view the ones you mention are very important that the risk some feared in the past that this is a total scam with next to no business activity. That was more or less what the Hindenburg report led us to believe. I therefore sold all my shares but have later bought back more than half in TMNA as I gradually realized that the Hindenburg report painted a false picture of the reality. I bought some shares in TIO and I am up almost 20% already. I am surprised that the stock market is so slow to act adequately in relation to positive news whereas it acted in an exaggerated way in relation to the misleading Hindenburg report.
Jackluke The strange thing is that TIO was higher than 1.6 dollars not long ago as far as I remember in anticipation of the filing of the quarterly numbers. Now the situation seems a lot better since a lot of the Hundenburg allegations have been countered.
aandt This stock looks extremely cheap in view of its earnings per share. I picked up 4,000 shares of TIO today. I have already bought about 115,000 TMNA at a pps a bit less than 8 cents per share.
This was a lot better than I had expected. Has the new in formation been perceived by the stock market so far?
The result of the report are incredibly positive as far as I can see. The pps is up about a third so far.
karla I apologize for my poor memory. I thought you referred to getting more shares in ITUP in lieu of cash dividends.
It is a bit surprising that this stock is up almost 50% at the same time that TIO is down a bit.
karla I don't see the point in a distribution of shares in ITUP in lieu of a distribution of cash dividends. The value of the shares in ITUP can be expected to drop by the same amount as the value of the shares that are distributed. It is a meaningless exercise in futility in my view.
Mark I am pretty sure you are mistaken. If there is a scamster it must be Solomon. I actually met him in Oslo at a hotel. I had to wait for hours because the Norwegian who participated in the attempt to save part of the value of the stock had very long talks with him.
