Shame its in BC.
Fjordland Drilling Discovers Significant Gold-Copper at
Woodjam Project, BC; Intersects 275 Metres Grading 1.03
g/t Gold and 0.14% Copper
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jul 6, 2004) -
Fjordland Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: FEX) reports it has discovered
significant gold-copper porphyry-type mineralization at the
Woodjam project in central British Columbia. Diamond drill hole
04-32 intersected 361.2 metres grading 0.84 g/t gold and 0.12%
copper from bedrock surface to the end of the hole at 365.2
metres, including 274.9 metres of 1.03 g/t gold and 0.14% copper.
Gold-copper mineralization occurs throughout the -50 degrees
inclined hole. The drilling was stopped prematurely because of
insufficient drill rods available at the time and the
contractor's prior commitments to another project. Casing was
left in place in anticipation of reentering the hole.
Being the deepest hole ever drilled at Woodjam, this discovery is
considered to be significant since it demonstrates the potential
for extensive mineralization at depth and laterally below the
level of previous drilling. Past drilling by various operators on
the Megabuck Zone, consisting of 28 holes drilled from 1974 to
2002, encountered inconsistent gold-copper mineralization from
surface to a depth of approximately 175 metres within a 600 metre
by 450 metre area at the western end of a 2 kilometre long
induced polarization (IP) geophysical response.
As the first diamond drill hole of Fjordland's 2004 exploration
program, hole 04-32 focussed on testing the depth extent of
gold-copper mineralization on the Megabuck Zone. More deep holes
to determine the extent of gold and copper mineralization to
these levels are planned this year. A 2003 reconnaissance drill
hole, located within the IP anomaly approximately 800 metres east
of Megabuck, intersected 15 metres grading 0.90% copper, has yet
to be followed-up.
Mineralization at Woodjam is associated with a subvolcanic quartz
monzonite intrusion(s) in proximity to Takla Group volcanic
rocks, a common characteristic of major porphyry copper-gold
deposits in the Quesnel Trough mineral belt including Northgate
Mineral's (TSX: NGX) Kemess deposits and Imperial Metals
Corporation's (TSX: III) Mount Polley mine. Geologically, another
analogy can be made between the Woodjam property and Newcrest
Mining's (AX: NCM) Cadia Hill deposit in Australia.
Drilling by Imperial Metals at the Mount Polley property, located
35 kilometres northwest of Woodjam, has resulted in significant
copper-gold discoveries in 2003 and 2004. These discoveries have
increased the value of Imperial Metal's market capitalization
from a pre-discovery value of approximately $8 million in mid
2003 to greater than $150 million post discovery.
Given the success of the recent drilling at Woodjam, the Company
has recently staked additional claims to increase the size of the
property to approximately 4,550 hectares. The property has easy
year-round road access and nearby infrastructure, being situated
in a logging area 10 kilometres south of the village of Horsefly.
The entire Woodjam property is subject to an option agreement
between the Company and Wildrose Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: WRS),
which permits Fjordland to earn a 60% interest in Woodjam (see
news release dated August 1, 2001 or Woodjam technical report
http://www.fjordlandex.com/property/QPWoodjam04.pdf).
Commented Bill Morton, President of Wildrose, "Given Fjordland's
significant discovery, as well as the fact that the area is
recognized as among the most prospective mining districts in
North America for discovery of large gold-copper deposits, we
feel it is prudent to add to our land position." Added Mr.
Morton, "After being relatively inactive for over a decade, the
Cariboo region is experiencing a surge in exploration activity,
fueled by discoveries at Mount Polley and higher metal prices."
Under the supervision of L. John Peters, P.Geo., who is a
qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101, all
core samples were split in half at the drill site, with one-half
of the core sample retained on site and the other half sent to
Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd, an ISO 9001:2000 accredited
laboratory in Vancouver, B.C., for analyses. Samples were
analyzed by fire assay fusion with an inductively coupled plasma
atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-ES) finish for gold, and dilute
aqua-regia digestion with ICP-ES for a multi-element suite. Lab
controls consist of having 2 in-house standards and 1 blank
inserted as well as 1 randomly picked duplicate for every 30
samples.
Megabuck is one of three gold-copper zones identified to date at
Woodjam. Further information about the Woodjam project is
available on the Company's website at www.fjordlandex.com.

I believe so. I have not seen a gold/nickel mix before - especially in that rich a mixture. Usually you find high Cu/Au with trace Ni or the opposite.
I would guess that it will be narrow vein stuff.
I would have to give way to a geo - if one is reading this.
Can't find any.
http://www.ame.com.au/mines/ni/mines.htm
On Magenta property:
"One grab sample obtained from an old adit in the No. 1 vein assayed 340 grams/tonne gold, 8% nickel and 11% cobalt. "
That's a nice grab sample.
Heads up.
Kodiak KXL is up 32% from more less one brokerage buying.
There is so much shite (base and PMs) running through their property they will be drilling for years IMO.
They do have an issue with their NRs as they don't appear in yahoo nor stockhouse. I don't think many are aware of what they are working with.
Still long.

Got Nickel?
LME nickel ends the day at $6.75/lb.
* The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics predicts nickel mine production is expected to increase 3.2% in the next 12 months. It is also predicting the current upswing in prices will continue in the latter half of 2004.
* Yahoo Finance has published an article this AM quoting some new price predictions for nickel. They are also advising that 1,464 tonnes of the 8,298 tonnes we listed this morning as LME inventory is cancelled warrant - meaning it doesn't exist and will be removed in the coming days. With the current usage sucking nearly 1000 tons a week, and a nearly 1500 ton write-off approaching, you cna understand why experts are calling the current inventory levels "critical". ANZ Investment Bank is predicting the current up-trend in pricing will exceed the Jan 6 high of $8.06/lb. Macquarie Research, one of the most well known and respected research group's, is now predicitng nickel will average $6.80 to $7.70/lb during the next 6 - 12 months, but even they admit "the sky is the limit" in the panic market we are witnessing. Both expect downward adjustements, as the market is overheating, but they estimate these adjustements will be temporary. If this proves true, then the slight decreases we are now starting to see overseas in stainless steel pricing will end, and we could see stainless steel climb even higher by winter.
* Nickle opened the week strong again this week after stocks of LME nickel fell 186 tonnes Friday to 8,298/tonnes. These low levels were last seen in October 1991, and some industry experts say they are reaching "critically" low levels. Selling at $6.85/lb at 8:30 EST.

Approximately 80 drill holes are planned to continue to expand the zone for the 2004 drill program on the El Manto Zone, including twinning of some historic high grade silver intercepts (such as 22.7 ounces per ton over 52 feet). Drilling will resume on June 14, and additional drill results should be available by the middle of July.
Randall Reneau, P. Geo, Oremex's Chief Geologist, is the Qualified Person (QP) responsible for the Tejamen exploration and has verified the data in the table above.
Vancouver, British Columbia, June 15, 2004 - Kodiak Exploration Limited (TSX.V: KXL) is pleased to report assays indicating further high-grade gold mineralization in the Kipper -Cameron Zone. This gold mineralization has now been traced for 1.2 kilometres and remains open along strike. The Kipper- Cameron is one of 23 known gold showings identified so far in 4 gold bearing shear zones on the Company’s 100 per cent controlled Knucklethumb Property, with a combined total strike length of at least 18 kilometres.
Twenty-three grab samples taken over a strike length of 1.2 kilometres during the initial stages of the 2004 prospecting program on the Kipper-Cameron Zone contained gold values greater than 1.0 grams gold per tonne, with samples assaying up to 87.3 grams per tonne of gold (2.54 oz/t Au). The gold mineralization lies along a WNW-striking, 2.5 kilometre long, gold bearing shear zone that appears to be a splay from the 10 kilometre long gold bearing JR shear zone to the east. The JR Shear zone contains the Jaz, Claim Line, DH and Ryne high-grade gold zones that are also being prospected and mechanically excavated along strike. (See news release June 9, 2004).
Historical assays from the Kipper-Cameron Zone include a grab sample of 3347 g/t Au (97.74 oz/t Au) and the following historic channel samples:

Kodiak is currently completing an Induced Polarization and ground magnetic survey on the Kipper-Cameron Zone, which in the near term will guide an extensive mechanical stripping and channel sampling program to further expose and define the known mineralization along strike and determine the geological controls of the mineralized zones.
All Kodiak rock samples are delivered to and analysed by Accurassay Laboratories in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Samples are routinely determined by conventional Fire Assay with AAS finish. Selected samples and those containing visible gold are analysed using the pulp metallic procedure. The qualified person for this project, under the definitions established by National Instrument 43-101, is Christopher Marmont, M.Sc., P. Geo.
The Knucklethumb Property is located 210 kilometres north east of Thunder Bay, Ontario and is road accessible. Kodiak’s 2004 exploration program will cover at least eleven of the 23 known showings on the Property: the Claim Line, the DH, the Ryne, the Jaz, the Hourglass, the Cabin, the Big Bear, the Kipper-Cameron, the Kodiak, the Buck, the Vent and the Wobbegong. Further results will be published as they become available. Maps, photographs and additional historical information may be reviewed on Kodiak’s website at www.kodiakexp.com.
I found that when a stock is halted there is nothing in it for them to hide the info. Maybe not all of it can be said but the nature of the stoppage can be.
anyway your call.
I would have rung the company by now. why wait?
is vtx halted? I have it doing 800k yesterday and NONE today.
I would be happy with drill grades half that, which is mine-able IMO - narrow width or not. What they have to prove is the consistency of the grade along strike and depth – excavate and drill the sucker. The former they are doing now. I like what I see, and with some drilling could be a "Red Lake".
VTX: PM and energy, nice combo in this day-in-age. I am hoping to have a little delve this weekend.
Thanks

I was expecting some sort of recovery after this drop from which to sell into. Doesn't look like one is coming for a while.
Anyway I don't like that kind of surprise (narrow vein system), I was lead to believe they had a much wider vein system. Asked them several times on the subject, that is why I sold.
The G zone looks the most interesting, when they start into that I might come back.
Good luck.
Better late then never. Ha ha.
Its an interesting Red Lake type drill play but we can talk about it on your thread.
BTW sold all my INM.
Can I play with KXL.V?
Mine needs a little redecorating.
Yes I went to the Twilight Zone once. Stayed as long as I could, not for everyone ya know.
Talking about Strange things inside a Gold Mine. How's yours?
Ah yes gotcha, you are UP to something and it’s bad. Thought so.

PRESS RELEASE
INTERNATIONAL NORTHAIR MINES LTD.
April 27, 2004
Suite 860 - 625 Howe Street, Vancouver, B.C. V6C 2T6 CANADA
Telephone: (604) 687-7545 Facsimile: (604) 689-5041 #04-07_______________
NORTHAIR STAKES LA JOYA GOLD PROJECT: DURANGO, MEXICO
International Northair Mines Ltd. (TSXV:INM) has acquired an additional precious metals property located in the state of
Durango, Mexico. The “La Joya” Project is located along the western flanks of the Sierra Madre Occidental province,
approximately 110 kilometers southwest of the city of Durango. La Joya was identified and staked by Company geologists as
a result of Northair’s ongoing generative exploration program. This acquisition has expanded Northair’s current portfolio of
early stage, gold and silver projects in Mexico to four, including the highly prospective El Tesoro Project, where an expanded
exploration program continues.
The wholly owned concession covers 800 hectares, and lies in a geologic setting similar to the Company’s Las Moras and El
Tesoro properties. La Joya has the potential to contain both high grade vein as well as bulk tonnage gold - silver deposits.
Within the property position, geologists have identified a possible rhyolite dome with outlying rhyolite dykes. Two zones of
alteration and mineralization have been identified to date. The A Zone contains a rhyolite dyke, ranging from 5 – 20 meters in
width, which has been traced over a strike length of 130 meters, and is open in both directions. Within the dyke are numerous
low sulfidation quartz veins ranging from 1 – 1.5 meters in width. Eleven grab samples taken from the A Zone have returned
gold values ranging from anomalous to 1.57 g/t.
The B Zone lies about 300 metres west of the A Zone, and has been traced by intermittent outcrops over a strike length of 250
metres, and remains open in both directions. Average widths of the structure range from approximately 3 to over 50 meters. A
total of 15 representative panel reconnaissance and continuous chip samples have been taken from the B Zone, with very
encouraging gold and silver results. Six samples exceeding 1 g/t gold are listed below:
Sample Au g/t Ag g/t
LBR-10 4.58 36.3
LBR-11 1.40 50.4
LBR-12 1.71 52.0
SP-4 4.58 66.3
SP-5 2.12 231.0
SP-6 4.01 60.5
The Company is encouraged by these initial results and has commenced a detailed geological mapping and sampling program.
The exploration program is under the direction of Mr. Jim Robinson, Vice President of the Company, who is a Qualified
Person as defined by NI 43-101.
Northair’s Mexican generative exploration program has been highly successful in acquiring and joint venturing six quality
projects over the past five years, including drilling of some of these projects by major mining companies. The Company has an
annual generative exploration budget exceeding $300,000CDN to maintain its first-mover advantage.

No, apparently the NR has to go around each board member for input. Which is a little worrisome as it makes we wonder what they have. Results could be complicated or not straightforward, hence not layman friendly.
mine too, watch for 389 on the gold and if it gets there start selling. Otherwise I am still positive.
