Vancouver, British Columbia, June 15, 2004 - Kodiak Exploration Limited (TSX.V: KXL) is pleased to report assays indicating further high-grade gold mineralization in the Kipper -Cameron Zone. This gold mineralization has now been traced for 1.2 kilometres and remains open along strike. The Kipper- Cameron is one of 23 known gold showings identified so far in 4 gold bearing shear zones on the Company’s 100 per cent controlled Knucklethumb Property, with a combined total strike length of at least 18 kilometres.

Twenty-three grab samples taken over a strike length of 1.2 kilometres during the initial stages of the 2004 prospecting program on the Kipper-Cameron Zone contained gold values greater than 1.0 grams gold per tonne, with samples assaying up to 87.3 grams per tonne of gold (2.54 oz/t Au). The gold mineralization lies along a WNW-striking, 2.5 kilometre long, gold bearing shear zone that appears to be a splay from the 10 kilometre long gold bearing JR shear zone to the east. The JR Shear zone contains the Jaz, Claim Line, DH and Ryne high-grade gold zones that are also being prospected and mechanically excavated along strike. (See news release June 9, 2004).

Historical assays from the Kipper-Cameron Zone include a grab sample of 3347 g/t Au (97.74 oz/t Au) and the following historic channel samples:

Kodiak is currently completing an Induced Polarization and ground magnetic survey on the Kipper-Cameron Zone, which in the near term will guide an extensive mechanical stripping and channel sampling program to further expose and define the known mineralization along strike and determine the geological controls of the mineralized zones.

All Kodiak rock samples are delivered to and analysed by Accurassay Laboratories in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Samples are routinely determined by conventional Fire Assay with AAS finish. Selected samples and those containing visible gold are analysed using the pulp metallic procedure. The qualified person for this project, under the definitions established by National Instrument 43-101, is Christopher Marmont, M.Sc., P. Geo.

The Knucklethumb Property is located 210 kilometres north east of Thunder Bay, Ontario and is road accessible. Kodiak’s 2004 exploration program will cover at least eleven of the 23 known showings on the Property: the Claim Line, the DH, the Ryne, the Jaz, the Hourglass, the Cabin, the Big Bear, the Kipper-Cameron, the Kodiak, the Buck, the Vent and the Wobbegong. Further results will be published as they become available. Maps, photographs and additional historical information may be reviewed on Kodiak’s website at www.kodiakexp.com.
